Okay that was a sick throw

Jalen Virgil is on our roster, but I would still classify him as that caliber of player. In retrospect unrosterable isn't the right term. 50th man on the roster is a better descriptor. That's Sherfield. He's only played 18% of offensive snaps and he has 8 targets. Hollins is clearly a step above that. Earlier in the thread I said the offense performs better when Hollins is targeted 0-2 times per game. We've gotten more examples since then and it's still true. We've scored 32.25 PPG in games where he's gotten 0-2 targets. Only 20.75 PPG in games where he's gotten more than that. But for the role we have him in he's a perfect match, no question. He was critical to our rushing success against San Fran. He turned his 1 target into a great TD catch. Credit to Beane for building up the offensive supporting cast enough to put Hollins in a role where he can thrive.

My takeaway from this game is that the Bengals and Dolphins are going to have a hell of a time wresting the 7 seed from Denver. Both of them needed Denver to lose this game to have any kind of chance of sneaking in.

I really hope I'm wrong about the Chiefs and they somehow drop two games. I see the Bills finishing no worse than 14-3, and that record really does deserve the #1 seed and a bye.

To the MVP voters it might not. To reality, it does. Swap out Allen with a replacement level QB and we're like 5-7 at best. Swap Barkley out with a replacement level RB and they're still at like 9 wins. It's really not debatable.

Ridiculous to even have a RB in the conversation IMO. Barkley isn't even the MVP of his own offense. That would be, in order, Jalen Hurts, AJ Brown, Jordan Mailata, Devonta Smith, and then Barkley can add his name. Give him the OPOY for sure. MVP would be a complete joke. The award isn't for the best player, it's for the most valuable player. Barkley had less YPC when he was with the Giants than D'Andre Swift had last year in Philly. Great player of course but he's a luxury, not the engine that makes the operation work.

Brown and Torrence as a pair were fantastic tonight. Every big Cook run went to the right including the 65 yarder.

On the postgame show the on-field analyst asked Josh what his favorite TD was, clearly fishing for the lateral TD. Josh's immediate answer was the TD pas to Hollins, saying he knows how hard Hollins works and that he made a great play. We're lucky to have Josh as a representative of WNY. An all-time player and an all-time leader.

Martin was good, Bass nailed all his XPs, and the 49ers returner failed to secure the ball. Everything else has been abysmal.

Doesn't matter ultimately but it's hard to have a worse special teams performance than what we showed tonight
