My point was that if the top 4 guys are gone, and Bills don't decide to move up for Jackson or Reynolds because they have determined these two to be worth moving up for, there is the possibility that even these could be gone if Arizona/ Miami do move up and take them. If the Bills choose not to overpay, for the "top 6", I doubt they will take any of the remaining QBs at 12. I would hope the Bills would not take a QB at 12 just to have taken one if they don't feel he is going to be the one. Do everything you can to get the guy you want but if it doesn't work out, regroup and go to plan B, which might be to take Smith at LB.

Smith will be gone before 12 let alone be available at 22.

The Bills have the QB prospects ranked and have allotted the price they are willing to pay for each of them. There is a possibility that the 4th QB left at 5 is not worth the price The Bills are willing to pay. There are those on this board that say just wait and take Jackson, or Rudolph at 12, but there is also the possibility that a team like Arizona/ Miami would be willing to jump to 6 or 7 or 8 and take the 5th ranked QB. I believe there are 2 QBs the Bills are interested in that they are willing to overpay for to position themselves to get one of them. If it doesn't happen, regroup, stay true to your board and maybe move up to take the best LB available. Unless they get "their guy" I don't think they will overspend to get another developmental guy. They have 2 already. I just have this weird feeling that somehow, Bills end up with a CB/ safety at 12.

Bills Go 7-9 this Season

Bills really need to keep their first round pick for 2019. I believe it might be pretty high. -
Browns can't decide what QB is best to lead them. Giants deciding whether to get their future QB now or use draft pick # 2 for player(s) that might get them to one more playoff run. Jets definitely taking a QB. I billeve Bills know which QB they want (dependent on the meeting with Darnold) and will be willing to pay a premium to get him. (May or may not be Darnald but they will have someone they want and know what they will need to pay to get him. This is the year Bills get their QB. Let's hope they get the right one, whatever the price.

When I look at Spotrac, it looks like $9.7 million for rookie signings is already included and that Bills have almost $19 million in available salary cap.

Nice hands from Highlights. QB didn't necessarily help him out a lot. A KB type player. -

McDermott: NFL is a “drop-back league”

Agree, with Darnold being the consolation prize. However, it looks less and less likely that either will be available for the Bills. In this case, Jackson could be an interesting consolation prize at 12. -

The only reason Jackson would not be considered by the Bills is if they do not feel his accuracy issues are correctable. When you watch the tape on Jackson, you can see that he looks to throw when it is a passing play, even when the play breaks down. Having the athleticism to be able to extend plays is an added bonus that makes Jackson that much more appealing. -
I believe Bills will be denied 3 of 4 top QB prospects up to pick 5. If Broncos aren't interested in the 4th or 5th QB (likely Mayfield/ Jackson), they might be willing to trade, or they might take a CB or Chubb if available. Beware of Arizona moving up. Bills may have messed up in not getting that third round pick but I think they really only wanted Allen/ Darnold at position 1, 2, 3. I don't see them moving up further until they absolutely see how it all shakes out.

Certainly hope so. He appears to be a good kid with good family support structure. We have all done some dumb things in our lives. Hopefully he will learn from this.

Is one of these guys really worth all the draft capital to move up to get? It might be better to take Lamar at 12 and use the rest of the draft capital accumulated to give him a team that can compete year after year. Especially, if the best we can do is to get the fourth or fifth best QB by moving up. -
We do need a #1. Him or T.O. is all Bills can probably afford for a year.

LOL Can't blame him. He probably looks at the roster and thinks, " I got this". Always liked Dansby though. Can't believe he is still playing. Obviously "The Process" is not age discriminatory.

Fiction - Taylor made Oline look better
richardb1952 replied to Hebert19's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
When your WRs can't get separation a defense like San Diego can put 8 in the box and send more bodies than there are blockers. You have to make them respect your passing game. I believe at least two of those interceptions were the fault of the WRs/ RBs. Of course, it didn't help that our # 1 and # 2 WRs were out of the game after the first series. The OL was probably at least partially responsible for not being able to contain the pressure on two of those interceptions. I don't see AJ as being much better than Peterman. Lets hope he can throw on the run because the OL and the WRs as of today are even less than last year. -

Doesn't include Kyles' and Bodines' contracts. Probably about 15 Million when all is said and done to this point. -

Were this to happen, this draft will define the AFC East for years to come. Hope the Bills get the right QB and Jets get the lesser QB. However, my fear is that NE will take Rudolph and he will end up being the next Brady, (there is a thread about this) so it will all be for naught.
