  1. Really smart pick for a good football player. The only thing I don't like is that this board will be intolerable for the immediate future because he's not a QB. Nevermind we picked up a 1st and 3rd and still got one of the top corners. And get ready to see something you did not see in Buffalo last year: a DB who plays the ball in the air and willingly tackles.
  2. Quoting Sully at this point is like quoting Breitbart in ppp.....
  3. I don't know enough about the RB prospects in this draft to enter an opinion, but I would love it if we take a RB with the pick we got for Gillislee and he outproduces Gillislee.
  4. I would be willing to bet that a QB at 10 would have a similar rate of becoming a franchise QB as a second round QB historically. In reality, the best QBs are drafted in the first few picks, definitely before 10, and then the late gems. (wilson 3rd, brady 6th, etc...) My opinion is you draft a QB in the first 3 picks or you wait until later rounds. No need in wasting picks (like the jets) just drafting a qb yearly for the sake of it. OP wants to believe all you need is QB but that is only true with the Cheaters. Even Peyton Manning and Drew Brees needed significant help getting rings, and only did when they had defenses that were class of the league. Are you suggesting we will get a QB better than Manning or Brees at the tenth overall freakin pick?
  5. I don't want a two bit rb like Bluont. We are talking about a guy who colluded with the Pats to get himself released from PIT, so he could re-sign with NE. He can stay unemployed or sign with somebody else.
  6. Good point. I just don't want to find out Friday that we drafted the guy in question.
  7. Man I hate Kraft and want to trash him..... But this article (and writer) are garbage disposal sledge. Five seconds into this, you realize the obvious angry bias and propoganda style rhetoric. And his reasons for being fired... Holy crap read that tweet. And people say to me "hey Kev, why don't you use social media?"
  8. Yeah I feel guilty even using message boards... But social media really is the scourge of the nation right now. People cannot handle other opinions. If you look at many of the real problems we face, social media exacerbates nearly every one. I won't even get into privacy, and everyone willingly volunteering highly personL information, as well as leaving every facet of your life for eveeyone to see. I don't know anyone who would want to be held responsible for the worst thing they have ever said, so why create a "paper trail". I won't go on for days, though I could. It shocks me how complicit people are in they're own undoing.
  9. Yup. And in the end we signed a street FA and essentially traded him for a 5th. Don't get me wrong, I wanted to keep MG, but you don't negotiate with terrorists.
  10. It really is true, meathead. I hate to say it but it's true. They have the combo of great coach, great QB, and everyone else signs a $1 contract just to get rings. I ****ing hate it but as Johnny Cash sang "I don't like it but I guess things happen that way".
  11. http://forums.twobillsdrive.com/topic/192419-bills-tender-groy-and-gillislee-but-not-ik-or-schmidt/?do=findComment&comment=4271319 Skimming through the first 2 pages, there are at least 4 posts wishing we tendered him higher or worried someone else wouod sign him. That narrative continued with other threads that he would be "the next Hogan".
  12. There's not enough time in 6 hours a year to hate Brady, so it spills over to my regular life, especially when he manipulates a charity to benefit other rich folks. This is why folks should not give money to huge ambiguous charities, so little ends up actually getting to the specified cause (even in non-corrupt organizations). Like was mentioned above, give directly to st judes, or your local shelter, humane society, VA, etc. Then your money goes directly in.
  13. Just a day in the life of a Foxborough big shot. Brady learned well from Kraft and Bellycheat. If you don't like the rules, pay somebody to change them or cheat. Of course all of the Brady admirers (Bills "fans" too), will all join hands in a line to protect Brady just like they did with the slew or cheating scandals. They will get mighty sick of chanting "nothing to see here". Funny thing about that is if they say there is nothing to see, that means there almost definitely is something to see. Like when a used car lot is called "Honest Bob's", you can rest assured Bob is anything but honest; just like the serial cheater, evidence destroying Tom.
  14. There are options other than draft qb at 10 or wait until next year. Sorry some folks don't want to hear it's a weak class, but it is. That does not mean don't draft qb, it means don't overdraft a qb; and that means passing in round 1
  15. Add me to that list. Unfortunately this ranking is merely a reflection of TBN. First line of that little write-up tells you all you need to know: the author doesn't know jack about Buffalo, but picked up a TBN and went with it. Welcome to "journalism" in 2017. One person does an opinion piece built on a kernel of truth, and 50 million national writers paraphrase and call it news. I won't even get into TBN, but those writers are nuttier than a porta-potty at a peanut festival.
  16. Some excellent points here about TBN's role in creating the negativity surrounding our rebuild/tank. Buffalo is not a nationally popular market, so national writer just look at what the local hacks are churning out for direction. If this was a larger, more popular market, the natiinal guys would actually know about the team and have their own opinions (such as with toronto, as you mentioned, or with the Pens when they did it)
  17. I would not mind this. I think some of the pressers with Terry, Russ, and even Whaley have been successful. Also I like hearing from Kim, she is honest but diplomatic, and her presence is more disarming than anyone else inside the organization. Yeah as surprised as I was by TM being fired, I will not argue with getting your own people. They tried trusting someone else and clearly Terry wants his stamp on the next hire.
  18. Russ is good in front of a camera, but Terry catches so much **** from fans and media about his role, I doubt he wants to feed that fire.
  19. Remember the shoving match in Foxborough? The Kraft-run NFL must retaliate. Par for the course. It's almost not surprising anymore, but it always seems like they are trying (and succeeding) to f*** us. Such a massive disadvantage. Correction: Kraft owns the NFL.
  20. I love Terry, but he has a tough time articulating his thoughts, and as usual the media members are pushing his buttons and being negative. Their framing of questions and derogatory tone are ever present these days. Terry did have a good point, too. "Cleveland can rebuild but the Sabres tanked?"
  21. Looks brutal. Not a fan of MIA, NE, MIA in the final 3 with final two at Miami and at Foxborough. All we can hope is NE locks up the 1 seed before week 16 and sits Brady. If it's a game they need, week 16 in NE could be tough as hell. That's if we are even still in it at that point. Well how old are you? Reverse mortgage? Lol. They may actually cost you an arm and a leg.
  22. I think the thread title has a typo. It should read: Deshaun Watson a bargain in 3rd for Bills Forgive me if I don't want a top-100 prospect at 10. Rather have, you know, a top-10 prospect at 10.
  23. Man I was decimated when Keuchly we nt right before us. We probably would have passed though. I almost broke the TV when they passed up Orakpo for Maybin. Ugh... So I guess I'm with OP, just a normal, solid, nfl pick please. No flashy bs, no trading up to get a player in a crazy deep class, 1 year wonder, no injury prone/needing surgery, no bs 3rd round qb in rd 1. (Ej?!)
  24. Well said. Thug life = prison and early death. But at least this will save the taxpayers somewhere in the neighborhood of 2.5 million.
