Now imagine if we had gone for it against an elite defense, failed to convert, and gifted momentum to the Jets. Good work by McDermott not over thinking it and taking points.
Brady killed that drive with his shot play call. Enough with those. The Chiefs scored ZERO deep TD passes in 2022. We need to accept who our personnel is and run the offense to match. Diggs and Davis are not going to break open deep, it just isn't happening this year.
I would be fine with calling literally zero shot plays the rest of the year. We don't have the OL or the pass catchers to make it work. It's a momentum buster every time.
Yeah this offense looks and feels totally different. Kincaid as the first read, commiting to the run, a designed pass play to Cook. Personnel is obviously still an issue but Brady is getting the most out of it.
Every QB stares down receivers. A lot of commentary on here fails to understand why a QB does certain things on certain plays. There was nothing to look off here.
It doesn't matter at all if you're throwing an outside pass to the pylon with the safety hanging back deep. QBs don't always need to look off the safety. On this play it made zero difference.
Stare down is the term du jour around here... Nothing inherently wrong with staring down a pass catcher though, it's just a thing people say. There he was watching to make sure the window would open and it did... and then Morris just dropped it.
I'm only nervous because I know that if we lose this one the rest of the games won't even matter. It's been a long time since I felt that way about the Bills at the end of November. I just want the hope to continue.
