A bad RTP call on 1st down did not cause that TD drive. It was McDermott's play calling.

Seriously though, if we're going to have a defensive minded head coach shouldn't we expect elite defensive play calling? There are several DCs across the league that are better than McDermott. So what is the point of giving him the top job?

Burrow is awesome against the blitz. It is 3rd and long, he is going to find someone in man coverage against this group. And our blitzes never get home anyways because they are predictable.

It all happened because of a completely stupid play call on 3rd down. Two TD drives McDermott gave up with his idiocy. I am just completely done with him as a coach. We will never win a Super Bowl with him.

It's not just the blitzing. McDermott has zero situational awareness with his play calling.

We need an upgrade at defensive coaching next year before anything else. The problem is obvious. Two key 3rd downs given up on consecutive drives because of stupid play calling.

Are you sick of McDermott yet? Predictable 3rd down blitzes week after week and they don't work.

They need to start fining officials. Something has to change.

Good thing we put Benford off coverage on 3rd and short. It made sure we gave up the TD 1 minute later than maybe we would have.

Every week that passes I grow more confident that McDermott is not the one. He coaches scared. So frightened of the big play that he gifts free access underneath for 1st downs over and over and over again.

That would be disappointing. Josh Dobbs stepped in at QB for the Vikings after just one week of being on the team. We better be able to implement a CB, at least platoon him with Jackson.

No, you didn't say great game. You said only how he played against the Dolphins. That was a perfect game. To be fair I understand why you feel that way. It's become clear this year that even Allen playing excellent is barely enough to let us squeak by a below average team in the Bucs. But let's put the onus where it belongs. Instead of making tonight's game a referendum on Allen vs Burrow.

Then we can pack it in for the season. Josh had literally a perfect passer rating in that game. If that's what it takes to beat a good team, might as well look to the draft.
