  1. Oh well. None of those teams control their own destiny regardless so they can't complain. A young man's heart stopped on the football field. There is no perfect 100% fair solution. Logistically there is one reasonable situation and not a single player or coach or fan would be callous enough to reject it.
  2. If we just basically forfeit the Bengals and Pats game we go into the playoffs rested and with hopefully good news on Hamlin putting the players at ease. We then face the #6 seed (likely Ravens) at home, then probably the Bengals and KC in their stadiums. I'd sign up for that right now. It's the best case scenario that doesn't force the players to play a game they're not ready for or screw up a bunch of other NFL scheduling.
  3. I'm begging you to leave the board and go troll another team. You had your fun. Please read the mood of the community and take it elsewhere.
  4. We need to leave behind this mindset that someone is going to be penalized in this scenario. The players and coaches don't feel that way. I know on here the #1 seed is considered life or death but it isn't. I just don't understand how anyone could even care about the #1 seed anymore. If it were about forfeiting the Super Bowl I would understand more. The NFL is going to go with the simplest solution which offers the least disruption to the season as a whole and gives the Bills and Bengals players enough time to process what they just experienced. The only solution that makes sense in that context is a cancelled game that counts as a tie or one less game on the record.
  5. I can't begin to care about this even a little bit. If Hamlin comes out of this with his health and we're playing on wildcard weekend I'm as happy as can be.
  6. People have been way to quick to criticize the league's handling of an unprecedented situation. In fact all of the NFL's preparedness and on-field protocols for a situation like this may have saved Hamlin's life tonight. I choose to focus on that, instead of how many minutes they waited to announce the game was postponed.
  7. One more thing on the charity. This was Damar Hamlin's last Instagram post from a week ago: Whether the specific daycare mentioned in the charity is still active or not, toy drives for children in need is clearly something that Hamlin actively supports. Anyone who donates in support of Damar Hamlin can be at peace with that. It was a small way of doing something with this balled up frustration I've been carrying since it happened.
  8. I trust in the good of people in cases like this. Go Fund Me is as legit it gets. I believe without any doubt that all of the money will be used appropriately. I never would have considered otherwise. If someone would prefer to wait to donate that's fine, but capturing people's generosity at a unique tragic moment like this can not in any way be construed negatively.
  9. It never crossed my mind that anything else would happen. Go Fund Me isn't a fly by night company. They're run by good people. They publicly endorsed the charity on their own social media pages. The money will get used in a way that is helpful for the spirit of the organization. Do people really think the money will just be unceremoniously dumped on a random toy drive organization in Pennsylvania?
  10. I mean the Tyreek Hill trade was a resounding success for the Dolphins, no argument otherwise. He singlehandedly made that offense one of the best in the league and almost dragged them to the playoffs. If you take QB out of the equation there's an easy case for Tyreek Hill to be the NFL MVP. He was as impactful or more impactful for them as the Stefon Diggs trade was for us. Ditto for AJ Brown to the Eagles. Drafting and signing your own has to be the fundamental way you build your championship team, but trading for a star offensive weapon to push you over the top is a proven strategy.
  11. Anderson is an interesting one.
  12. I highly doubt checkdowns are the difference in YAC leaders. Most checkdowns get tackled pretty quickly. Some teams run a lot of screens, some teams have YAC specialist players, some teams have both. We have neither. That's the difference. We don't have anyone like Ja'Marr Chase or Deebo Samuel who can catch a 5 yard slant and run 40 yards after the catch. The only way we'll be able to improve our YAC is if we start funneling more pass plays to Cook. Up until now he hasn't had the full trust of the coaching staff to make him a focal point of the offense. Maybe that's changed and we can start dialing up specific plays to get the ball in his hands in space.
  13. I don't agree with this. Allen could check the ball down on literally every play and defenses would still hang everyone back to take away deep passes. No one is ever going to change their game plan against us. Defenses are begging us to run the ball and throw short passes. Ultimately we can't just run the entire offense that way, eventually you need to create explosive plays downfield to consistently score points. So it isn't as easy as people make it out to be for Allen to just take more frequent checkdowns earlier in the play. There's a checkdown available on every single play including the ones that turn into explosive passes. The one thing Allen needs to work on to cut down his interceptions is not locking onto his pre-snap read. Almost all of his interceptions this year have been him pre-determining the read and being a little too lazy after the snap to make sure a defender hasn't gotten into the window. I don't think it's a case of him trying to do too much, it's a focus issue. His focus doesn't seem to be as high against opponents that he deems unworthy.
  14. Every Steelers/Ravens game of the last 15 years has looked exactly like this and it never gets old.
  15. Denver is getting the ball back with plenty of time to get a TD. Mahomes just threw an off target pass to an open receiver on 3rd and 8. Why do the Chiefs do this literally every week? They play just poorly enough to get my hopes up.
  16. I'm sick of people pretending refs don't have a say in games.
  17. Broncos send an all out blitz against Mahomes and predictably the Chiefs score a TD off of it. Stupid teams remain stupid. The Chiefs also start the 2nd half with the ball so not feeling great about this one.
  18. Broncos country let's ride!! After a muffed punt by Kadarius Toney, Wilson runs it in for a TD.
  19. I mean this is just an awful interception.
