NFL Week #3 - Bills at the Dolphins - 1st half game thread
HappyDays replied to BuffaloBill's topic in The Stadium Wall
Miller and Rousseau need to step up. The secondary is not going to be able to hold up for too long. I really wish we had Oliver in this one. -

Allen has become Peyton Manning with the power run ability of a fullback and a stronger arm. He is unstoppable for 5 straight games now. -

What a freaking dime. I feel better on 2nd and 19 than I do 3rd and 1. -

When Singletary has the ball in his hands good things happen. I know Moss is our best pass protecting back and they don't want to signal the play call to the defense. But frankly I don't care. When Moss is in, the defense can know with 100% certainty we will pass the ball. Pass it anyways. -

I don't get it. Allen is playing with his hair on fire and we hand the ball off to a glorified fullback on 2 consecutive plays. There is no rational explanation for that. -

I haven't seen Dawkins get beat that badly in a long time -

Delayed handoff to Moss. Why? Every run to Moss is automatically delayed. -

I wonder if we called a timeout to prepare for a fake. -

That was an effortless looking drive. And I can't believe Miami blitzed us on 4th and goal. That is too easy for Allen. -

Allen came to play. He thrives in adversity. -

I love the aggressive pass on the very first play. Set the tone now. Let Tua know if he wants to win this game this is what he needs to keep up with. -
9/25/22 Gameday Bills at Dolphins Pregame Thread
HappyDays replied to Chandler#81's topic in The Stadium Wall
The Bills are not going 17-0. Every week is just one more opportunity to stack wins and we've already won 2 of the "hard on paper" games from our schedule. So if it's a matter of risking more serious injury to key players, or lowering the odds of a win by maybe 15%, I'll take the lower odds every time. The worst case scenario is we lose one game, much better than the worst case scenario of losing a key player for several weeks. -

Morse being out after finishing the game last week makes me think the Bills are being extra cautious this week. I think Morse and Poyer, maybe even Oliver, would play if this was a playoff game. After losing Hyde for the season they don't want any other major injuries. For the record I'm fine with the strategy. Get all the bumps and bruises healed up now so those players are fully healthy for the stretch run. -
Okay you've said the same thing 50 times now. If you think this sinks the Bills season you're welcome to do anything else with your time.

I don't get it. The team is so good that our starters haven't needed to play a lot of snaps relative to the rest of the league and still we are down half of our starting defense and possibly our #2 WR. It can't get any unluckier than that.

Micah to IR (out for the year per his agent)

Certainly doesn't sound like this injury is going to end his career. -

You must be so proud. -
Jaquan Johnson will get his shot first. If that fails, once White comes back maybe they try Benford at safety. We have a deep and versatile secondary. More likely than not the solution is already on the roster.

Sounds like good news as far as him returning in 2023. -

I was thinking this too but his athletic profile to me seems more like a Poyer replacement than a Hyde replacement. Either way we have the best secondary coaching in the league. They'll figure it out.
