If you read the comments from Colts fans under this tweet, they feel that we fleeced them and they are sad to see him go. This is a great sign.

Ha we actually traded Moss and a 5th. Amazing.

Yep this is the trade that makes the most sense. His speed makes him a real weapon out of the backfield. Sign OBJ and we're off to the races.

Trade Deadline (Nov 1) Bills Rumors / Speculation

This is definitely the move that makes the most sense. If we don't sign him and don't make a trade in the next few minutes I'll wonder why Beane sat on his hands. -

So the Bears traded Roquan Smith for Chase Claypool. Not ideal.

Indy fans love Hines, that I know. If you look in the comments on any Tweet about him potentially being traded it's all Indy fans hoping he gets traded to a contender so he can win a ring and being mad at the coaches there for not using him properly. He has excellent speed and can be used as a weapon in the passing game. -

Is There So Little Love for Tremaine Edmunds?
HappyDays replied to Shaw66's topic in The Stadium Wall
Last night is not a good game to judge Edmunds on. We drafted him to cover a wide range in the middle of the field, not thump RBs that make it to the second level. In a perfect world you'd like a MLB that can do both, but if you're only going to get one take the pass coverage every time. Edmunds has fulfilled that role well this year. I'm not going to get on his case in a game where we happily conceded 5 YPC because we knew every run was increasing our win probability, and I say that as someone that has been critical of him over the past couple years. -
I would say if he doesn't make a trade OR sign OBJ then Beane is not trying hard enough to push us over the top. But I'm like 90% confident we will end up signing OBJ so I'm not going to live and die on the trade deadline tomorrow... But I do agree one more move is needed to stay ahead of the league.

Trade Deadline (Nov 1) Bills Rumors / Speculation

I'm leaning this way too now, but I'm hesitant about it because it all hinges on Cook's performance last night and I'm not 100% sold that he is reliable yet. On one hand I want to trust that Cook will become the plus factor we drafted him to be, on the other I want to be safe and get a reliable veteran in the room to fill that role. Man I think I just talked myself back into wanting us to trade for one of them... Let Cook develop from the bench and hand the keys to someone that's been there before. I'm actually more intrigued by Hines than Hunt now that I know he's available. -

In a way I'm a little frustrated by Cook's solid performance last night because it muddies the waters on how our RB stable is looking. Trading for a player like Hines or Hunt would make a ton of sense if we think Cook will mostly be a non-factor for the rest of the season. But was his performance last night for real? If so, no need to make any moves at RB. It's an interesting dilemma. -
This is weird to say, but part of the problem is that he only makes big plays. He's either catching 25+ yards bombs for TDs, or nothing. I've said this before, I think he would be a perfect #3 WR in our offense. He gives DBs a lot of trouble when he's running straight at them and he finds an extra gear downfield. But I want someone that gives us a little bit of everything to be our #2 WR. It's hard being a full time outside WR without the ability to, for example, run slant routes consistently. And Davis is inexplicably weaker at the catch point the closer to the LOS he gets. There's nothing wrong with his skill set, he fulfills that vertical role very well. The problem is we're asking him to fulfill a bigger role than his skill set would imply. Just my two cents.

I think it's the cold weather. I was at the game last night, it wasn't freezing but it got chilly. Davis had issues catching the ball last year in a cold windy game against the Jets. If he's wide open he'll catch it, but any hint of contact in the cold and he plays soft. Not a good trait for a Buffalo receiver...

We need to start using Cook a lot more and just let Cook Cook!!!

I think this comment from McDermott is telling: Sounds like they were not happy with his practice habits earlier in the season. If you don't bring your A game to every single practice under this coaching staff, you will not get opportunities to play. Hopefully he's learned what it takes to succeed at the professional level and he can start being a major factor for the offense. -
I'm fine with him running as much as he wants to. Now obviously in games like yesterday's I want him to slide and not fight for extra yards. But him running is not inherently dangerous. On the pick I think he genuinely just missed Rasul Douglas sitting in that area. It was a really good and athletic play by him.
-
I think our coaches were elated that Green Bay kept running the ball in the 2nd half. It became clear that they were going to run out of time using that strategy so we kept our defensive scheme as is and let them have those yards. When you build up a 3 score lead against a team that is down most of its WRs you can concede the run.
-
I said it earlier in the year too, Allen and the offense start playing too loose at times once they realize they are much better than their opponent. The dirt pass that turned into a pick I'll chalk up to a weird fluke, but the one he threw back across his body was just unnecessary at that moment in the game. Allen is the man and he know he's the man but he has to pick his spots. He knows better than that. I also feel like there are some games where you can tell the coaching staff has told him no more running. Did he run the ball once after halftime yesterday? When Allen is neutered like that the offense looks worse. I think if we had been playing the Chiefs he would have just run on that 3rd down where he threw his first interception. They should let him play his game.

He definitely looked like the player we drafted him to be. I'm good on trading for a RB, just get Cook involved more. Sign OBJ as soon as he's available and we are all set on offense.
