  1. Or, maybe McCarron is better than all those guys and Bills have their franchise QB. Maybe in 2 years, McCarron is the franchise and Lamar is a budding WR, and Polian is being touted as a genius. Or probably not.
  2. I like Streeter. Think he can contribute. Andre Holmes must be real good on special teams because he doesn't do much as a WR.
  3. As do I. I do not see that much difference in potential from most of these projected first round QBs. Certainly not enough to spend valuable draft capital to move up to get one. As it now stands, Bills would be moving up to get the 4th best (rated QB). Take Lamar at 12. If he fails, Bills aren't out that much but will have opportunities to vastly improve the team with all the draft capital they have accumulated. Seems like a worthwhile gamble to me.
  4. Go left Lamar, go left.
  5. These are the types of signings that fill holes and then you immediately start looking for replacements. At least they are experienced as hole fillers. Heck, we might look back at this next season and say what great signings these were, or not.
  6. Definitely needed some depth at center and Tackle position. Let them fight it out in camp
  7. Other than Darnold, I'm not sure any of these guys are worth moving up for in the top 5. It would be ballsy but if the Bills wait it out at 12 they might have a shot at Jackson. I think Daboll could put him in an offense where his talents could shine.
  8. I believe the Bills have 1 QB they feel is worth moving up for. If Browns take him at 1, Bills will stay at 12. If the QB the Bills covet is available at 2, Bills will do everything they can, up to a point, to move up to 2. A trade with Giants, if Giants are willing, would be contingent on who is available at 2. I believe the value Bills placed on # 2 - #6 rated QBs on their board is not worth trading up for as one of those QBs are likely to be there at 12 or close enough to trade up for in the 9 - 10 range if the board really goes crazy.
  9. I would wonder more if they didn't call. Gauge how interested Browns might be to move out of # 1 pick. I believe Browns will keep that pick, which, worst case scenario, one QB is gone. Do Bills value one above all others, (Darnold, my guess) and if so, do they value the second QB on their list worthy of moving up to two, if available. Sounds to me though, Bills are not looking to just get one of the top 4 QBs. They have one they really want and the only way to assure you get that one is to have the # 1 pick. Of course all this could just be another smokescreen.
  10. Brady is the system NE builds its offense around.
  11. He will only be "like Brady" when NE takes him in draft. Then the experts will see the "obvious comparison".
  12. Can we get him in the sixth round. Then he would be just like Brady.
  13. It's not like Bills outbid anyone for McCarron. I believe he was brought in to be a bridge QB. If it turned out he was really something, then I guess that would be a good problem to have. We don't know but that Peterman will beat out McCarron. If Bills don't move up, they might have the 5th - 7th projected best QB. I think that puts them in the same boat as what they have now on the roster. Time for FO to regroup and decide what their strategy will be after this turn of events.
  14. Quite possible that Bills had an offer in and Jets upped the ante. Beane said he wouldn't overpay for a QB. Jets were willing to go higher. Time will tell who made the wise decision. Colts definitely got a great deal.
  15. Glad he's back, thought he performed well when given the opportunity.
  16. When I look at Sportac, I see 26 million including 9.7 million for Draft. When I look at Sportac, I see 26 million remaining including 9.7 million for Draft. Plus some amount for above players. I would guess there is about 15 million left after signing those 3 since I believe Kyle's contract is 6 Million for 1 year. Just guessing other two contracts will be around 5 million this year.
  17. Lawson is solid but certainly not spectacular for a first round pick. I believe he will be better this year if DTs can hold their own. He will probably never be a double digit sack person but a 6-8 sack a year DE that is above average against the run with the potential to get better with experience. He is a little slow off the snap and I am amazed he isn't called for lining up in the neutral zone more. If he can progress to the point where he can apply more pressure on the QB, I think he will be a good solid, dependable DE for years to come.
  18. Because all four of the top QB prospects are a bit different from one another, I am sure Bills have their particular chosen one. If Browns take Barkley and the Giants don't feel they want to take a QB this year, they may be open to trade pick. If Bills have a deal with Colts for third pick, they could lose the QB they want as the jets or Broncos go all in and trade into the second spot. If I were the Bills, I would not want to take a chance that the QB I want is taken because I didn't get to the second spot. Of course they might get lucky and still get the QB they want, but would you really want to take that chance?
  19. Draft pick money already figured in the 37 million cap room.
  20. It all comes down to the physical if both sides want to make a deal. If the Bills believe the knee is good why not get Bradford. A healthy Bradford is a huge upgrade to the Bills QB position. Can still get the future franchise QB and sit him for 1 - 3 years.
  21. I don't believe the Bills would position themselves as they have to stand pat at 12 and potentially lose out on the top three QB prospects. I believe there is 1 or 2 QBs they covet and will move into position to get one of these 2. My guess is they will get in best position possible to get their guy. Anything less than position 2 is taking a chance. There are other teams that may feel the same way who are positioned higher in draft than Bills that might want to get to a position to get their guy. Having the #12 pick plus all the other possible trade picks gives Bills the opportunity to make an enticing offer that another team would be hard to match. ALL IN, as long as the Bills get the QB the FO believes is the future of the franchise.
  22. I think the Bills should consider bringing in Bradford and if his physical is good, give him a 2 - 3 year contract with some incentives if he can play X amount of games. He is the best FA QB out there if healthy. The downside is if he gets injured but that would be true with anyone they bring in. Recent reports say his knee is fine. Even last year, he just needed it cleaned up and by that I mean it wasn't an ACL. He was active during the playoffs and was the backup to Keenum.
  23. Can't see Bills moving up and paying that much for the fourth QB in this draft scenario unless it was Mayfield they wanted all along and just weren't able to swing the deal.
  24. One thing I have been amazed at for the last few years, and probably beyond, is that after reading all the info out there as to who the Bills will draft, I will end up totally surprised at what they end up doing, as in (didn't see that happening).
