    I'm enjoying Mahomes looking pedestrian.

The one narrative that came from the AFCCG that I never understood is that Mahomes is just plain better than Allen with no debate. That wasn't the case the rest of the season. Mahomes had wide open pass catchers and no pressure all game long against us. People acted like it made no difference.

There are no teams in the NFL, not even the Chiefs, who can do everything. The Bills need to find some wrinkles to try and tackle KC, but they can't give up on the identity that got them to the AFCCG.

Problem is our identity matches up terribly with the Chiefs. We can't run and we try to set up long developing pass plays with no top tier RBs or TEs to catch passes in the flat. On defense we can't rush with 4. So yes against the Chiefs we need to do different things well.

I felt that there was no way the cap would not go up, the league/owners would not benefit in any way from freezing the cap at the current level, the owners are more than happy to “loan” themselves money to keep the gravy train rolling...

$185 million would still be a decrease of $13 million from 2020. It will still be a tough offseason for many teams, the Bills included.

They both mentioned that the running game woes werd more oline and scheme related, than RB related.

Don't trust anything Beane says until after the draft. He isn't going to come out and say that he wants to draft a RB early. Considering he tried to sign Leveon Bell earlier this year he clearly thinks they need more from the position.

  5. I think in general to beat the Chiefs, McDermott needs to reverse his whole philosophy. He gives up easy yards to prevent big plays because most offenses will eventually make a mistake. Against the Chiefs do the opposite. Don't give them easy yards. Mug their receivers at the line and bring the safety up to bracket Kelce. Yeah they'll hit a couple big plays on the back end. Oh well. That just means Allen and Diggs are back on the field. The alternative is let them slow bleed you all the way to the endzone. We've tried that method twice and failed. Might as well try it the other way.
