Some of the ridiculous almost on accident catches other teams make, it's insane.

I turned the game off after the last Dolphins TD. How the hell did this happen??

Can you imagine playing your heart out against a superior team for 50 minutes, nothing to play for other than pride and love of the game, and then two completely boneheaded plays take all the air out of your chances in 60 seconds flat?

Meh. Holding Miami to 20 seemed extremely impressive at first but now everyone is doing it. A WLB, even an elite one, should not be the difference. Yesterday it didn't feel like we really stopped KC with our defensive scheme all that much. Individual great plays by Epenesa and Benford caued huge turnovers. KC pass catchers screwed up a bunch. None of the criticisms against McDermott's defensive play calling got answered IMO.

There is some truth to this. It didn't feel like we really earned the win yesterday. Then again it didn't feel like KC really earned it, so 🤷‍♂️ What frustrates me most about McDermott is that for a defensive head coach we don't get as big an advantage on defense as you'd hope. Spagnuolo is pretty clearly a better defensive schemer and the Chiefs get him as just a coordinator. All of our blitzes are telegraphed and easily diagnosed and picked up by the opposing OL. He's a fine defensive mind, just not an elite one. So what advantage are we getting from him as a head coach?

The only thing I don't understand is why McDaniel tries Hill on so many goalline fares. That isn't his strength as a player at all.

Tyreek Hill has the entire Titans secondary in hell. Such a ridiculous player.

The ball didn't even move in slow motion, he had full control until the ball hit the helmet of the defender. Bad challenge

Oh come off it. There are plays like this in every game for every QB. This isn't Madden. Allen has defined rules on every play. On this one he never had time to get past his first read because pressure immediately got in his face so he correctly launched it to Kincaid in single coverage. Unfortunately it was a tad too far upfield for Kincaid to make a play on the ball. What sucks about this play is Brady had been setting it up all game. We faked a screen to Diggs and the play worked exactly as intended drawing the KC defenders forward, but because our OL couldn't block for a half second Allen had to make a quick throw off his back foot to his first read.

At least the Chiefs have an excuse of trying to re-tool their team after two Super Bowl wins. What's our excuse? Considering we restructured our three biggest contracts in the offseason, presumably that was a signal that Beane was pushing the chips in. The more I think about it, the more it blows my mind that he didn't find a way to fit Hopkins in.

McDermott speaking now. Kincaid is day to day, Hyde and Epenesa are week to week. So we are likely going to be without Hyde and Epenesa against the Cowboys...

Which points? It seems inarguable that Kelce >>>> Diggs yesterday (and over the past few weeks) and that Mahomes had much better pass protection yesterday. It is a testament to how poorly the Bills have built an offense around Allen that even with Mahomes having the worst WR group of his career, he still arguably has a better situation than Allen does. Everyone can agree both offenses right now are relying on their QBs to make otherworldly plays. That is not a sustainable method of scoring points. The Bengals backup QB stepped in and is scoring 30+ points. If the Bills or Chiefs backup QBs had to play full games it would be a disaster.

Yesterday Mahomes still had his go to guy in Kelce. Allen didn't have a go to guy. He had to basically make it happen on his own, with some help from Cook. And Mahomes had much better pass protection too. KC was getting home with 3 man rushes. Allen making a couple more great plays than Mahomes is why we won IMO.

His numbers have been great because he's a top 15 WR with a top 2 QB throwing him the ball. But his play on the field just hasn't been up to his usual standard this year IMO. More drops than usual, no contested catches, he's having trouble separating against other teams' CB1s. Like Mahomes' weapons tonight mostly sucked but he could still rely on Kelce as his go to guy when all else failed. Allen didn't have a go to guy tonight, or much at all in recent weeks.

AJ Brown's QB is average IMO. He is the main reason their passing offense does anything at all. He's pretty clearly better than Diggs this year. Other than Hill and Brown - Jefferson (when healthy), Chase, Wilson, Metcalf, Adams, Cooper. Those are the really dominant WRs this year (in no particular order), obviously with a high variance in the level of QB they have throwing the ball to them. DJ Moore, Lamb, and Mike Evans, I'm not quite there but close. I'm not sure Diggs is playing equal or better football over the past two months than any of the WRs I mentioned above.

It wasn't just this week though. He has not played like a top tier #1 WR really since the London game. It's a legit concern. Especially since the WRs behind him are below average, we need our #1 to be elite to make up for it. I don't think this team has the necessary weapons to win a Super Bowl. Even if you assume best case scenario and we make it to the Super Bowl to play 49ers, Eagles, and Cowboys, how are we possibly going to compete against those rosters?

I think the constant screens were an effort to get KC out of blitzing. Not that it mattered, they were getting equally effective pressure on 3 man rushes. Josh had his hands full today. Very little time kept clean and his WRs couldn't get open against single man coverage. And there were like 4 drops mixed in there too.
