  1. It doesn't matter. He turned around and flashed his hands. It's obviously a pick but they're legal when disguised as routes. Instead of complaining about it, use it to our advantage. Details like that are why we lost to the Pats. Latavius Murrary ran straight into a defender as a clear blocker and took a TD off the board.
  2. It's not illegal. The WR made it look like he was stopping on a route. If you make it look like a route it isn't an illegal block.
  3. Man that 3rd down conversion he had earlier on the drive was a special special throw, and he gives it all back on one play.
  4. What could they possibly even discuss?? The whistle never blew, the play never stopped. That's Eagles ball.
  5. Everything on offense looks better when we commit to the run game. OL included. When the guy lined up across from you doesn't know how he's going to attack at the snap, it creates a more favorable matchup. This was Dorsey's biggest failing as an OC, IMO.
  6. I'm sure Brady didn't mean this press conference comment as a shot at Dorsey, but...
  7. I appreciate that from day one he has been a total pro. I think he must have had a very good upbringing with great parents and coaches because he is always completely engaged on every play from start to finish even if he isn't directly involved. That attitude in my experience is not inherent, it's something drilled into you from a young age. The 3-man block on Shakir's TD is one example that's been pointed out. Another good one is last week against the Broncos on Allen's TD run, when Kincaid saw Allen was starting to run he flashed his hands in a catching position just to hold his defender a tick longer to give Allen more space. He's the definition of a gamer. Crazy thing is he didn't start playing football until late in life, senior year of high school if I recall correctly, so he still has so much room to grow as a player.
  8. Wait we're doing Kelvin Benjamin trutherism now? Cool. You know what he did after getting kicked off the Bills? Went to the Chiefs. He played in one game, had a perfect Mahomes pass bounce off his chest and hit the ground, and then never played football again. The irony isn't lost on me that now people are lamenting how unfair it is that Mahomes only has ONE Hall of Fame talent to throw the ball to. It's not his fault that he has to produce with the likes of R̶o̶b̶e̶r̶t̶ F̶o̶s̶t̶e̶r̶ Marquez Valdes-Scantling, A̶n̶d̶r̶e̶ H̶o̶l̶m̶e̶s̶ Justin Watson, Z̶a̶y̶ J̶o̶n̶e̶s̶ Kadarius Toney, and K̶e̶l̶v̶i̶n̶ B̶e̶n̶j̶a̶m̶i̶n̶ Skyy Moore. And his OL isn't definitively a top 2 OL in football anymore. It's a meager top 5-ish now. How does he ever manage to move the ball forward? Seriously though if you ever need a good laugh, look up the 2018 Bills starting pass catchers and OL. It was so bad that the entire fanbase fell in love with a CFL star in 2019 because by comparison he represented a huge improvement. It's seriously unbelievable that Josh Allen took any positive steps forward in his development with those first two years of BS around him. I'm not sure any QB in history would have broken this record with that awful starting point to their career.
  9. It wasn't. That was Dorsey's scheme just called differently. Obviously I understand wanting to see more before believing Brady is the solution, but I don't think defenses are going to be able to key in on anything new. When your play caller calls a balanced offense there's not much to key in on. So more than anything I just want to see Brady do it again.
  10. For me it's less about Allen's final rushing stat line, and more about what giving him the green light to run does to his overall effectiveness as a player. Running through an open rush lane instead of forcing the ball downfield is a big positive step. I have always felt that Allen is a much better QB when he has that freedom to run wild and hey even crash face first into a LB from time to time. His attitude and demeanor on the field look entirely different when given that freedom. Whatever causes that effect you can't deny it's there.
  11. What I liked about Joe Brady from the start is that as soon as he was given the OC job, he wasted no time jumping head first into the position, as if he had been the OC all along. His opening press conference was impressive and exuded confidence. We saw him throughout the week looking very active and hands-on at practices. A small thing but something the players surely noticed and responded to. Throughout the week at OBD and up in the booth today he looked in total command at all times. As for his play calling, I love that he committed to what we do well and took some dead on arrival concepts out of the play book. No more forcing the ball to Davis downfield. No short yardage shotgun handoffs. On 4th and short he called an easy bootleg that we've converted for 1sts dozens of times, instead of various "coverage beaters" that have no cohesion. He committed to the run from start to finish even when the run offense was stymied at times. He used plays to set things up for later - our failed end around early on led to a fake end around pulling the defense out of position on Ty Johnson's TD. He made it a point to get everyone other than Davis involved as pass catchers which kept us in rhythm and the Jets defense off balance. Really just a stunning play calling performance for Brady from start to finish. And the offensive players all looked a lot more upbeat and a lot more engaged on the field. We didn't let bad plays or stalled drives snowball into a rut that lasts for 30 minutes of game time. Getting some new energy in the room may have been exactly what this offense needed.
  12. It's crazy how challenging we've found it to get our RBs involved in the offense over the past few years. The fact that a guy like Ty Johnson could come in off the PS and immediately produce like that, it shows you how easy it should be to have a run game when defenses are going all out to stop your passing offense. We've made it look so difficult for so long.
  13. He did very well filling the run, but got lost in coverage a few times. Smart QBs are going to target him repeatedly.
  14. I mean, I guess. Shakir is fine which means he's better than Davis by default. By no means is he a true WR2 though, let's not overexaggerate. Our passing offense has a huge hole at the #2 spot behind Diggs. Tonight that was by far the biggest reason that some of our early drives stalled out. Brady and Allen maximized it as best they could, but it's still a pretty glaring vulnerability for our team right now. If anything Cook and the run game have become our go to when Allen to Diggs isn't working. As long as we can use our RBs in the run and pass game as well as we did today, the #2 pass catcher role can be papered over with some combination of Kincaid and Shakir. I just worry about games where our passing offense has to be the engine of the team. Do we have enough there to win those kinds of games?
  15. I think on re-watch Josh Allen will look even better than he appeared during the live broadcast. He overcame numerous pass protection errors, drops, and a totally invisible performance from his WR2, while leading his offense to an explosive day against an elite defense. The Bills passing offense has a major personnel issue. Everybody can see that. Without Allen our passing offense would look like the Jets, that's a fact.
  16. Allen Cook Brady Bernard Floyd Douglas
  17. Thank you Josh Allen!! I love how fearless that throw was. We need that version of himm.
  18. Garbage call
  19. Amazing play call!! Not some bizarre set of "coverage beaters." On 4th and short keep it simple.
  20. Your offense scored ZERO points in the entire 2nd half against the Dolphins. Stay in your lane.
  21. Every time this offense gains momentum and scores a TD, the defense lets up a long ass TD drive.
  22. We are gifting the Jets this long drive. It's inexcusable. Guys need to start seeing the bench.
  23. Holding them to a FG here is a big win. Jets put it all out there this drive because they had no choice.
