The whole national media is slobbering over the Jags performance, saying their fans should feel confident with Lawrence and Pederson as the future. Maybe I watched a different game because I wasn't particularly impressed with either of them. Looks like the same old Jags to me.
-
Case in point, could Keenum step in to our offense and lead a 99 yard TD drive?
-
"Doug Pederson is a great coach."
-
Yeah well I want to beat them when we're at full strength. But that's not how it works in the NFL. I'll take whatever advantage we can get after the crap we've been through this year.
-
They had a DE covering him on several plays. That is coaching, not personnel.
-
Doesn't matter. He is not going to be the typical mobile version of himself one week after a high ankle sprain. He'll play but those magical escape plays won't be there. This somewhat offsets Von Miller not being on the field.
-
We rank 1st in DVOA against TEs. Jacksonville ranks 32nd. I trust us to at least restrain him a little. 14 catches given up is inexcusable.
-
They had several snaps with a DE covering Kelce, seriously. There is a way to defend him. That isn't it.
-
Every play I mentioned in that post was a product of the Jags failing, not the Chiefs making plays. Obviously the Chiefs are a great team. They have also gotten lucky a bunch this year. But hey maybe it's finally our turn, if we get hobbled Mahomes I consider that even for the loss of Miller and Hyde.
-
You give up 14 catches to the only player that everyone knows you have to defend in a game where 3/4 was commanded by a backup QB or the starter with one leg, you're not a great coach.
-
Well if it really was a high ankle sprain we won't be getting the usual Mahomes next week if we make it there. His mobility won't be the same. If we can't take advantage of that we don't deserve a Super Bowl this year.
-
As usual the Chiefs didn't really win this game. Their opponent lost it. Dropped pick, 99 yard TD drive given up to Chad Henne, no attempt to defend Kelce, a dropped deep pass by Kirk, that uncontested fumble. That's how most of the Chiefs close wins went this year, I've watched almost all of them.

99 yard TD drive given up to Chad Henne. Kelce with 14 catches. I was wrong about Doug Pederson. He'll never get this team to the top.
-
Kelce has 14 catches in this game. Jags media should spend the entire post game press conference asking questions about that stat line.
-
It's one thing if Kelce just straight up beats you, but I don't understand what Jacksonville's game plan is against him. They are pretending that he isn't on the field. So bizarre.
-
Alright Jags let's throw three straight screen passes and hopefully pick up exactly 10 yards total. Do that all the way into the endzone and you got this.
-
If the refs are going to be inconsistent with RTP, Jags might as well go as hard as possible on every hit they get on Mahomes. Why not? If the refs don't want to control the game, don't control your play.
-
Two drops in this game creates at least a 14 point swing. Let's see if the Jags can figure out to how slow down Chad Henne in the 2nd half.
-
Lol at Collinsworth calling that an overthrow. KC's 7th round rookie WR made a tougher catch than that on an earlier drive.
-
Again, the Chiefs don't always do anything special. Their opponents just puke all over themselves.
-
Chiefs get the ball first in the 2nd half. They missed their opportunity to take advantage of Mahomes's injury. A 99 yard TD drive given up to Chad Henne is the most embarrassing thing I've ever seen in a playoff game.
-
Oh well the Chiefs are 100% going to win this game but assuming we face them next week we are not going to get Mahomes at his best.
-
This drive started at the 1 and had an easy interception opportunity. This is why bad teams stay bad no matter what.

Kelce makes any QB look great
