I'm not sure their defense is that stout. Anthony Richardson missed a lot of wide open WRs last week. Adonai Mitchell should have had two deep TD receptions. This week so far the Bears offense is uncreative and easy to defend. The offense on the other hand is obviously legit.
-
I know they're trying to protect their rookie QB but they need to open the offense up a bit. They're doing him no favors constantly putting him in these 3rd and long situations because they pussyfoot around with preseason type plays on 1st and 2nd.
-
Bears offense is a mess schematically and the OL sucks.
-
God I hate the Panthers for letting another elite QB end up in the AFC.
-
Get used to it. Diggs is still a good WR. Not elite anymore but good. We didn't trade him because of talent.
-
I somehow missed Pacheco's injury earlier:
-
I don't claim to know what everyone's responsibility is but that appears to be Edmunds' zone that Collins just ran straight through
-
Man having a kicker that can nail 50+ yarders is more important than ever with most drives automatically starting at the 30.
-
Even though there literally was a flag on the previous play that saved the Bengals defense?
-
Yeah it helps when one of your turnovers is immediately saved by a turnover from the other team that ends in a TD. Both QBs tried very hard to give the game away but Burrow's was unfortunately more punishing.

It isn't holding if the pass rusher uses a rip move unless certain conditions are met. https://www.sbnation.com/23577117/2023-nfl-playoffs-chiefs-bengals

A lot of penalties bail out bad plays. Wanya Morris's hands to the face on the previous play wasn't the reason the Bengals defense failed to get the stop on 4th and 6. It still counted against the Chiefs. Fair is fair. I will call out refs when they are obviously wrong and obviously impacting the game, but equally I dislike how many fans immediately start pointing the finger at officials instead of at the team that lost the game. Especially when the complaints have no basis in fact.
-
They didn't miss any holding penalties, fans just don't know what holding looks like. The one egregious WTF penalty was the illegal contact called on Mahomes' 2nd INT, but that ultimately didn't affect the game. The Bengals lost it fair and square. Burrow and his stupid hair style should look in the mirror before he looks anywhere else. Followed closely by the idiot DB that jumped on the WR's head when the ball was still in the air.
-
He didn't play through the catch, he jumped on the back of the intended pass catcher before the ball got there. Textbook DPI. There was a similar play earlier in the game that they didn't call because the Bengals DB timed it at the same time the ball got there.
-
That's definitely not the case, though. Penalties don't stop being penalties just because they happen late in the game. No more than the hands to the face penalty the play before shouldn't have counted. I for one hate when refs suddenly start calling the game differently on do or die plays. Call it consistently and nobody can complain.
-
The officials have been fine in this game. That was textbook DPI. The DB got the jitters and attacked the pass catcher early. If it's a penalty in the first two minutes of the game, it's a penalty in the final two minutes.
-
That is a legit penalty, unfortunately. Sad thing is there was no reason for it. The throw was high and the DB could have easily played through the catch. He lost the game for his team.
-
LT is an absolutely massive problem for them. That is not something you can just hide.
-
Wasn't a drop. Terrible throw from "Joe Chill"

We control that destiny because we face the Chiefs. We can't control anythig about the Bengals season. We want them to rack up as many losses as possible. I would prefer if they didn't make the playoffs at all to be honest, if they start 0-2 with the AFC having so many good teams they'd be in real trouble.
-
Probably is better for us if the Chiefs pull this one out to be honest. We face them, not the Bengals, so we want to have a chance of owning the tiebreaker. But why do I find myself rooting for the Bengals anyways
-
For supposedly "the most accurate QB in the league" Burrow sure misses a lot of throws.
-
Rice looks like a true #1 so that automatically gives them an advantage. But yeah Worthy is not a true WR right now, he's a gadget player. Kelce looks slower. The tackles are a real problem. There are some legit vulnerabilities there. Shut down Rice and don't let them gash you too bad on inside runs.
-
Wow they benched the rookie LT
-
Chiefs normal drop back pass game doesn't look clean at all today. The rookie LT is getting his lunch money taken. Rice is the only one getting open consistently.
