  1. 4 straight losses. Merry Christmas everybody!
  2. That's why you kick the FG. Put all the pressure on Tua to have to drive for a TD. Every fan has gotten so 4th down happy. Play the game as it comes to you.
  3. This has been the issue with Watson since training camp. All the talent in the world doesn't matter if you can't sustain NFL hits. Coming from a small school with that slight frame, it is a legitimate concern.
  4. What I should have said is that you wouldn't know it watching Rodgers play. He looks completely checked out and unfocused, as he has all year.
  5. If the Packers win today they'll be a half game out of a wildcard spot. Every team they needed to lose yesterday lost. So they are fighting for their playoff lives right now, not that you would know it watching the game.
  6. His own blocker tells him to kneel it in the endzone, instead he hesitates for a tick and then runs it out from 5 yards deep. My god the Packers are bad at every level.
  7. I've never seen a strip sack fumble like that where not one defender even tried to jump on the ball. #91 looking dazed and confused as the ball pops out.
  8. Maybe I was too hard on the OL for some of their penalties yesterday. This officiating crew is awful.
  9. That's because an "A game" is a myth. When fans talk about it they're seemingly talking about a near perfect game with zero mistakes from players and coaches. That is an unrealistic standard. You don't win by playing perfect, you win by managing game situations appropriately, making more plays than your opponent, and minimizing mistakes.
  10. The first pick wasn't a bad decision so much as it was a lazy read. He didn't intentionally throw into double coverage. He saw CB Kyler Gordon at the snap at the LOS and pre-determined that McKenzie would be open. Nothing wrong with making that pre-snap read. The issue is post-snap he never bothered checking the backside for an ancillary defender before throwing the ball and by that point Gordon had gotten back into the throwing window. At the snap he practically sprinted back to the end zone, probably because of something they saw on tape. It was an excellent disguised coverage and an excellent display of athleticism from Gordon. But it's on Allen to do a quick check in that area before throwing the ball. My overall take on Allen yesterday, from this play and others, is that he was not anywhere close to 100% locked in like he normally is. He was being lazy with his mechanics and his reads. There was that one play where he tried to throw the ball back across his body all the way to the other side of the field, a total IDGAF play. For Allen his level of play always coincides with his focus. That's why he goes into god mode for primetime games and in the playoffs. So as annoyed with his play yesterday as I am I'm not remotely concerned about it for the remainder of the season. We have three years of elite football to point to. We know who Josh Allen is.
  11. The worst part is he hasn't even really done this lately. The last tough play he made was in week 5 against the Steelers. Since then every play he's made has been an easy catch delivered right into his hands without a defender contesting him. His rookie year he was making amazing sideline catches in critical moments in a playoff game. Yesterday he flubbed his one opportunity to make a difficult sideline catch. In a year when we needed him to step up in a bigger role he has instead regressed. It's the biggest disappointment of the season IMO.
  12. We have way too many of our own players to pay to spend money on the #2 RB in free agency after Saquon Barkley.
  13. Yes but a lot of his biggest rushes are when the DL isn't disciplined which allows him to scramble for a bunch of yards. He's been a magician at somehow escaping sacks and sprinting down the field for chunk yardage. He had 2 consecutive games of 170+ rushing yards. Like I came into this game expecting him to rip off a couple big runs and knew the defense would have to live with it. Instead we gave him nothing. It's really impressive.
  14. Because he couldn't... We had rushers slowly closing in and mirroring his pocket movements on every play where he didn't immediately get the ball out of his hands. We didn't lose contain once. If we did, I promise the guy that has been running all over the competition since peewee would have seen the opportunity and taken it. It's amazing that you're doubling down on this take. Fields didn't wake up today deciding to not scramble for the first time in his life. We didn't give him the option.
  15. You realize most of Fields runs are on scrambles, right? It's not the OC's decision. The reason he didn't scramble today is that our front 4 plus Milano as the spy executed contain style rushes to perfection. And that ties back to McDermott's and Frazier's coaching of that style, proven by the fact that they wrote the book on how to stop Lamar Jackson in his 2019 MVP season. I mean it was really perfect the way they gave Fields zero rushing lanes inside or outside. The Bears OL is bad so that helps. But it starts with coaching and discipline.
  16. The Eagles and 49ers offenses are stacked. Offenses led by backup QBs putting up video game numbers.
  17. This is reason enough to give me pause about the OL's entire performance today. The Bears probably have the worst DL we've seen this year. Blocking is still a concern heading into the playoffs but not a fatal one.
  18. Hmm not sure I'm buying that the wind took such a short throw, but Allen always admits when he screws up so that's an interesting perspective.
  19. His accuracy also was just off today especially on short throws. If he's still getting numbing shots in his elbow before games, that plus the negative temperature probably really affected him. He can drive the ball as well as ever. But when he has to lollipop the ball there is a noticeable difference in accuracy from the first half of the season.
  20. Dominant front 7 performance today. The greatest escape artist in the NFL didn't break off a single big run.
  21. Wow Malik Willis is terrible. He doesn't have a single NFL throw in his arsenal. The Titans are going to fall out of the playoffs.
  22. The entire defensive line Edmunds Milano Singletary Cook
  23. I just checked the score of this one. Disappointing that Seattle only scored 10 points against a sketchy Chiefs defense. Their season has fallen off a cliff.
  24. This game reminded me how difficult our schedule has been this year. We haven't had any layups like this since week two. Other contenders have had several layups. The talent discrepancy in this one was so great that we sleepwalked our way to a three score blowout.
