  1. Updates from Matt Parrino and Ryan Talbot:
  2. Yeah we have to start making some tough decisions. We should do what the Steelers do and draft a WR every year. Let the WR2 walk, collect a nice comp pick, plug in the new guy, rinse and repeat. Extending Davis now is a gamble a team with a better future cap situation could take. For us it's way too risky IMO.
  3. It's because Spector is the one unknown on the depth chart. I've seen Dodson in coverage, he isn't good enough. This is year five for him, I doubt the light is suddenly going to go on. Bernard looked completely overmatched to me in his limited reps last year. Nothing I've heard about him at camp this year eases that concern. I don't typically give up on players this early but I think they just blew that pick. It happens. So a small part of me hoped Spector would come out of nowhere and at least give us starting caliber play at the position. The reality is that MLB is going to be a weak point for us this year, no getting around that now. It's a little scary having no starting level talent for a key position but I suppose most teams have to deal with that somewhere on their roster.
  4. Not sure if I should read anything into this but Ford is listed behind Settle on the first official depth chart released by the Bills.
  5. Well, I just received some unfortunate (but not devastating) news from my usual source. Von Miller apparently has a grade 2 strain (tear) to his upper left leg (not the same leg as his ACL tear). This was described to me as a "compensation injury," i.e. he likely injured it because of overcompensating for the opposite leg of the ACL tear. I was told it will put him back "a little bit, not months." My source says this almost certainly rules out a week 1 return but week 6 is still potentially in play. Most likely scenario is he will be put on PUP to start the season and the treatment will just be general rest and rehab to the affected area.
  6. Again I will admit I don't know how fair it is of me to compare a WR with a TE. But to counter your point I will point out that true GOATs make their hay in the playoffs against the other contenders, and that's where Kelce makes the biggest difference compared to Diggs. Diggs' playoff stats since 2020: 75.3 YPG 5.3 receptions per game 61.7% catch percentage 0.29 TDs per game (this is honestly an awful stat) Kelce's playoff stats since 2020: 101.8 YPG 9 receptions per game 83.3% catch percentage 1.1 TDs per game The thing about Kelce that makes him a GOAT is that NOBODY shuts him down. Triple cover him and knock him on his ass and he still might score a TD on the play (this actually happened in a game last year). Kelce is comfortably a tier above Diggs IMO. Diggs is still elite in his own right though, no question on that.
  7. GOATs are in a tier of their own. It's like saying Tom Brady and Philip Rivers are in the same category as both being top tier QBs.
  8. Not really. Kelce is arguably the greatest of all time at his position and will be a first ballot HOF. Diggs is an elite WR1 but that's still a step below Kelce IMO. Although I recognize a 1:1 comparison of WR to TE may not be entirely fair.
  9. The Chiefs don't win either of their Super Bowls without Chris Jones.
  10. I would still take this deal right now if possible. I think it makes sense for Houston too. They don't want a young player backing up a rookie. Keenum is perfect in that role for them. With Keenum and Stroud in the room everyone in the building understands the hierarchy. Mills muddies the waters for them a bit. I saw enough from Mills last year to think he is good backup material. He wasn't the solution in Houston but he also wasn't the problem. If the goal is to get this roster 2-2 across 4 games I think Mills fits that criteria. Plus we would still have Mills under contract in 2024 so it gives us some consistency at the position. The more I think about it the more I really like the idea.
  11. I think the Bills plan is to use other teams' devaluing of special teams players against them. You invested less in special teams because of the new rule? Great, we are going to run out every kick no matter where it's fielded and dare your throwaway players to stop our guys bred specifically for this job.
  12. Leaving aside his points about Allen, does this nameless coach really believe that Mahomes is a traditional drop back passer? I don't understand that at all.
