The Chiefs for sure after their performance against the Cardinals. My biggest fear is getting drawn into another shootout against them in the playoffs. Although apparently the Cardinals blitzed Mahomes on over 50% of his dropbacks which is a total failure of defensive game planning so that makes me feel a little better.

You're not supposed to blitz Mahomes. Kliff Kingsbury is an idiot.

True, but the QB in question also has a history of that. And it's his 3rd year. There's a point where you have to accept that the player is who he is.

I saw almost every throw and I didn't see him look beyond his 1st read a single time. Even some of those open 1st read throws he flat out missed. When his 1st read was covered he panicked and either threw a near-interception or took a bad sack and almost coughed up a fumble on one occasion. All of that against a severely undermanned Pats defense. It was flat out a bad game. The stat line is all scheme and skill players making plays. He is a below average game manager and it's all he'll ever be.

I know some on here really liked Tolbert. I guess the jump from a directional school to the NFL was too big, at least for now.

This win is going to give Daboll a lot of good will with Giants fans. With how awful that roster is he'll need every ounce of it. Good for him getting a win, and better for us with a conference rival losing one of their gimme games.

Week 1 survivor is tough. My rule is don't pick good teams that suffered a big loss in the offseason. That means Titans and Chiefs were off the table for me. I thought Ravens were the no-brainer pick especially after Duane Brown went on IR.

Allen could have had 5+ TDs against the SB champs if we didn't have 3 turnovers off of sloppy plays by his teammates. Both offenses are pretty equal, I think our defense will make the difference. At least I hope.

I'll say this about the Chiefs, their defense from front to back is not nearly as impressive as ours is. Our pass rush should be the difference maker in that one.

I'm just talking about their level of play right now, not their accomplishments.

I would put Herbert in the same tier. And then there is a massive drop off.

We'll get a first taste of that possibility when they play the Chargers on Thursday night. The Cardinals defense is an abomination. Poorly coached and lacking in talent.

Oh well, our pass rush will have to be the difference against the Chiefs. Otherwise it will be another shootout.

His drug-induced spirit journey apparently didn't bring him to enlightenment.

If only there was some kind of offseason program where he could have gotten together with his receivers and developed chemistry.

Right now it's Allen and Mahomes and Herbert, and then 29 other guys in whatever order you want to put them in.

I'll give Kyler Murray some credit too, he's playing very well with a much worse supporting cast than what Mahomes has.

Both. Andy Reid is still the best offensive mind in the game. Mahomes isn't doing anything crazy, just finding open guys and getting it to them. And the Cardinals defensive spacing is awful, they aren't in position to contest any passes and they're allowing for a ton of YAC.

Chiefs/Cardinals is over. Please let the AFC West beat them up this year. I can't handle another playoff game in Arrowhead.
