So let's assume we win out but Miami beats the Cowboys and Ravens. For us to get in as a wildcard we need 2 of these teams to drop to 7 losses:
Browns (currently at 5 losses)
Bengals (6 losses)
Colts (6 losses)
Texans (6 losses)
Browns play the Texans and Bengals still. We should root for them to win out.
Texans and Colts still play so that is a freebie to knock one of them down to 7 losses.
Bengals still play the Chiefs and Browns. I'd be shocked if they win both of those.
So basically if we win out we are all but guaranteed a wildcard spot.
A lot of teams have figured out you can neutralize Parsons by running the ball right at him. Brady didn't re-write the book today, like most great OCs he just stuck with what works. Football can and should be really simple.
And also because he has dropped the ball too much and had trouble separating. But he made it all up on that incredible one handed catch in the rain to keep the drive alive.
I genuinely hope not! Our downfield passing offense isn't there this year. Don't waste downs. Just keep picking up chunks of yards and move the chains. That's what the league has turned into this year.
I don't care. Just catch the ball and get tackled without losing it. He's done that 100% of the time this year so in my eyes he's a perfect punt returner.
I'm always a fan of running the ball more in this offense. We are gifted so many easy opportunities from defenses selling out to stop the pass. Take those easy opportunities and everything else will open up.
So literally that entire drive was Allen runs, RB runs, or RB targets. No WR or TE usage. I have no clue if that's sustainable for a deep playoff run but if that's our identity now stick with it until someone stops it.
This is the first game in a while he doesn't have to force things to keep the offense moving. This is what Josh looks like when he has some real support around him...
