I have a really good feeling about this one. We will completely dominate them. I haven't felt that way about any other game this year.

I will be shocked if they don't draft a WR in the 1st. Couldnt tell you who but they're going to add some talent to this offense.

I know you took some flack on this one, but while I don’t know about “worse”, the Gronkowski hit on Tre was certainly very dangerous.
Here's the clip:
That's one of the most dangerous hits I've ever seen. He could have severely damaged Tre's neck and ended his career. No one seemed to care.

I can't believe Kitchens actually said this!

This angle makes it look even worse than I thought.

Am I crazy or was this no worse than the hit Gronk put on Tre White? That was one of the dirtiest hits I've ever seen and no seemed to really care.
I think Garrett will be suspended the rest of the season.

Browns are the Bills.
I don't think there's any similarity between us at all. Not at a single position group. What does this mean?

Perfect, the Steelers lose and the Browns lose their best player for at least 1 game.

It's more likely Fitz dominates the Bills.
If you think it's "more likely" we get dominated I'll happily make a bet. $100 to me if we win the game by 7 points or more. $100 to you if Miami wins the game outright. Anything in between is a push. Let me know if you're confident enough in this post to take me up on that.
-
I don't know if we'll blow the doors off them but we should have complete control from start to finish. Fitz doesn't have the element of surprise this time around and their best WR is out for the season. My question is, is Daboll smart enough to pound the rock in this game? We don't need to air it out. Control the clock and score TDs on long drives and we'll win this one going away. I know the message this week was "play fearless" but this game doesn't require that.

but at end of the day played for a 53 yard FG to tieSo McD does this mean you are going to actually go for Points at end of half instead of kneeling it out?
They didn't play for a tie. I find it funny some people are criticizing the 20 yard throw in 3rd and 4 and others are criticizing them for playing too conservative. I mean I think they made a good play call and it just wasn't executed right. I don't think they intentionally trying to get a field goal.

But I am saying that it was a legitimate question. Because the offense has not shown any marked improvement.
But that wasn't his question. His question was about stats in Tyrod's first 20 games vs Allen's stats in his first 20 games, specifically his yards per game. If you can't see on the face of it why that question is stupid there's no more conversation to be had.

What? My original point was that QB’s past year 2 do not take great leaps forward in ability in today’s NFL. Mahomes doesn’t invalidate that, he MAKES MY POINT. Unless you’re arguing he’s taken a leap from last year??
No, you said project QBs never work out. Mahomes was a project QB. Actually Aaron Rodgers was a project QB who didn't start until after 3 years. There's another one. What's the excuse for why he doesn't count?

Mahomes did not require 3 years. He was better in his second start than every single one of Allen’s starts ever.
Well this an entirely different point than what you just made, but sure. It's interesting how every example someone posted to counter your point about project QBs and improvement beyond year 2 has been hand waved away somehow.

The fact of the matter is that “projects” do not and have not succeeded in the NFL in the last ten years. They just don’t.
I learned the hard way with Mahomes this is not true. He was a classic project QB that had to be developed for a year before even seeing the field. I felt the same way about him as I did about Allen. Now I'm keeping an open mind.

A legitimate question would be to ask McDermott why the offense hasn't improved after 2 years. Asking McDermott about a specific cherry picked stat for a rookie vs a veteran is not legitimate. It is basically just trolling.

That was 15 years ago hombre. The NFL has changed just a bit since 2004.
What rule changes in the NFL have eliminated the ability to improve? This doesn't make any sense. And honestly Allen is a rare case. I'm not just saying that because he's on the Bills. Before we drafted him I thought whatever team took him would need to sit him for 2 years based on his history at the position. I wouldn't bet on him becoming a top 10 QB but if he keeps trending up I'm not looking elsewhere. Might as well enjoy the ride.

Oh they absolutely did. I posted the stats up thread. Dalton and Tanny both made strides between years 1-3
Yes, and then they plateaued or regressed. Allen might just keep improving. So I don't know what the discussion is about at this point. No one knows anything about how he'll end up. Until he stops improving he isn't going anywhere.

Andy Dalton hasn’t been very bad his whole career. Neither has Ryan Tannehill. Excellent news.
But Dalton and Tannehill didn't improve. Allen has. Maybe he won't continue to improve. I'm not sure why anyone would presume to know either way. If you look at his short career 4 games at a time you will see consistent improvement at every step. The only time I've been really nervous is after the Pats game because it was a total regression on everything he'd learned but that turned out to be an outlier.

BTW did anyone hear how great KB or Holmes are playing this year ? Since they were Allen’s #1& # 2 WR’s last year
There was a point in 2017 where I said Andre Holmes was a poor man's version of Kelvin Benjamin. By the middle of last season I was saying the opposite.

My guess is that after the 2nd Pats game a lot more people are going to be questioning if our starting QB is actually any good.
I think this is a fair point. The 2nd Pats game is an opportunity for him to show measurable progress. If he fails again it will raise questions. Not saying we need to beat them for him to prove something but he should look much better than he did in week 4.

John Brown is a good WR, but IMO he's a #2 WR.
Correct. And he's on pace to have more receiving yards than any season of his career, about 200 yards more than his best season actually. Our offense also doesn't have a #2 receiver. We have a #2 playing as a #1 and a bunch of gadget/situational guys behind him.
