  1. It's looked significantly worse IMO. He had 94 yards last week. Allen was producing quite a bit more than that even in his first few games and he wasn't throwing to the likes of DJ Moore/Keenan Alle either.
  2. Caleb Williams is a mess. Throws are all over the place and he hasn't looked comfortable in the pocket. Looks like he has a long way to go before he can have his team really competing.
  3. Ehhh that should be holding, not DPI.
  4. I called the Bears my dark horse team in the offseason but I'm about ready to get off that train immediately. Their coaching flat out sucks on both sides of the ball.
  5. I said it earlier but having a kicker that can nail 50+ yarders consistently is a massive underrated advantage. No one wants to hear it but Harrison Butker is a big reason for the Chiefs success in recent years - in a game of inches and photo finishes, 3 points can be the difference. Ravens are a good example. They had the best kicker in the league for a decade and it won them games. Now Tucker can't hit 50+ yarders and they start the year 0-2. It isn't a factor you can just hand wave away.
  6. I don't want to take anything away from Stroud but it's insane the margin of error that some of these QBs have. That throw was wide and should not have been completed. But his WR makes a great play and then his kicker nails a 59 yarder. 3 points on the board that could be the difference in a close game.
  7. They need to reverse that, clearly no catch
  8. I'm not sure their defense is that stout. Anthony Richardson missed a lot of wide open WRs last week. Adonai Mitchell should have had two deep TD receptions. This week so far the Bears offense is uncreative and easy to defend. The offense on the other hand is obviously legit.
  9. I know they're trying to protect their rookie QB but they need to open the offense up a bit. They're doing him no favors constantly putting him in these 3rd and long situations because they pussyfoot around with preseason type plays on 1st and 2nd.
  10. Bears offense is a mess schematically and the OL sucks.
  11. God I hate the Panthers for letting another elite QB end up in the AFC.
  12. Get used to it. Diggs is still a good WR. Not elite anymore but good. We didn't trade him because of talent.
  13. I somehow missed Pacheco's injury earlier:
  14. I don't claim to know what everyone's responsibility is but that appears to be Edmunds' zone that Collins just ran straight through
  15. Man having a kicker that can nail 50+ yarders is more important than ever with most drives automatically starting at the 30.
  16. Even though there literally was a flag on the previous play that saved the Bengals defense?
  17. Yeah it helps when one of your turnovers is immediately saved by a turnover from the other team that ends in a TD. Both QBs tried very hard to give the game away but Burrow's was unfortunately more punishing.
  18. It isn't holding if the pass rusher uses a rip move unless certain conditions are met. https://www.sbnation.com/23577117/2023-nfl-playoffs-chiefs-bengals
  19. A lot of penalties bail out bad plays. Wanya Morris's hands to the face on the previous play wasn't the reason the Bengals defense failed to get the stop on 4th and 6. It still counted against the Chiefs. Fair is fair. I will call out refs when they are obviously wrong and obviously impacting the game, but equally I dislike how many fans immediately start pointing the finger at officials instead of at the team that lost the game. Especially when the complaints have no basis in fact.
  20. They didn't miss any holding penalties, fans just don't know what holding looks like. The one egregious WTF penalty was the illegal contact called on Mahomes' 2nd INT, but that ultimately didn't affect the game. The Bengals lost it fair and square. Burrow and his stupid hair style should look in the mirror before he looks anywhere else. Followed closely by the idiot DB that jumped on the WR's head when the ball was still in the air.
  21. He didn't play through the catch, he jumped on the back of the intended pass catcher before the ball got there. Textbook DPI. There was a similar play earlier in the game that they didn't call because the Bengals DB timed it at the same time the ball got there.
  22. That's definitely not the case, though. Penalties don't stop being penalties just because they happen late in the game. No more than the hands to the face penalty the play before shouldn't have counted. I for one hate when refs suddenly start calling the game differently on do or die plays. Call it consistently and nobody can complain.
  23. The officials have been fine in this game. That was textbook DPI. The DB got the jitters and attacked the pass catcher early. If it's a penalty in the first two minutes of the game, it's a penalty in the final two minutes.
  24. That is a legit penalty, unfortunately. Sad thing is there was no reason for it. The throw was high and the DB could have easily played through the catch. He lost the game for his team.
  25. LT is an absolutely massive problem for them. That is not something you can just hide.
