  1. You must be referring to playing against 1st string opposing players as being in a tough spot. Bills will do well when they play against the second and third stringers. Oh, thats right, third string will be gone after cut downs and second string will seldom see the field.
  2. If he plays as he did the second Preseason game, he should be the regular season starter. If he is more like preseason game 1, he's probably not quite ready. Somewhere in between, then coaches will really have a tough decision to make.
  3. Bills might be punting a lot this year. We might need an extra punter.
  4. I'm glad that nightmare is behind us. It was difficult to be a Bills fan during that fiasco.
  5. I would consider playing Peterman Qtrs 1 & 3, and Allen Qtrs 2 & 4. Or vice versa. That should give each one a fair chance. Make a decision after game. It would give them 2 weeks to get up to speed with the ones.
  6. "The Process" is not always easy to figure out but we trust there is one and that it is unfolding just as it should.
  7. I think he could be like a Fred Jackson type player. If that was the case, that would be great.
  8. The good thing is that it is all on film which Edmunds and the coaches will review so he better understands what is happening. As a wise man once said; It's all part of the process.
  9. I just think that with a new coaching staff they wanted to have more time to evaluate the QB the franchise would hang its hat on. Mahomes wasn't necessarily considered to be a sure fired franchise QB, so to be offered the opportunity to move down and gain draft capital for next year seemed like a good move. Had the coaches already been in place longer, they might have taken Mahomes. Probably more of a timing issue than anything else. Seems to have worked out well. T. White, Allen, and Edmunds picks can be at least partially a result of the trade down. Only time will tell.
  10. In a real game, there would have been more chip blocks from TEs and RBs like in the first preseason game. This offense looked much more vanilla than in game one. There was not a lot of pre-motion in game two. I'm sure they are evaluating different things in game one versus two. Garrett is very good though. Also, it appears that Browns blitzed more, though it might have appeared to be a blitz because of how fast they were getting into the backfield. I was more concerned with the inability of the Bills defense in stopping the run. I would have thought they would have been better.
  11. Compared to Hard Knocks (Browns), the Bills come across as far more organized. No screaming at the players, no putting anyone down but still holding everyone accountable. Nice to see that the coaches allow the players to have some fun also. Bills seem very consistent in the expectations of both the players and the coaches. Very enjoyable seeing a little bit of the behind the scenes.
  12. The Bills were probably lucky to have made the playoffs last year. They might get lucky again this year if a lot of things fall into place. I do billieve (any belief about the Bills future success) that after this year the foundation will be set for the Bills to be a solid contender for years to come. Looking forward to this season as a season of growth and identity with the Bills getting better and better as the season progresses.
  13. I look forward to pre-season game 2. Hopefully Foster can step it up. His speed, and Allens arm would really stretch opposing defenses. He did quit on that bomb and then when he saw Allen throw it, he tried to catch up to it but it was too late. The first Allen throw was out of bounds and Foster could have done nothing to catch it and stay in bounds. It will be interesting to see what Coleman brings to the team. I would like to see Foster on the practice squad if the Bills believe he can be developed.
  14. I like that he is comfortable climbing the pocket, can throw on the run, looks to and is willing to throw the ball in tight windows, and can run when needed to. His strong arm will really stretch the defense. I look forward to what he can become in 2 years onward in this offense.
  15. I would not be surprised to see McCloud on the practice squad unless he takes over punt/ kick off return duties. Similar in height/ size to Kerley. Don't count out Streater either. I believe they will keep 6 depending on how many TEs they keep. I wonder about Holmes who hardly played last year with the poor cast they had then. If he makes it I believe they think he is too valuable on special teams/ inside 20 to let go.
  16. After watching that video, that Jerry Rice guy really sucked.
  17. Appreciate the updates. Sounds like the defense is giving up some big runs. Hope that is not a portend of things to come.
  18. Many on here suggest the Ravens' Offense to be mediocre at best. I would counter that argument with "Mediocre" for the Bills offense would be a huge upgrade over what is to be the expectation this year with question marks on the OL, WRs and of course QB. Ravens defense is very physical, something past Bills teams always seem to have problems with. The game is an away game for the Bills with an new OC and a new game plan. Remember, Bills made the playoffs because Ravens gave up a miracle TD, so Ravens not that bad and certainly play in a tougher division than the AFC East. This game might very well be a significant Tie Breaker in determining play off teams at end of season. (San Diego very well could also). Best the Bills can hope for is the kind of game we saw a lot of last year. Bills will need to win the Turnover battle, something not so easy now that TT is gone. Even FG kicking is a tossup at best. It's a brutal opening 5 game stretch and this game might be there best chance of a victory. If they can go 2 - 3 during that time, I will like our chances as the season progresses. (I thought the same thing last year). I just hope that when we finally get to play the Dolphins and Jets that these games will be meaningful. GO BILLS.
  19. So difficult to install a new system when you aren't sure who your QB is going to be. BTW, how long in TC until a starting QB is named? I would guess that best case scenario to be right after the second pre-season game.
  20. I wonder if any of them knew Shady.
  21. I don't necessarily believe Bills fans want to see Peterman start. The poll was asking if fans believe he deserves a shot. There is a big difference between thinking he deserves a chance to start and wanting him to be the starter. How long in training camp before a starter needs to be named? I would think after the second game.
  22. I'm somewhat concerned with overall lack of speed in this group. Hopefully scheme will overcome general lack of perceived talent. If the passing game can be at least mediocre enough to keep defenses honest Bills can be competitive. Definitely ? marks at WR, QB and maybe OL although I believe the OL will be better than expected, even with at least two new starters. One good aspect of having a questionable WR group is the possibility of one or two of these guys surpassing expectations and suddenly a perceived weakness might become a strength. I just hope the QB competition sorts itself out fairly early in camp so whoever can start developing a rhythm with these WRs.
  23. I would be surprised if Andre Holmes makes the squad this year, much less next year. I was very unimpressed with him as a WR considering Benjamin and Mathews were both out at various times and Holmes was still not able to step in and contribute as a WR.
