Give me a break. I donated and I would give an ovation for Andy. I thanked Cincy fans... ... I just see that it's disingenuous to pretend it's righteous generosity. We got something, we said thanks. There would be no giving if we didn't get something first. I'm sorry the facts make you want to pray for me. I don't need to spin the story to feel good about myself, I live as happy a life as I can imagine, and the facts are good enough for me.

I hear you, but... Super Bowl would be way better. I also feel the collective 'kumbaya' here, and "caring about people outside of our tribe", but to play devil's advocate I will quote Sturgill Simpson "people only want to be you're friend when you got something they need". Where was all the Dalton love before that game? Nowhere. It didn't exist. Just like everything else we are selfish and only care because it benefitted us. It's great that the kids win and so much money went to charity (and now Roswell Park), but let's not write it as some noble magnanimity. We gave because we care- about ourselves above all else. It's the human condition. Not trying to piss in you're sweet and salty crunch berries, just calling them like I perceive them.

Well it's getting a vote in January for NY as well. They are drawing up the bill as we speak. https://www.nytimes.com/2018/07/13/nyregion/marijuana-new-york-cuomo-legalization.html It's about to be everywhere legally. Just in NY the study shows around 700 million in tax revenue yearly, as well as creating a whole new industry and a bunch of jobs and new businesses. As far as the "knowing what you are getting", knowing about weed you can tell alot by close look, feel, and smell. Is it wispy or is it dense? Smell like skunk or cat piss? Etc, etc... But by bringing it to the light (being legal), there is definitely a better understanding, experience, and confidence in what you are getting. Just like anything else it helps to be educated on the topic.

My thoughts exactly. If we already have a QB, it's time to get any big-time talent and get good before we have to pay Josh 40mil a year at the end of his contract (if he becomes what they think he can). That seems to be the closest thing to a "formula" for a chance at the SB. Unless you have a HOFer willing to play at a steep discount, the best way to get a SB window is to have a great team and an up-coming young QB on their rookie contract. This was true of Balt before Flacco got paid, GB before Rodgers got paid, Seattle before Wilson got paid, etc. Teams still have a good/great team once they pay the QB, but it's downhill from there generally because you can't have too many marquee players when paying a QB 30 mil...

That is soooo ugly. The wrong kind of retro.

SI's Andy Benoit: Buffalo Bills 2018 Season Preview
Heavy Kevi replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Even if there's only a 1% chance it happens, Josh does have a higher ceiling in my opinion. Let's leave college accolades out of NFL evals- they aren't relevant unless we want to bring back Tebow, Colt McCoy, or Vince Young. I know Josh had had troubles with accuracy (or at least comp%), but he is raw. Let's talk about Cam for a minute. Yes, broke rookie passing record- but never matched that 4000 mark again, and had 21/17 TD/INT. On top of that he has only topped 60% completion twice (career comp% 58.5%), and throws picks like crazy (career 158/94 TD/INT). While leading the Panthers, they have had 3 winning years and 4 losing years, good less than 50% of the time. Yes he got an MVP but is wildly inconsistent, and really is not even top-10 QBs in the league right now. Also, let's not pretend you have to be a great QB to get to a SB- I watched Kaep and Flacco in one. Though I know you don't want to lend him any credence- Josh is prototype size (much like Cam), but has a much stronger arm, and Josh is not a me-first d-bag. Everyone talks about how hard Josh works and studies, but with Cam you get an arrogant elitist who couldn't seem to stop stealing things in college. People don't like Cam. I'm not trying to slam him, but... Character wise he is miles behind Josh Arm strength wise he is behind Josh Which means IF (and it's a BIG if) Josh realizes his potential, he has a chance to be much better than the perrenially overrated Carolina QB at least as a thrower/QB though he will never be as good of a RB as Cam or TuhRod. -
Bills will start 2-0 if Allen is the Starter
Heavy Kevi replied to 17 Josh Allen's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
19-0! Melon Baller for MVP -
Awesome. I love this team right now. Coaching, attitude, players, very impressive. Now can we get episodes like 30 mins every day? I could watch just this and nothing else until September 9th.

Surprise surprise! A crusade thread. Btw yeah everybody was excited about EJ's preseason... But it's pretty obvious before it even started Allen is a better prospect, and now that it's underway it's pretty obvious Allen passes the "eye test" much better than EJ. I don't understand why people are so emotional about it quite frankly. Who cares if you were wrong about a prospect? Just be happy that there's a chance we have a franchuse QB.

