Jerry Richardson? (Panthers owner)
Heavy Kevi replied to 4merper4mer's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Yes, of course. Vlad ducasse= massive clandestine conspiracy to undermine the Bills. I just don't get why, the Bills seem to be very effective at sucking without help. -
Just talked to a former player from the SB years
Heavy Kevi replied to major's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I don't disbelieve the OP's story or that a former player might think that. But at the same time I don't see how a former player (who isn't dealing with McD any more than we are), knows something we don't. Being his opinion is fine, but I just don't value anybodys opinion on the matter and am willing to let it play out. That's from someone who is very skeptical about the return we have gotten from recent trades (myself). Fact is, we don't know how it will turn out, but I respect the honest attempt at a legitimate rebuild. Too many half assed, win-kinda-now-but-still-rebuild years and need a real foundation if we want a build something big. Overzealous, cap cuffing, "big splash" signings are a thing of the past and that is refreshing. I am going to "trust the process", but I might mumble and groan along the way. -

You watch too many movies. Lol -
[closed]I was late for a meeting today
Heavy Kevi replied to Dragonborn10's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
So your argument is essentially "why did they disrespect him after he disrespected them?", and that since you are super duper important with a big paycheck too and got away with it, he should too? And if Marcell is aiming to be treated like an adult, perhaps he should begin to act like one. Exactly. They are saying with their actions "my time is more important than yours". Some people care about that stuff. It matters whether you do what you say you are going to do. -
You guys remember where you were
Heavy Kevi replied to Ice bowl 67's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Sometimes I wonder if you are sincerely a nice, albiet ignorant person... ...or pretending to be nice so you can sneek in jabs. I'm going with the latter, but I guess I won't rule out sheer ignorance, GBfan2010 -
Youse guys even suck at sucking
Heavy Kevi replied to Jimmy Spagnola's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Man, I love seeing a fan of another team that makes Bills fans look normal by comparison. Cheers, bro -
This is how epically bad we are.
Heavy Kevi replied to bobobonators's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I don't agree with this at all. They are switching to 4-3 because that's what McD and Frazier do. All the talk of fitting the system to our players is obviously not the case, if you are a square peg they will ship you to a team with square holes. -
Ragland traded to KC for 4th round 2019 pick
Heavy Kevi replied to MAJBobby's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
So trading away Darby, Watkins, and Ragland for significantly less than their value isn't a fire sale? Fore Sale - a selling of remaining goods or assets for a very low price. Don't try to paint me as some sort of alertist, Jesus Kellytough... -

Fire sale! -
I would be willing to bet McD lasts 3 years at the least, as a matter of fact I would all but guarantee 4 years. They wouldn't be so clearly building the future if they thought 2 years and done was a possibility. I get the impression Terry is ready to let McD's vision play out completely.

NFL suspends Vontaze Burfict 5 games (update: 3 games)
Heavy Kevi replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Usual suspects... ...Dirtiest player in the NFL, and that's saying something. Burfict no longer gets benefit of the doubt -
All good man. I know the pressure is building as the season approaches. People are passionate about their opinions, and that's fine. Quite frankly that's why we are here, at the land of misfit toys, only for fans too intense for the average football conversation. I just have a hard time believing people want to go 2-14. They want a Super Bowl, too, but think tanking is the way to get there. There is evidence of mixed results, mostly supporting the fact that tanking doesnt work, but I get the perspective. We lose 1 more game in 2003, we would have gotten Roethlisberger, and 1 more loss in 2010 gets us Cam Newton, etc. Do you remember/celebrate those wins, or would you rather have Ben or Cam? That's the thinking. I do understand your point of view though.

Nobody has advocated for players not trying hard. It's ludicrous to think players would do that in the first place. This team will lose because of lack of talent. It seems to me like you are emphatically not that different in the thinking of many. FO is not "tanking", they are proper rebuilding thinking about the long term as opposed to the "sell tickets now" approach. But to act like people who would have hope from a high pick are losers or havent played sports tells me a bit about you, too. My guess is you and I define "success" in life in grossly different manners. I'm sure our definitions of success in football are the same, but I guess I would rather bottom out because we can't keep supporting the farce that we can win this year, or pretend like 8 wins is some noble cause. It is always best to make moves for the future betterment rather than now unless you are actually close to being competitive. And of course the players we have will try like hell to win, I would not expect any less.

