    I guess you force them to get 2 TDs instead of a TD plus a FG. With 0 timeouts and 2 minutes to go that is pretty much the game.

    I mean yeah. It doesn't make me happy to feel that way but has this defense really made you feel otherwise?

    Are we going to escape two wins in a row against poor opponents because of that same penalty. Unbelievable. And damn that looks awful for Cam Johnston.

    Imagine having a defense you felt confident making a stop on this upcoming drive. Instead I feel pretty confident the offense will need to put one more drive together to close this out. Prove me wrong Babich

    Yeah I'm not confident that is enough. My refrain in the offseason was try to build a 40 PPG offense. I haven't seen anything this season that has made me change my mind on that.

    I don't know if Tre made the stop or if Kamara just slipped. Either way I'll take us escaping with a win. But this coaching staff needs to do some soul searching. In every phase there were major mistakes made that almost gave the game away.

    Imagine if DK Metcalf was on the team instead of TJ Sanders. We could have a 35 PPG offense. Too late now unfortunately. And if Beane makes a deadline trade you know it will be on defense. They just don't get that all the investments in the world won't matter under this coaching staff.

    On that last drive our 2nd, 3rd, and 4th down plays Cook and Allen both didn't touch the ball. Inexcusable from Brady there.

    We have no downfield passing offense. Nobody is separating

    Saints are 5 for 11 on 3rd downs which is bad enough but they'd be 7 for 11 if not for an Olave drop and a poor throw from Rattler. It is impossible to exaggerate how massive this problem is.

    This offense needs to score 35 points a game to make up for how bad this defense is. Brady screwed up the game script with one awful series.

    There are several teams every year starting backups at QB. Rattler is one of them. There's no excuse for this performance.

    Sure. So is the defensive coaching.

    We have a defensive head coach and just spent the entire offseason investing in that side of the ball, and the Saints are starting a backup QB. You should expect better than this. We're trying to win a championship.

    Well at least we parlayed the TO into a stop... but my god this has been terrible coaching from McDermott and Babich today.
