  1. Hill is one of the best WRs I've ever seen but he sure is dumb at times.
  2. The problem is they are winning their division by default. So I don't know that a Chiefs loss here helps us at all. Not unless we only plan on losing like 1-2 games over the rest of the season, and I just can't see that happening.
  3. MVS is the 2nd best pass catcher the Chiefs have. Not good enough. Also it appears that Kelce has lost a step. He hasn't totally dropped off a cliff but he clearly isn't the same this year.
  4. I wish I shared your optimism, but the Dolphins have an easier remaining schedule than we do and they have shown they are not going to lose to any bad teams like we already have twice. I'm not even thinking about playoff seeding at this point. None of that matters if we're entering as a wildcard or not at all.
  5. Dude I am so torn right now. I felt a surge of excitement when Mahomes fumbled that ball, then again when Chris Jones committed that dumb penalty, and then I remembered who I'm supposed to be rooting for.
  6. Chiefs for sure, division is always the priority.
  7. Chris Jones stepped in. That was an unacceptable penalty in that moment.
  8. This year he really hasn't been though. He almost singlehandedly lost them the Jets game. He was also the primary reason their offense sucked against the Broncos, turning down open pass catchers and throwing dumb interceptions.
  9. I definitely wouldn't go that far. They are sorely lacking in offensive weapons. Only one difference maker on the DL. It's very hard to win consecutive playoff games with major vulnerabilities like that.
  10. Based on how Skyy Moore has looked this year, I'm inclined to believe that poor throw was the result of an incorrect route. He never looks like he has any idea where he's supposed to be on the field. I'm surprised the Chiefs keep putting him out there.
  11. The Dolphins need to stop running plays that start with the ball thrown behind the LOS. Just call normal plays past the sticks. All of these gimmick plays have turned into disasters for them.
  12. The jet lag excuse was exposed by how we played in our next 2 games after that... The Jags game was just the start of our annual 3-4 game rut that we always fall into under McDermott.
  13. God I am jealous of how well coached this Chiefs defense is. As soon the ball is recovered, you see a LB setting his feet and looking around for someone to block. And the wherewithal of the DB to lateral the ball back to Cook and then Cook to immediately run down the sideline at full speed.
  14. Hill should have it drop to the ground as soon as he realized he was getting tackled behind the LOS.
  15. The difference between the Chiefs offense and Dolphins offense is that if you make the Chiefs work for their entire drive, they've shown they can do it. Might not be pretty but they'll put together a few gritty TD drives every game. The Dolphins live and die on explosive plays. So the question remains, can a 100% finesse offense built entirely on speed over size win games deep into January?
  16. I think what's actually happened is too many officiating crews have called soft defensive holding penalties for years now, so now our eyes are attuned to seeing penalties that aren't there. This game is an example of how it should always be called. Just call the egregious ones. It makes the viewing experience so much better.
  17. So sick of Mahomes whining for every single flag. You just clotheslined yourself with that face mask, man. The defender didn't do it on purpose.
  18. You think so? I'm enjoying it a lot. It isn't sloppy. The defenses are just playing out of their minds and the refs aren't calling soft penalties.
  19. He and Anarumo are far and away the best defensive coaches in football IMO. Both are a much bigger reason for those teams' recent playoff successes than a lot of casual fans realize.
  20. Defense has made a big comeback across the league this year. Every week this becomes more clear. It tooks a few years but DCs have figured out the rules of these modern explosive offenses and are using those rules against them.
  21. In addition to all of the critical coaching failures in high leverage moments in close games, I don't think we talk enough about the Bills falling into a rut for several games in a row every single year under McDermott. It's uncanny. Other contenders have bad games, not bad months. Every year one bad loss spirals into several games of ineptitude, and those bad streaks have kept us out of the #1 seed multiple times. We just got through one such streak, and it came during a soft period when we should have been stacking wins to guarantee a playoff spot. At some point isn't the head coach responsible for that repeated failure? Coaching isn't just about scheme or game planning, it's about managing the players. That's not something you can really measure objectively, but clearly McDermott has a hard time keeping the team's emotions and/or focus under control for an entire season. I just don't know how we'll ever win a Super Bowl with a coach that has a habit of poor decisions in critical moments and runs a team susceptible to bad streaks. That is not a recipe for success.
  22. Pickens is the most overrated WR in the league IMO. I think Bills fans specifically overrate him because he had a lot of production against us last year. He has a few incredible contested catches every season but that can't be the only way you make a living as an NFL WR. The consistent separation just isn't there.