The Q.B. controversy is on
Heavy Kevi replied to Buffaloed in Pa's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I get what you are saying here, but think if Peterman were to start and show promise, there would be tons of hype and interest around him. Aside from the fact TT is in CP right now, he is a known quantity, and as Bills fan we will take hype over known quantities every time. Not saying it's right, but selling tickets wise, I think Peterman may actually do better at that, provided he continues to show at least flashes of promise. It's clear his quick, decisive throwing fits the WCO, and I was actually surprised at the velocity of some of his balls yesterday. Also, as mentioned before, this upcoming draft is a make or break one for us. It would behove us the know what we have at QB before commiting more picks to the position, especially since this year is a bust already. -
Marquise Goodwin is a Great Guy
Heavy Kevi replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Better that than a low talker... with man hands. -
Working hard and doing his best is admirable, and makes him a role model; but let's not confuse effort with results.....hmmm I think I've heard that somewhere before....

If Edelman is out for the year.... yayyyyy! Now the pats fall to a lowly 12-4 and only manage the conference chamionship. Sad day to be a Cheats fan. Meanwhile, in Buffalo, we will struggle to get to 6 wins, and just barely price ourselves out of the next great qb prospect. Even more yay. Vats of yay in fact.

Hopes vs expectations for tonight?
Heavy Kevi replied to EmotionallyUnstable's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Well that's pretty spot-on in my opinion. Same mat that took Kolb? Again, spot-on I wouod love to see QBs in a clean pocket, but they don't play for Dallas or NE, so......... If it makes it to the third, Macgregor can't win. He only wins with a KO in the first couple rounds, then he gets sloppy. Going to see the rope-a-dope until Conor becomes hittable. -
Let's not count out the Dolphins
Heavy Kevi replied to WhitewalkerInPhilly's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Lets not count out the Phins? We couldn't count out USC right now. -
I actually agree with you. Now, I realize he doesn't fit the system, but I think he fits the Quarterback. Tyrod is a "see it now throw it" guy, he does not throw with anticipation. Stevie is a "get open" guy, and that just might work if Tryod sees him open, particularly on broken plays. Now, is he the same guy at 31? I certainly don't know. But if he wants to play, why not give him a workout?

Blue Bills' Helmet: Thumbs Up or Down?

The Golden Age of Football is Over?
Heavy Kevi replied to hondo in seattle's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
MMA is massively safer than NFL and Boxing, it's not even close. A KO in MMA could happen 10 times in a boxing match, and the concussed fighter could still win. NFL has big time concussions and ligament/soft tissue damage. The vast majority of injuries in MMA are broken bones, noses, and cuts. Even though they get punched in the face alot, the damage pales in comparison to that of a boxer, and the longevity of the injuries are much shorter than NFL If Brady actually got hit, and wasn't bubble wrapped you may be able to actually make a comparison. Unfortunately Brady has an owner/commissioner and horde of zebras to his defense. Alive and well is different than the astronomical level it is at right now. It will level out with incessant wimpification of America. Can't argue with this. I love this argument. Blue collar folks take massive risks in many different industries, and at a fraction of a fraction of the money these players get. I have a relatively safe job (chef), and still I risk cuts and burns, work in a 120° kitchen, and run a chainsaw, axe, and wood splitter daily (for smoker and pizza oven), all for the glorious paycheck of a janitor or garbage man. I am not complaining at all, I would take my life over that of an athlete, but industry hazard is a legitimate thing. Tell HS football players (and they're parents quite frankly) that they will get 30 million over a 6 year career, but you will get several concussions, they will trip ovrr you to sign up. -
Well, that's not going to be a popular opinion.... but I tend to agree with you on most of it.

Blackout uniforms (concept, not real uniforms)
Heavy Kevi replied to Just Jack's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I'm sure some of the teams "blackouts" look really awesome... ...but not the Bills one. That looks bad.
