Yeah this has to be the year. They just lost their #1 WR for the season. Kelce is not a JAG but he isn't his elite self anymore either. They have OT problems. If we can't beat them with all that going against them, we never will under this coaching staff. But I'm optimistic.
-
Can the Chiefs really make it work with no #1 WR and bad OT play for an entire season? Dumb to totally count them out but man that is a lot to overcome.
-
I honestly feel very good about our chances against KC if Rice is out for the season as it seems. Their defense has been winning them games and I don't think any defense can hold down our offense for long. They don't have much that scares you on offense. As long as don't enter the game nervous like every other team they face, we should be the favorites.
-
It is two different sports the way these offenses have been called. I'm certain we are the only AFC team that has any chance of stopping the Chiefs this year.
-
Everything on their offense has taken turns in this one. The OL, the QB, the skill players, and in my opinion most of all the coaching.

Holy **** I really cannot believe this 1st down play calling
-
Let's keep running up the middle for 1-2 yards a clip.

Honestly every time I watch a Chiefs game I end up hating their opponent more than I hate them. Ravens had them beat but Lamar missed open WRs and his TE couldn't keep his toe in. Bengals had them beat but jumped on the back of the intended WR on probably an uncatchable pass. Falcons had them beat but ran directly at Chris Jones on 4th and 1. Chargers had them beat but horribly mismanaged a critical series in the red zone and came away with 0 points. It's mind numbing how their opponents just keep stacking unforced errors against them. While the Chiefs just sit back and let the game come to them and it never fails.
-
The difference in this game isn't talent. It's mentality. The Chiefs come into every play ready to go. The Chargers come into every play scared. It starts with coaching.
-
Like I've said a million times the Chiefs don't actively beat anyone. Their opponent just always makes the big mistake in the big moment. It's uncanny.

It's been this way all game except for one big play. I don't understand why Jim Harbaugh of all people didn't take the points on the previous drive. He thinks this is a shootout or what?
-
Great stand there. Can Herbert make a single play to put his team on top?
-
Should have kicked the FG there. In this kind of game with Herbert as your QB that is 100% the right decision. Harbaugh made every wrong decision on that series. As usual the Chiefs don't beat teams, they wait for the win to be handed to them. And their opponent always obliged.
-
Just amazing how EVERY coach makes brain dead mistakes against the Chiefs. And EVERY ref call goes their way. There's no conspiracy, it is just dumb.
-
Wtf was Palmer doing there? He could have stood up and jumped forward for the 1st, instead he tried to somersault for it.
-
How about Quentin Johnston going from year one bust to big time contributor?
-
Wow Herbert really sucks
-
There's the massive difference between Allen/Mahomes and every other QB. When their offense needs a big 3rd down conversion they find a way to deliver. Doesn't matter what players are on the field with them. On the other side when Herbert's team needs a big play he throws a sideline ball to nowhere.
-
Herbert is like Lawrence, NEVER makes a big play when his team needs one.
-
I already know Rice's knee injury will be miraculously just a minor sprain
-
I mean really you lose your best player for the season, go down by 10, and somehow the momentum is 100% in their direction.
-
I take back what I said about the Chiefs possibly not being able to win their division. The coaching mismatch between them and the rest of the division is hilariously wide. You could trade all the rosters around and the Chiefs would still win the division.
-
It's bad coaching. The Chiefs walk into every game with a massive coaching advantage. The only thing you cannot let happen there is a deep TD. Undisciplined coaching leads to undisciplined plays. And the Chiefs end up winning games where they were outplayed because of it.