Why Josh Allen’s greatness is not what the pundits like
Heavy Kevi replied to BisonMan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The pundits will pull a 180 if Allen turns out good. Right now they are doubling down on their predraft predictions. They want him to fail so they will be right. ...but he is so fun to watch they will jump on the bandwagon the very moment he proves he is for real. -
Who wins more games? Bills or Browns?
Heavy Kevi replied to Bfanlc's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Peterman has looked pretty good so far this preseason, despite his draft status or last years play. It's a new year, and where you were drafted no longer matters. If we can e v a l Josh on this preseason, so can we with Nate. -
Who wins more games? Bills or Browns?
Heavy Kevi replied to Bfanlc's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
With all that's up in the air about the upcoming season, I would put the over/under for BOTH teams at 7 wins. Their floor/ceiling with TuhRod - 4/8 Their floor/ceiling with Baker - 3/9 Our floor/ceiling with Peterman - 3/9 Our floor/ceiling with Allen - 4/10 Obviously I just made those numbers up. They have a better collection of talent at many positions, but we have the edge with coaching and experience (and just won 9 games last year to their none). At this point, my guess is that Allen is 1 win better than Peterman. -
Proof Josh Allen Is Ready [Perhaps Not 100% Scientific]
Heavy Kevi replied to Paulus's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Love this kid. Really hope he pans out. From what I've seen, Josh Allen is such a great fit here in Buffalo. He probably knows if he really is good, there will be a 6'5 3/4" bronze wearing 17 right outside the stadium. -
When did Jags fans become so anti-Bills?
Heavy Kevi replied to Roundybout's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
They are just a bit salty that we had a home game in their stadium in last years playoffs. I went over to the Jags board to tell them it was going to happen. Our team sucked that day, but our fans did what we do. We literally had some Jag fans afraid to go and get beat up by Bills fans. Classic. Let them hate us, it's a new era. -
Brady can't be the greatest because of the many*'s Plus I actually agree Peyton was more valuable. It was the Peyton Manning system, not just listen to hoodie and "do your job". The colts got the 1st overall pick when Manning went down, Pats went 11-5 with a scrub QB when Brady went down. Brady will always be in the conversation because of the titles, but he should be disgraced for cheating like Barry Bonds. People say it's overblown and a non-issue, but you don't destroy evidence unless you have something to hide. Up until that moment he had the benefit of the doubt.

Fun film review of Josh Allen vs. the Browns
Heavy Kevi replied to BisonMan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Ya he's def wrong a few times... I still found him entertaining. Clearly he is a Josh Allen fan boy, but I laughed out loud more than once. I've seen tons of breakdowns... But very few are as memorable as I found this one to be. -
Ridiculous penalty just called in Vikings game
Heavy Kevi replied to Pine Barrens Mafia's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Uhhhh.... What? Clean, beautiful sack, no helmet contact, no "unneccesary roughness", nothing. This would not shock me if that was Marsha taking the sack, but officials are making calls like that on regular guys now? Won't be long they will be flagging defenders for "intent". -
Fun film review of Josh Allen vs. the Browns
Heavy Kevi replied to BisonMan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Awesome... "If Josh Allen was on TV more often, my quality of life would be better" "He lets it go, then absolutely rips that mofo" "They say this guy is inaccurate, well then what the !@#$ was that?" Haha. Great video breakdown and the guy is freakin hilarious. -
Good Night / Bad Night - Pre Season game 2
Heavy Kevi replied to GunnerBill's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Yeah Edmunds looked reluctant- like he was running in quicksand. He has the size/speed but needs to be more decisive. The good news is there were a few flahes for Edmunds of when he would recognize a play early and was in position. Hopefully that bodes well for his potential when the game "slows down" for him. I will give him that the defense has not looked confused. Since he's wearing the green dot, that reflects positively. -
Time to end all-preseason games
Heavy Kevi replied to Dadonkadonk's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Yeah I guess I'm gonna tell you about timing and figuring out roster spots. Well not really. I don't like the idea of killing the pre-season, but I do like the idea that has been floated where two of them become regular season games. Preseason would start at the same time, but only last for 2 games. The regular season would start mid-August and be 18 games. Tack on a couple roster spots, a few more million for the cap, and a second slot for IR designated to return... Boom, everybody wins. They will never kill it completely because it will decrease the product on the field during regular season. -
Mahomes vs Allen deep ball
Heavy Kevi replied to Kingston Bills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
You don't really wonder that. It's not close and it's obvious. Allen has been naturally endowed with the ability to throw a football harder than just about anybody. Like has been mentioned before, it's like Fitz. He looks good early in the season, but putting everything you have into every throw takes it's toll and the second half of the season is a stinker because you are just beat down physically. -
Why is nobody discussing the offensive line?
Heavy Kevi replied to BigDingus's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The OL is def a problem, but... Like you said, he is alot more athletic/mobile than most give him credit for. He moves around pretty well (footwork isn't always pretty), but some of what we lost with Tyrods departure, Allen can make up for. Besides that, the thing I think gets most overlooked (and also evident on that TD), is how fast his release is. I saw on Soul and Science they said his release was faster than Brady. I didn't believe it. Now I do. Once he decides to throw the ball, it's GONE.
