How is the Chiefs young secondary managing to defend Philly's highly talented group of pass catchers? Coaching.

I wasn't talking about who they give the award to, I was talking about who is actually responsible for most of their offense's success. I still say Allen. The Chiefs have been moving the ball like this all year, great pass protection and simple pass and catch. Mahomes is obviously elite so when they need him to make magic happen he can do it. But he has it a lot easier than Allen does on a play to play basis.

We are nowhere near the Eagles in talent evaluation and nowhere near the Chiefs in coaching. Depressing but true.

And see this is what I was saying in the MVP thread. Say what you about Mahomes' weapons, his pass protection and play calling is in a different league. That whole drive he didn't make any magic happen. Just stood back calmly and threw to the most wide open receivers you'll ever see. With Allen it's oh no better dodge that free rusher and then throw a 12 yard pass while sprinting to the right, and do this 10 times a game just to keep drives going.

Both QBs constantly have totally clean pockets. I forgot this is what football could look like.

Just take the delay of game. A timeout in a close game in the Super Bowl is a lot more valuable than 5 yards. Coaches do this all the time.

Good thing they used that timeout to make sure they're 5 yards closer to a FG.

That's a stupid timeout on 3rd and 11. Better convert this or what was the point?

I mean they can do whatever they want on 3rd and short. It doesn't matter. They will sneak it for a free 4th down conversion 100% of the time.

Wow that is two games in a row that an officiating mistake gifts KC a critical do-over on 3rd down. Weird how this always happens to them and only them.

Hurts is having himself quite a game. Only one mistake. Some great throws that are more than just schemed open throws. I'll give him some credit.

If they need 2 yards or less it is an automatic 1st down running the ball. It makes it so easy to call an offense when you have that built in cheat code.

A great OL means the entire playbook is open.

We spent a 2nd, two 3rds, and a 5th to try and get what KC got in the 7th.

Cook was supposed to be a pass catching specialist. We targeted him an average of 2 times per game. Why? Couldn't tell you.

I think Howie Roseman is probably happy where he is.

The Chiefs defense hasn't actually stopped the Eagles once. They got lucky the center moved his head and then Hurts inexplicably dropped the ball. And yikes Mahomes doesn't exactly look right running to the locker room.

This offense is smooth as butter. Howie Roseman deserves every award.

It's unreal how automatic those short yardage plays are for the Eagles. The defense might as well just save their energy for the next play.

I see a lot of times we try like two runs that go nowhere so we completely abandon the run for the rest of the game. The Eagles runs don't always pick up a lot of yards but they stick with it.
