Cincy got Chiefs-esque luck in this one. Two picks off drops that bounced to a defender and 4 points lost on kicks. Still don't see them as a playoff team, too many fundamental issues on that roster.

Cincy will probably win this one but not exactly the week 1 start they were looking for. Their secondary and OL have been as bad as advertised.

Browns offense is slow and laboring and janky, but Cincy's awful defense just can't put them away.

They were a very trendy pick to miss the playoffs. Not sure why that narrative started but Daniels is just as good as he was last year which makes them almost an automatic playoff team.

Rodgers to Metcalf is going to be a problem

Jayden Daniels isn't going to have a sophomore slump. Had some pretty throws on that TD drive.

Those guys aren't gonna fix the defense which was the bigger problem tonight. Spags was blitzing like crazy because 4 man pressures weren't getting any kind of push. The back 7 was losing 1v1 matchups at every level of the field. LA's WR corps on the whole is below average and Herbert still managed over 300 yards and 3 TDs - a stat line he hasn't pulled off since 2023. A series of poor draft picks and some of their cornerstone defensive players aging out has left them seriously undermanned on that side of the ball.

Bad night for the Chiefs 2024 draft. Worthy seriously hurt on a routine collision. Suamataia was terrible at LT last year and doesn't look much better at LG. Jared Wiley was a healthy scratch. Jaden Hicks got picked on all night. The coaching staff and the QB hid a lot of roster problems tonight and it still wasn't enough to overcome it all.

My final thought on this game is that it shows how difficult it is to beat the Chiefs. You have to make like five different game winning plays. If you think you have them beat at any point before the 4th quarter, guess again and buckle up. They have an uncanny ability to steal momentum at the drop of a hat and you just have to ride the wave and find a way to steal it back. Herbert needed to be that dude tonight and he was.

Bad safety play and underwhelming front 4 pressure

Mahomes made all the trick plays but Herbert made all the right plays. Awesome performance.

I bad mouthed Harbaugh earlier and he deserved it. But he gets a lot of credit for leaving the game in the hands of his QB who's on a heater. Seen plenty of coaches screw up these moments and go 3 and out with weak play calling.

Mahomes is so weird tonight. He's hitting every trick shot but has missed a bunch of the easier ones.
