Kind of surprised with how little the Lions have used Gibbs. I know Montgomery is more their bread and butter but Gibbs' breakaway speed hasn't been a factor at all.

Defenses play our offense a lot differently from how they play the Saints. Against the Saints they're playing closer to the LoS to make sure Kamara doesn't take over the game. Against us they are hanging back making sure Allen doesn't beat them deep... MVS couldn't produce with us for the same reason he couldn't produce with the Chiefs. He runs basically one route and it's the one route defenses are selling out to stop when they play Allen and Mahomes.

Goff's problem is he can't deal with any kind of pressure. He's been protected extremely well this year so it hasn't come up much. It's a real problem though, trying to win a Super Bowl with a QB that can't throw from a muddy pocket. San Fran found that out in the Super Bowl too.

There's the infamous "replay assistance" that they only use in primetime games... What is the harm of using it in every game?

I think you have to do the counterintuitive thing and stop their run game first. Their formula on offense is get into 3rd and short and then convert it. If our game plan is the same old sit back and force them to be patient, they will happily oblige and move the ball at will.

Cooper Rush is 13/23 for 45 yards... 2.0 YPA... Dak may not be elite but his absence is showing how poor that offense really is.

Nah forget about the DL. This regime could spend the entire salary cap and all draft picks on DL and we still wouldn't get consistent pressure with four. Over invest in the offense and go scorched earth like Detroit has done this year. Put up 30+ every week and the defense becomes a non factor.

The Jets defense inexplicably is a bigger problem than their offense. You hate to see it.

I mean THIS offense where Hollins and Samuel are our outside WRs isn't very good. Once Cooper and Coleman are back it's more talented than the offense we finished last year with. I'm a lot more confident in our offense in the playoffs than I am in our defense. The utter lack of defensive line impact in recent weeks is a huge concern. And that applies to the run and the pass.

It sucks that despite having an 8-2 record we probably have like a 10% chance of the #1 seed because of a difficult remaining schedule and the Chiefs making a deal with the devil. But I feel pretty good about the #2 seed. Root for the Steelers to win their division and we might get lucky with the Chiefs and Ravens playing each other in the divisional round.

You know for a "dud" it really wasn't that bad. He's playing without a single starting caliber outside WR and the run game was just okay. He had two bad INTs but otherwise he was responsible for dragging this sorry group of pass catchers down the field. Credit to Brady too, for similar reasons. There were no gimme plays on the play sheet today. We had to really earn every yard and Brady did a good job keeping the offense on schedule.

With the WR group as it stands today, no chance. If Cooper is back then for my money it is a coin flip game.

Denver just got a 1st down to the Chiefs 16. They can run clock and kick a short FG to win the game.
