  1. The difference is last year he scored 0.6 TDs per game, this year he has scored 0.31 TDs per game. So last year he basically doubled this year's scoring output. One positive is his drop percentage is only 3.4% this year, down from 5.6% last year, and that's coming off a game with two drops. I think Knox is our best red zone weapon not named Josh Allen so there is a lot of meat left on the bone there. For some reason we don't make it a point to get the ball in his hands in the red zone consistently. It was nice to see all 4 of our passing TDs go to TEs and RBs on Saturday. We haven't utilized those positions to their fullest potential this season. Maybe Dorsey has finally figured that out.
  2. Love all the fans trying to claim that soft snowballs are dangerous. These guys are on the field experiencing mini car crashes 20 times a game 17+ weeks a year. A snowball is going to be the thing that ends their season? The turf they play on is more dangerous than that. I guess I'm in the minority but I thought it was all in good fun. If the NFL disagrees I suppose they can flip ours and Miami's home games next year to coincide with the home team's respective weather conditions... But I guarantee they'll be coming to us next December, like they do every year. The NFL loves this stuff. No chance they were going to call a 15 yard penalty either. As soon as they announced that, it took all of two seconds to realize the immediately obvious logical flaw in that scenario.
  3. I thought Elam made some great plays on the ball against the Dolphins and almost came down with an interception. To me he has been the better player all year, and while I trust this coaching staff with their DB evaluations I can't see why they have put him behind Dane Jackson on the depth chart for most of the season. It's not like Jackson is a high pedigree player, he's a 7th round pick who couldn't even beat out Levi Wallace for a starting spot. Do we beat the Chiefs if Elam doesn't have that interception in the endzone on their first offensive drive? I don't know if the coaches have just intentionally been making it hard on him to make him feel like he has to earn a role, but after his performance against the Dolphins I think it's time to make the permanent switch and move forward with a consistent secondary.
  4. Okay maybe not a broken collarbone. Sounds like if anything he would miss a game or two in the regular season and then be back for the playoffs. If any team can manage this it's the Eagles.
  5. Not officially confirmed yet but word is getting out. EDIT:
  6. It's stupid to penalize Allen and Mahomes for turnovers. The same style of play that allows them to carry undertalented offenses with below average running games also causes them to turn the ball over more than average. You can't have one without the other. Hurts has the best running game in the league and two #1 WRs and arguably the best OL in the league. He doesn't have to take chances. But I get it, the MVP voters don't think that hard about it.
  7. The Most Valuable Player award should be renamed the QB of the Best Team in the NFL award. That's who it goes to every year. By the meaning of the award no chance Hurts should win. There's a much better case to be made for Allen, Mahomes, Burrow, even Lamar Jackson, Tyreek Hill, and AJ Brown to name a few others. But Hurts wins it by default unless he stumbles.
  8. If they can kiss and makeup with Beasley, they can easily do it with Watkins. Also John Brown only has one more free call up. We could use one more roster worthy WR to elevate for the stretch run.
  9. I would add him to the PS if he clears waivers. Nothing to lose and we could use more depth outside.
  10. The 49ers didn't stop the Dolphins. Tua just played an awful game. He missed a ton of wide open WRs including a couple that would have gone for TDs. Tua has played most of the year like he did on Saturday, a limited style of QB play but good enough to get the ball into the hands of one of his elite weapons in space. The Shanahan scheme IMO is the best in football, very hard for even elite defenses to stop when the right personnel is in the system. My biggest disappointment was not our scheme, it was missed tackles and underwhelming pass rush. Hamlin is a disaster and our DL without Von Miller doesn't have a ton of juice. I think Oliver might still be feeling the effects of his pec injury too, he was invisible all night. Only so much the coaches can do. On defense more than ever now it's about the players more than the coaches. For offense a little more responsibility falls on the coaching IMO.
  11. I'm surprised how much discussion this play has warranted. I can lay out exactly what happens if Singletary runs into the endzone there. The Dolphins get the ball back with 34 seconds left and 1 timeout. On 1st down we drop everyone way back into soft coverage and Tua delivers the ball to one of his speedy weapons who is tackled close to the 50. Dolphins take their last timeout with maybe 27 seconds remaining. They now have a few chances to let Waddle or Hill get past the secondary or take a quick slant to the house. Damar Hamlin is standing deep in the secondary itching to take the worst angle you've ever seen in a football game. I would not be comfortable AT ALL in that scenario. It's that or trust your reliable FG team to kick one that's even closer than an XP as time expires. No brainer decision against this Dolphins team.
  12. Josh McDaniels is terrible. Just had 2 pass catchers in the exact same spot on the field. Carr was about to hit Adams for a big 3rd and 10 conversion but Waller thought he was the target so it went off his fingertips. Never hire former Patriots coaches.
  13. I thought they had left an open lane for him to run through intentionally, I could be wrong though. He went down on his own.
  14. Maybe this has already been mentioned, but the Dolphins tried to let us score. That proves we made the right decision. The opposing coaching staff wanted the ball back, we didn't let them have it.
  15. A sampling of players that the Chiefs have avoided playing against this year: Tannehill Stafford/Kupp Dameon Pierce Russell Wilson after his concussion You could make the case that the Chiefs lose at least 2 of these games if those players are in. Just stupid.
  16. I hate this ****ing team. Every bounce, every coin toss, every opponent injury report, it always goes their way.
  17. They can just run the clock out if they want, that helps the Bills just as much as a Chiefs loss.
  18. Just ridiculous how lucky KC gets. It's defined their whole dynasty. They won one Super Bowl because of a missed wide open deep TD pass.
  19. Why does Jeff Driskel keep coming into the game? I don't understand that at all.
  20. Well that's my point. Your season is over and you're hopelessly outmatched against the Chiefs. Why not use that play as an opportunity to try and get some confidence going? David doesn't beat Goliath just running and hiding. Stand up and take your best shot. Otherwise what's the point of showing up?
  21. They punted from the 50 and then give up this drive. I'm not surprised but I am angry.
  22. Goddammit, the Texans are really going to give me hope today aren't they. I hate this stupid sport and this stupid league.
