Lamar is wasting a very good Ravens defensive performance right now. His reputation as a playoff choker is not going away any time soon unless he finds a way back info this game. -
To be fair that seems to be all the Chiefs defense is giving up. We had the same issue last week, we had to rely on our RBs as pass catchers.

Disagree with this. They are holding the Chiefs to 4.8 yards per play. For reference the Chiefs averaged 5.5 YPP in the regular season, they got 5.5 YPP against the Dolphins in the wildcard, and 8.5 YPP against us last week. Ravens defense is not the problem right now.

Ravens defense hasn't been as bad as it looks. 5.0 yards per play given up which is actually worse than the Chiefs average for the regular season. Ravens offense needs to show up, fast.

Really dumb blitz there. I have no clue what they were thinking. Easy pitch and catch to the GOAT puts them in FG range. No reason the Ravens should be down by 10 right now given those holding penalties.

It seems crazy to say right now but the Ravens defense actually has made some nice adjustments... This drive is only happening because of 30 yards they gave up from brain dead penalties.

Yeah at this point the play of the QBs is the biggest difference on the field.

Mahomes actually made a big mistake on the last drive, Romo showed it, which directly led to them not scoring a TD. The difference is he has other stars on his team stepping up and making exceptional plays. So far no one other than Lamar has made an exceptional play for the Ravens.

As usual it is a game of elite players. Mahomes, Kelce, and Jones are individually better than any player the Ravens have. Lamar is the closest they have. The Ravens have a better overall team but the Chiefs have more stars.

For sure, all the elements make it work. Kelce's own abilities and toughness, Mahomes' ball placement, Reid's use of rub routes to get him open even against bracketed coverage.

One area Andy Reid has been brutally bad this year is 3rd or 4th and short. He almost never puts the ball in Mahomes' hands. The best thing the Ravens defense does is stop the run... How do you just run right at them like that? After the incredible plays #15 and #87 have been making?

I don't really blame Lamar there. His blindside got blown up. It is just that the Chiefs players are all stepping up, like they do every year.

Every single player on the Chiefs plays at their absolute best in the playoffs. It's uncanny.
