I actually agree with this. I think the playoff berth put McD and Beane in a comfortable enough position to continue the emphisis on the future. They will get their QB and fill as many holes with greenhorns as possible, and load up and surround him with skill players in year 2. It may take an awful lot of draft capital or cap space depending on if we go the Fa/trade route or the draft...

Right. And jags. Thats 3. We have 8 losses (including playoffs) That means we won 62.5% of "close games". Hardly all of them.

Keep an eye on quality control with the new era items. I got a hat that is messed up (manufacture defect) and now they cant send me another one because they have no more. Now I don't get a playoff hat because they didn't quality control well enough, or come anywhere near demand on all the hats. Kinda pathetic they are even charging me to ship it back. I don't think I will ever do business with them again.

McCoy doesn't make me excited, but Dennison gone would. Lesser of evils I guess. I just want a new OC that can work with a young QB. McCoy might be the guy, I just don't know him all that well.

Looking at it on TV looked 50/50 to me. The stadium cheered when Shady had the 40yd run (that was quickly called back). Kinda wish I could watch it again. I have all the reg season games on my DVR (for midsummer football cravings), but I was so pissed at the pathetic performance that I deleted it after the game.... Yeah... I deleted the Pats games, Jets primetime game, nd Carolina game too. At least I will have the Colts snow game to watch 85 times before next season starts.

What playoffs? The season ended Sunday at 4pm.

Not to mention the "bounce it" types have shorter careers. They have to get good at passing before they get slow, and then transition to a pocket passer later in their career (ie Vick, McNabb, etc). If you hit on a pocket passer, you've got a 8-15 year window to be competitive.

For real. Pocket passer pkease. The mobile QB fad has run it's course. We need someone that opposing teams don't want to "make a QB". I want one of the QBs that everyone says "we have to get him off his spot". Those are the best QBs.

The most exciting thing to me is the 9-7 with THIS roster. It wouldn't get us in every year, but breaking to drought was huge. If Beane manages to put together a respectable roster with a good/great QB, this could be a legit contender. Especially when Brady finally falls apart.

He def needs to find some hands in the offseason. Crazy that he was known for his hands in college. Or get some better gloves.

I think if they make it clear they will get a QB, thus is no longer a problem. They don't have to tip their hand, but everyone knows they have cap room and/or draft picks for whatever they want to do. Also, how would the OC have to build a WR corps? That's the coaches job, and really Benjamin should be a fantastic start if it's a rookie. Big ol' hands target that competes for the ball, like a faster TE that can run good routes. That said, keeping Rico around would not surprise me in the least, though I would welcome a change. The year you get a new QB is a great time to make the switch.

I don't agree with the OP at all. Now if they were to somehow get Cousins, a legit OC, an elite WR, a rookie QB, a dominant LB, and a pass rushing DE, the media would be talking about us maybe splitting with NE.

If he wants to play, I think he would restructure. He's not going to play somewhere else.

I don't know, but I think they will go after 1 big fish in FA/trade. If it's a QB, everything else will come from the draft.

I would def keep Zay, Borders, and Kyle. Some others too, you can't really turn over the whole roster.

I did notice that it never got loud in there. So quuet especially for a pkayoff game. Until the last 3 minjtes left or so, it was like a neutral site. Like you said, the Bills didn't give much to cheer about, but it's telling that there were so many Buff backers there the Jag fans couldn''t even get loud. More Bills jerseys there than the toronto games.
