I think McDermott is playing mind games with the Vikings right now.

I know Florida allows for early counting of mail-in votes without the results being made public. If other states want to follow suit that is one possible solution. But a lot of times the states that seemingly have all the votes counted earlier are actually just announcing the results before all the votes are counted because the result becomes obvious. For example Fetterman is still expanding his lead as we speak with votes being counted from Philadelphia, the media just doesn't pay attention to those votes because they no longer matter. In states like Arizona and Nevada where the result always tends to be closely contested, it's going to take time to properly count everything. I would love to know why the subtweeter there is accusing an election analyst of "collusion." Colluding to do what?

It's helpful to remember that the race doesn't actually break anyone's way after election day. The race is already decided as of midnight. It's just a matter of counting the votes. Mail-in votes get counted last and skew Democrat. This is why tightly contested races always seem to break for Democrats at the end. A lot of political analysts that know what they're talking about knew yesterday that Adam Laxalt was in trouble despite holding a lead because of the remaining number of mail-in ballots and how those ballots had skewed. Just like a lot of analysts knew yesterday Lauren Boebert was likely to squeak out a win because of which areas still had votes to be counted. These results are predictable, they aren't random. Personally I don't think there's any way to "fix" the problem of slow vote counting. Not unless we move to a system where everyone can easily submit their vote online and then have a computer spit back the results the next day. But something tells me most people in the GOP would not support this, so we're stuck with what we have.

Even if Allen does play I still want them to design the offensive game plan as if Keenum is playing. Find the couple of run plays that we can execute at a high level and keep calling them. Get some screens going to Hines and Cook. Quick underneath passes to move the ball. Absolutely zero designed QB runs. If we can get that kind of offense going while still keeping teams on their toes with the threat of Allen's deep passes, we will be the scariest team in the playoffs.

It was challengeable but he was told not to challenge it. Which tells me he would have if he had the choice.

Ian mentions a nerve issue Allen is having that is affecting his ability to grip the ball.

McDermott said in his presser on Monday that the sideline official told him not to bother challenging it. There was no chance of them overturning the call on the field.

We will likely be without Rousseau and Poyer when we have to face Dalvin Cook and Nick Chubb over our next two games. Without Allen leading the offense that's a tough ask. It's gonna be a bumpy November... I am mentally prepared for it. Just get to the playoffs healthy and anything can happen from there.

Why would watching a game live from the sidelines help him more than watching all-22 game footage of his own play? Have people on this board never seen a QB go through a slump and play their way out of it? It happened to Allen himself last year a couple of times. 20 years we waited for a franchise QB, one bad game and a bunch of fans are coming up with panicky solutions.

This is one case where I wouldn't necessarily take McDermott's word for it. There is no reason for him to say anything else about Allen's status.

It isn't a good thing, at all, but we can draw positives from it if the offense adapts. No this is ridiculous. Every QB goes through bad stretches of play. You fix it by refocusing in between games and then playing. Allen is probably beating himself up over some of the easy completions he missed seeing against the Jets, he'll get his mindset right for the next game. He has never once been unable to fix a problem.

No it isn't. They've tried and tried and tried again and it never comes to fruition. The entire argument of voter fraud happening frequently enough to make a difference is just people like you swearing that it must be happening. That's not a reason to change fundamental democratic processes.

I agree that occasionally a small piece of a meteor falls out of the sky and kills a person. I do not agree that we should waste a lot of time and resources on a meteor defense system, or change the way that we walk outside.

It is inherently minimized because of the risk/reward to the individual that does it. The reward is you cast a single extra vote that will make zero difference to the outcome of the election. The risk is you go to prison, pay a hefty fine, and have your name smeared for life. Still waiting on a single point of real evidence in favor of this supposed widespread fraud. Luckily the GOP on the whole has moved away from this ridiculous talking point. Many of the 2020 election skeptics/deniers who lost their election this week have already conceded the race. This is a good sign that they recognize it is a pointless battle and it was just a circus the whole time.

This is a classic motte and bailey. You originally said "contributing members of society" should be allowed to vote. Now you're changing it to mail in voting. I don't think mail in voting is constitutionally protected, but I think making people jump through too many hoops is in fact unconstitutional. More to the point there isn't any reason not to have mail in voting. There has never been evidence found of widespread fraud through the mail. Usually when it's found it's some dumb*** trying to prove a point about voter fraud which they end up specifically disproving.

The standard you propose here is quite literally unconstitutional.

How about they cut Josh Allen and use his roster spot to sign OBJ?

Over the last 3 games in Arrowhead we're 2-1, and the loss was because of one of the worst coaching blunders of all time. Of course I'd prefer to get Mahomes in Buffalo in January but people are acting like if we're not the #1 seed we're doomed. Everyone knows the team is a lot better than it's shown these last couple weeks. We need to get everyone healthy as we head into the playoffs. If you told me right now we could sit Allen for 2 games to guarantee he is fully healthy for the rest of the season but also guarantee us the #5 seed at best, I would take that over starting Allen if I knew the risk of re-injury or prolonging the injury was reasonably high.

When you say we can't afford to, you're talking about the #1 seed right? Not the playoffs? We are going to make the playoffs even if Allen misses a game or two. Why risk the rest of Allen's season just to maximize our odds of getting the #1 seed? The #1 seed is the dream, but it isn't the goal.

There is a risk. If he puts stress on the UCL before it heals properly the injury could linger. Unfortunately the best course of action may be to put him on the shelf for a couple weeks. Even if that costs the #1 seed the most important thing is making it to the playoffs with everyone healthy, especially Josh. Time for this offense to figure out its run and screen game while Superman is sidelined. By the time he comes back maybe we'll have a more productive offense waiting for him.
