  1. I'm at a 9. Pittsburgh was genuinely a bad team for most of the year. I'm not letting a couple of hot games from a 3rd string QB dissuade me. It's Jake Browning, it's Joe Flacco, it's Josh Dobbs. Eventually the true player always comes out. If the Bills manage to lose this game I'll be first on the fire McDermott train. We get the weakest opponent in the playoffs missing their best player. It could not possibly be set up better short of being the #1 seed.
  2. Ben Johnson gets it. For my money this was a perfectly called offensive game for the Lions.
  3. It wasn't dirty. He made the only possible hit he could make in that moment. Just so happens Higbee had awkward footing while trying to double catch the ball.
  4. 100%. The only reason it looked bad is Higbee double clutched the catch and made the timing look weird.
  5. Not in the playoffs it isn't. Which is for the best IMO. Just know the game you're playing and coach your defensive players accordingly.
  6. Found the tweet, it was Jeremy Fowler:
  7. He is not under contract by the Bills, I saw it reported by I think Ian Rappaport a couple weeks ago. So no comp picks.
  8. It's not even a 50/50 call, the refs flat out blew it. Zero reason a call like this in a playoff game shouldn't immediately be overturned by the eye in the sky.
  9. It's always teams from certain cities getting jobbed like that. Sick of it. The NFL could fix it if they wanted to.
  10. Wow you don't see Sewell beat off the snap like that too often
  11. Ben Johnson really is excellent. He has a natural feel for the flow of the game and knows what his players do well. One lucky team will change their fortunes when they hire him in a few weeks.
  12. Lions secondary is a big problem. #29 got real greedy there.
  13. Are the Packers definitive proof that developing a QB from the bench for at least a year is the best possible scenario? It's now 3 QBs in a row they've done that with and it just keep working.
  14. He has had by far the worst coaching of the others on that list so I'll give him a mulligan. Unfortunately for the Chargers they will probably need one year of pain under a new regime to get their cap in order, before hopefully being competitive in 2025. Chiefs fans needn't worry next season. Other than them it is a division full of total rebuilds.
  15. Wow! Three wildcard games, three blowouts.
  16. It is not a flag. The defender did a rip move which put the LT in a position that looked like a hold. So there is no penalty. That's the rule.
  17. Dolphins fans on Twitter have spent all day crying about this play: But that is a textbook rip move.
  18. Doesn't matter. Per the rule a rip move will only draw a holding flag if the hold brings the pass rusher to the ground. It's one of the least understood rules in football.
  19. That's an obvious RTP in the modern NFL. It was almost two full seconds after the ball came out that Wilkins pushed him with arms fully outstretched. He had time to slow up but he got greedy and cost his team. Serves him right.
  20. Haha just keep making it easy on Mahomes. Hilarious defensive play calling from Vic Fangio. I'm convinced he's having a go at us now.
  21. Kind of weak but they call that every time now. There's just no reason to hit him at all when you're that far away as the ball is released. Stupid play from the nut grabber.
  22. Yeah and those were our worst games... The Pats away game was the worst defensive coaching performance that I've seen this millennium. You can't just predictably send the house all the time like that.
  23. We have to. If not now, how will McDermott ever do it? Mahomes and Reid aren't going anywhere. They will never give Mahomes this poor a WR group again. Get it done or find someone else that can, that's my line in the sand.
  24. Holy **** I really cannot believe these all out blitzes on 3rd down. Vic is point shaving, there's no other rational explanation.
  25. If we can't beat this version of the Chiefs team in the playoffs, we never will under McDermott.
