-That moment when you completely misunderstand something and go bonkers for no reason- Pulled this from dictionary.com, thought you might be interested: sar·casm ˈsärˌkazəm/ noun the use of irony to mock or convey contempt. ----------- On topic: I don't have a problem with how much we pay Star (though it is high), my problem is how long the contract is.

Hypothetical: Browns take QBs at 1 and 4
Heavy Kevi replied to patneiler's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Somebody needs to make a "Dumb Threads" thread that mods can just move this stuff to. It's like half of the first page these days. Come on draft: put us out of our pre-draft misery. -
Pats not interested in QB only lookng to QB Block the Bills
Heavy Kevi replied to ddaryl's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
There is no chance the Pats block us from a QB. Yes they have 2 1st's and 2nd's but they are nowhere near as good aw our picks, and quite frankly any future picks involved have MUCH more value from us. If Beane wants a guy (or a pick), he has the ammo to beat any Pats offers. Would not surprise me if they want to create a bidding war -or the illusion of one- to cost us more capital. If NE trades up for a QB, it will be after we already picked one. -
Vontae Davis: No limitations heading into OTAs
Heavy Kevi replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
This is great news. A very under the radar pickup that could really be an impact player if he is anywhere near where he used to be. I hope he can stay healthy and be our CB#2. We were significantly worse when Gaines was out last year, so hopefully Davis "fits the bill". -
I would trade both of them for a party size bag of cool ranch doritos. An almost retired cheapshot artist from the cheats or a diva, dbag, coke-nosed me-firster..... No thanks
-
Actually I'm thinking 2. I believe the NYG QB interest is just to drive up the trade price, and they are waiting for competing ofters to leverage against us.
-
You are right. It takes two to tango. But everything has a price.
-
Screw all the other needs. If they have to overpay and make a Ricky Williams trade so be it. You can't hit a home run if you don't swing. If the QB works out nobody will care how much we gave up because he will be a 10 year starter. If the QB doesn't work out, at least Beane let his balls hang out and swung for the fences.

Moving up to #2 = No Playoffs for the next three years
Heavy Kevi replied to Domdab99's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I would argue that if the QB works out, it's a solution at the position for a decade. Then you spend the next couple offseasons surrounding him, and get that ever-elusive SB window before he gets the big money after his rookie deal. -
Who is your second favorite team?

Bills send staff to meet with QB Alex McGough
Heavy Kevi replied to DCOrange's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Well if you extrapolate that out.... -
Saw that article early this morning... Of course it's fake. Either that or the draft is 8 rounds now...

Yes I think you are right about week 10, but he said he wouldn't "step on the field" without a new deal. That would be 6 weeks of doing what he said he wouldn't That doesn't mean I believe he won't do it, as I don't trust anything he says, or just about any other player for that matter. I still don't think that gives him leverage. He's not worth what he wants, and just because somebody will pay him that doesn't mean it should be the Giants. Personally, you give an ultimatum, and you have exactly ZERO chance of getting what you want. Giants should not negotiate with terrorists. He entered a contract, and instead of being an entitled douchebag he should just live up to the document he signed. I wouldn't sign him anyway. Some people are just not mature enough to make decent decisions. I believe he fits that category.
-
I hate that they pushed the draft back to April. People enjoy cat videos?
-
That's fine... But he actually has little to no leverage. If he doesn't show up and play, he won't use up this year of the contract, still be under contract with NYG, and have wasted a year in his prime. It's like playing chicken with a freight train: it won't give up, flinch, or stop. You either give in or get run over.
-
If they fail to be able to move up, and the big 4 QBs are gone, I think trading down is the only good option.
-
I do like Star, but hate his contract. It was clever to make the biggest cap hit 2019, but I still hate that 5 year deal. The complaints about Murphy are pretty dumb, though; especially since the Bills game themselves an "opt-out" after every season. I really like the Murphy signing because the cieling is so high, amd we can just cut bait after 2018 if he doesn't bounce back from injury, or can't play well without the PEDs (like Merriman)....

Rumor: Trade up discussion with Giants
Heavy Kevi replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
If we get to 2, and I was GM, I would unplug the phone and celebrate. I would not entertain offers to move down. Who cares about the Jets. Let them do what they want, and we guarantee to get our top (or second) QB. We get Rosen or Darnold with no sweat or worry that they are gone. I wamt #2 badly, and I hipe this rumor comes to fruition. -
I'm not going to talk in circles with you, because clearly you are just looking to throw shade. Also, I have said Archie was a caricature meant to bring out the conversation. Everything Archie says is mocked and debunked by mostly his son-in-law.... He also trashes Germans, Irish, Italians, Swedish, Brits, and Polish like myself... You know, pretty much everyone. But I'm not here to defend a fuctional character. You called ME a racist. My final point is this... When you ascribe the term "racist" to something as innocuous as me not liking a prospect, you strip the term of it's meaning. Real racism and discrimination happen, but according to you not liking Jackson is tantamount to joining a kkk rally. Your argument does real damage to the conversation.
