Coleman having the potential to draw a lot of defensive penalties is an underrated part of his skill set IMO. I remember Dane Bruger specifically noting in his scouting profile that he drew quite a few flags in the red zone especially, and that's arguably even more important at the NFL level.

Worth noting he has a history of being a dirty player and getting suspended for it. But a ton of experience as a starter.

36 years old, not sure how much juice he has left. Obviously they must have concerns at the position.

Benford in general has seemingly not had a good camp, a lot of the offense's best plays are coming at his expense. I think the door is open for Elam to steal his job.

Hamler has gotten occasional 1st team reps and is a candidate for the kick return job. Based on what's been reported this week he is more likely to make it than MVS. Shorter hasn't done anything and Claypool has gotten occasional 1st team reps but hasn't gotten any kind of buzz. I would probably put Shavers and Hamler as WR5 and WR6 right now, but still very early.

Joe Marino reporting that MVS once again took no 1st team reps today. Second day in a row of this... It's officially time to have him on the roster bubble.

I didn't like the pick to begin with (because of positional value) but no way we should be worried about any player one week into their first ever training camp. At the very least he apparently isn't standing out in a bad way. A 2nd round player getting rotated between the 1s and 2s is exactly where he should be at IMO. Honestly my biggest concern at safety is that Rapp is apparently locked in as one of the starters, getting all 1st team reps so far, and I wish he had some legit competition.

I'm starting to wonder. Joe Marino said MVS took zero snaps with the 1s yesterday, while Claypool, Shavers, Hamler all got a couple. And MVS doesn't play any special teams like those three do. I could see the last two spots going to Shavers and Hamler based on what we've heard about them so far.
