  1. It's easier to give someone like Allen alot longer than EJ. EJ had no elite skills. Being that Allen is a height/weight/arm strength prototype, he will naturally get more time imo. Besides the mentions of Rosen's general douchebaggery, injuries were likely a big factor in why McBeane went with Allen. Even draft grade comparisons put his comp as Bradford.
  2. Besides attitude, availability. Like Mr. Big Puff he's oft suspended for substance abuse.
  3. Definitely... Unless he is EJ bad. With EJ you knew almost immediately.
  4. 100's of millions, nay... Billions of dollars... I don't feel bad for them. I'm hoping this thread is a joke, but coming from the architect of the "Orton WOF" thread I'm guessing it's sincere. These kids don't have to play football, you know it's their choice, right?
  5. Ron Swanson (Parks and Rec) ALF Daisy Duke (Dukes of Hazzard) H.M. Murdock (A-Team) Al Bundy (Married... With Children)
  6. Yeah I'm actually a bit worried NYG and DEN both take Qb's. Then if we don't get to 4 it's bad news bears. You never know, but it's a trade-happy and QB-happy league right now and this draft has a handful of them. It's going to be a frenzy whether those teams pick the QB's themselves, or trade the pick to another team that will.
  7. Only if it's a move-up but not a QB. Hell I might beeline for the server with a baseball bat. I don't even want to see this place if that happens.
  8. If this happens, well we are SOL... I would take a day 2 QB, pick players or trade back for picks next year, start AJM this year, and reset for a QB prospect early in the draft next year. I don't love it, but it's damage control. We can't just take a second-tier guy, if that means waiting another year then I suppose we would not have much of a choice.
  9. Or... ...trying to convince other gm's that he isn't desperate, so he doesn't have to give up 47 picks.
  10. I've got a bunch of pitchforks. We meet at the stadium at dawn.
  11. No joke. For 15 years I have been in the camp of wait for a qb to come to you. Pick where you get and take who's there. Not this year. I will lose it if they don't get one this year.
  12. Agreed. And an awesome celebration by a DT and an O-line. Classic!
  13. I wanted Bulaga Would not have been a whole lot better than CJ, but it's who I wanted. I thought we were goimg to draft Gronk, but thought it would have been a reach. I def did not want Clausen, and never quite understood why anyone did. Of course, Chan wanted his "waterbug'
  14. For real. Since in my opinion this represents best case scenario, I believe there is little to no chance it actually happens. It's like when you think for a few minutes what you would do if you won the powerball. It's fun, but ultimately a figment of you're imagination
  15. I just watched Schrager and Brandt on GMFB predict that "somehow, some way", Darnold will be a Buffalo Bill. I hope they are right, so I will jump on board with that prediction.
  16. I can see both sides of this one... The rookie wage scale has been quite the issue. I was very for it when it was instituted, as vets were being underpaid or cut so teams could sign rookies. I also attribute the increase in trading to the wage scale, since many teams wouldn't trade into the top 5 because they could not afford the pick. Rookie wage scale solved these problems, but caused others. Now the pendulum has swung back and FA's are massively overpaid causing many of the same problems the huge rookie contracts did. I'm not even sure what to do about it, but it does create a league where players can't wait to leave their teams and hit FA, because if you are even slightly above average at your position you are about to be the highest paid ever at the position. There needs to be a system that doesn't overpay rookies, but also does not incentivize team switching. The biggest contracts in the league should not be just because you got drafted early or fled your team.
  17. If somebody wants to bite on Ritchie, cool. Get what we can for him. He's not gonna play here anyway so a trade seems like a win-win, he gets to play, amd we get something for him. If not he can stay retired and lose a year of football because the Bills should absolutely not release his rights.
  18. I got a fever. And the only cure is more cowbell.
  19. $&+* NO! People need to start doing what they say they will do, and not sign their name to a contract if they don't plan on following through. I really liked Ritchie, but this is some complete 9 year old kid bull ****. Be a man and do what you promised to.
  20. Bryant is a dangerous deep weapon, but I don't think he's a "buy-in", trust the process kind of guy. McBeane have shown they value a particular kind of character.
  21. I don't know. I think if you use guys who are "Buffalo guys" they remain relevant. You don't want to hear about Spiller or Trent Edwards, but singing about guys like Kyle or Freddy is timeless.
  22. Haven't you been "done" with the Bills like a half dozen times by now?
  23. Awesome. I love how it's perfectly fitting to have the video start out with highlights of a game Buffalo didn't even play in, though of course it was our most important game. That's going to be one of those moment you (I) never forget... JFK, 9/11, and Dalton to Boyd. Going to go check out their other songs now, thanks OP for posting!
  24. I agree with OP. I really want to trade up, but I would rather give the extra 2 this year, even the extra 3; but don't want to mess with next years draft at all.
