The universal sentiment from people in attendance is that Allen is having the best training camp of his career.

Within 5 yards of the LoS you can absolutely chuck them to the ground. Chiefs fans on Twitter are hand waving it away saying they'll get him in motion so he won't have to deal with press. But it's hard to justify a WR in the 1st round if he can't consistently beat press IMO. If the plan is for him to just be basically a gadget WR with vertical traits, his ceiling will be pretty limited. With that frame he'll need to have a solid release plan or he's gonna get used to hitting the turf.

You'd have to feel a little concerned about this, right?

The low snaps on both of these is noticeable. McGovern needs to get that figured out ASAP.

So this is where people have to be careful when they reference those NextGen separation stats or Matt Harmon's reception perception charts. Coleman does not have multiple yards of separation on either of these plays - quite the opposite. They both would chart as negative plays according to those metrics. But what Coleman does give his QB is a window to fit the ball because of his length and body control and hand/eye coordination. And that's a WR's job. Not to show up favorably on Matt Harmon's chart, but to give his QB a throwing window and finish the catch. I'm growing more confident by the day that what I saw on Coleman's college tape is in fact translating to the NFL.

Coleman having the potential to draw a lot of defensive penalties is an underrated part of his skill set IMO. I remember Dane Bruger specifically noting in his scouting profile that he drew quite a few flags in the red zone especially, and that's arguably even more important at the NFL level.

Worth noting he has a history of being a dirty player and getting suspended for it. But a ton of experience as a starter.

36 years old, not sure how much juice he has left. Obviously they must have concerns at the position.

Not sure if I buy this but maybe we shouldn't read too much into MVS getting all 2nd team reps?
