  1. As I said earlier I have no reason to think Erik Turner is making things up. At this point we just have to wait and see how severe it is. I'm thinking the Bills put something out to Rappaport to quell some of the rumors floating around... but they don't really know anything for sure yet.
  2. I'm guessing this is what the Cover1 people were hearing which prompted the rumors.
  3. Whelp if the Cover1 people turned out to be posting click bait garbage I will never post them on this site again.
  4. If I suddenly heard the news that Allen is going to miss a few weeks I would be sick to my stomach too. But now in the context of him otherwise needing to get season-ending UCL surgery I will breathe a sigh of relief if that's the news. Seems like a few reporters/analysts around the Bills have gotten word that he has some kind of UCL sprain. Now it's just a matter of waiting to see how severe and how long he'll be out. If he doesn't get surgery and rehabs it he'll be back in a few weeks albeit with a lot of pain in that area. Knowing how competitive Allen is I am certain he would take that route over season-ending surgery given the choice.
  5. Erik Turner just posted in the slack channel "Lots of info being floated around, but unable to confirm anything." I'm off the ledge a bit. I'm still expecting Allen to miss time though, too much smoke around it.
  6. Tim Graham just retweeted this article: At the very least I am preparing for Allen to miss the Vikings game. I am just crossing my fingers the season isn't lost. Screw the #1 seed. Just give us Allen playing in December and deep into January. I can stomach that.
  7. Erik Turner has personal relationships with many of the players. It's how they end up getting so many players to do film breakdowns on their channel.
  8. Trust me, they do. There are times this year when I have known the status of injured players before it was officially announced. I don't usually post it here because I don't like posting injury speculation. I'm just doing it this time because it's obviously more important than usual.
  9. So they are frustrating me with how cryptic they're being about it. They keep saying they won't say what they're hinting at until it's been confirmed. Maybe they just found out he'll miss a few weeks. Based on how ominous they're being I would accept that outcome.
  10. My concern with these injuries is always Tommy John surgery. My understanding is that it takes possibly 18 months to recover. I don't want to put my mind there yet but I can't help but worry. If Allen is out for let's say 4-6 weeks that ends any conversation of the #1 seed but at least we could probably sneak into the playoffs and see what happens from there. Based on some of the cryptic things being put out there by people I follow and trust I would honestly take that outcome at this point if I could.
  11. It's things I'm seeing in their slack channel that I get access to as part of my membership with then. And what Nate Geary just posted about the elbow. I'm just hoping at this point that he's only out for a couple games and not the whole year.
  12. Not sure what part of that tweet thread you're seeing, but it's Nate Geary confirming an elbow injury for Allen.
  13. Aaron and Greg and Erik from Cover 1 have all posted hints that there is bad news coming and that they are "sick to their stomach." They said they will say it when it's officially confirmed but they do not throw random rumors out there. I have a really bad feeling right now.
  14. I don't like saying this but based on some of the things people from Cover 1 are posting on Twitter and their slack channel I am prepared for really bad news...
  15. Aw man this is a really bad one to lose, especially with Dalvin Cook and Nick Chubb coming up. Once again it will be up to the offense to figure it out and support the defense while they work through injuries.
  16. If they make OL a heavy focus this offseason, obviously I'm fine with that. But we have examples like the Chiefs where they spent heavily on the OL and still aren't satisfied. And like every team we will have a bunch of other needs this offseason - possibly safety, WR, RB, LB. It's not as simple as pouring most of our available resources into the OL. If we do that we'll leave vulnerabilities elsewhere. I'd rather focus on adding more weapons and running a passable scheme around the players we have.
  17. I don't think any fanbase in the league is happy with their OL right now. Chiefs fans are saying their highly paid OL is the main reason they almost lost to the Titans last night, they've been complaining about it all year. It is just something most offenses have to gameplan around. I think we just need to get back to what we are good at - pin and pull run game, Allen under center, play action, quick passes on routes that he likes to throw with a few deep shots thrown in at timely moments. And it would help if we had some weapons. The OL wasn't responsible for Davis dropping a perfect throw on 4th and 21. They were responsible for one negative play on the final drive (excluding the awful holding call on Dawkins).
  18. You have to understand we went all in on a defense that can stop the pass. We left ourselves vulnerable to run heavy offenses as an intentional choice because we decided to just become really good at stopping the thing that matters more in the modern NFL. But that concept only works when our offense holds up their end of the bargain. When a team down three scores runs the ball at will against you like the Packers did, you laugh all the way down to 00:00. When the Jets do it in a tight game it becomes a problem. This team is built to get a big lead from the offense and then let the defense tee off on what it does well. The defensive problems today and even last week to an extent stem from the offense letting our opponent stay in the game. We're capable of scoring at will when everything is clicking. The offense is what needs to change right now, not the entire defensive philosophy.
  19. Days like this will make the eventual Super Bowl win that much sweeter.
  20. Good work pulling up his stat sheet. Next time I recommend also watching the game.
  21. This is an unpopular opinion but I agree. The Pats didn't stand in our way, our own executives did. The Chiefs are a direct obstacle to our best Super Bowl chance in decades. Yeah it frustrates me watching them squeak out wins in ridiculous flukey ways.
  22. I'm trying to think how I'd feel as a Bills fan if we barely snuck out a win against an opponent featuring, without exaggeration, the worst passing attack I've ever seen, with Allen missing several throws and the OL giving up a bunch of pressures. Yeah I'd be happy with the win but probably wouldn't feel too satisfied about it.
  23. Willis was not supposed to play this year. And he has arguably the worst set of receiving weapons in the NFL. Just not a fair situation for him this week.
