Who wins more games? Bills or Browns?
Heavy Kevi replied to Bfanlc's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Peterman has looked pretty good so far this preseason, despite his draft status or last years play. It's a new year, and where you were drafted no longer matters. If we can e v a l Josh on this preseason, so can we with Nate. -
Who wins more games? Bills or Browns?
Heavy Kevi replied to Bfanlc's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
With all that's up in the air about the upcoming season, I would put the over/under for BOTH teams at 7 wins. Their floor/ceiling with TuhRod - 4/8 Their floor/ceiling with Baker - 3/9 Our floor/ceiling with Peterman - 3/9 Our floor/ceiling with Allen - 4/10 Obviously I just made those numbers up. They have a better collection of talent at many positions, but we have the edge with coaching and experience (and just won 9 games last year to their none). At this point, my guess is that Allen is 1 win better than Peterman. -
Proof Josh Allen Is Ready [Perhaps Not 100% Scientific]
Heavy Kevi replied to Paulus's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Love this kid. Really hope he pans out. From what I've seen, Josh Allen is such a great fit here in Buffalo. He probably knows if he really is good, there will be a 6'5 3/4" bronze wearing 17 right outside the stadium. -
When did Jags fans become so anti-Bills?
Heavy Kevi replied to Roundybout's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
They are just a bit salty that we had a home game in their stadium in last years playoffs. I went over to the Jags board to tell them it was going to happen. Our team sucked that day, but our fans did what we do. We literally had some Jag fans afraid to go and get beat up by Bills fans. Classic. Let them hate us, it's a new era. -
Brady can't be the greatest because of the many*'s Plus I actually agree Peyton was more valuable. It was the Peyton Manning system, not just listen to hoodie and "do your job". The colts got the 1st overall pick when Manning went down, Pats went 11-5 with a scrub QB when Brady went down. Brady will always be in the conversation because of the titles, but he should be disgraced for cheating like Barry Bonds. People say it's overblown and a non-issue, but you don't destroy evidence unless you have something to hide. Up until that moment he had the benefit of the doubt.

Fun film review of Josh Allen vs. the Browns
Heavy Kevi replied to BisonMan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Ya he's def wrong a few times... I still found him entertaining. Clearly he is a Josh Allen fan boy, but I laughed out loud more than once. I've seen tons of breakdowns... But very few are as memorable as I found this one to be. -
Ridiculous penalty just called in Vikings game
Heavy Kevi replied to Pine Barrens Mafia's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Uhhhh.... What? Clean, beautiful sack, no helmet contact, no "unneccesary roughness", nothing. This would not shock me if that was Marsha taking the sack, but officials are making calls like that on regular guys now? Won't be long they will be flagging defenders for "intent". -
Fun film review of Josh Allen vs. the Browns
Heavy Kevi replied to BisonMan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Awesome... "If Josh Allen was on TV more often, my quality of life would be better" "He lets it go, then absolutely rips that mofo" "They say this guy is inaccurate, well then what the !@#$ was that?" Haha. Great video breakdown and the guy is freakin hilarious. -
Good Night / Bad Night - Pre Season game 2
Heavy Kevi replied to GunnerBill's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Yeah Edmunds looked reluctant- like he was running in quicksand. He has the size/speed but needs to be more decisive. The good news is there were a few flahes for Edmunds of when he would recognize a play early and was in position. Hopefully that bodes well for his potential when the game "slows down" for him. I will give him that the defense has not looked confused. Since he's wearing the green dot, that reflects positively. -
Time to end all-preseason games
Heavy Kevi replied to Dadonkadonk's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Yeah I guess I'm gonna tell you about timing and figuring out roster spots. Well not really. I don't like the idea of killing the pre-season, but I do like the idea that has been floated where two of them become regular season games. Preseason would start at the same time, but only last for 2 games. The regular season would start mid-August and be 18 games. Tack on a couple roster spots, a few more million for the cap, and a second slot for IR designated to return... Boom, everybody wins. They will never kill it completely because it will decrease the product on the field during regular season. -
Mahomes vs Allen deep ball
Heavy Kevi replied to Kingston Bills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
You don't really wonder that. It's not close and it's obvious. Allen has been naturally endowed with the ability to throw a football harder than just about anybody. Like has been mentioned before, it's like Fitz. He looks good early in the season, but putting everything you have into every throw takes it's toll and the second half of the season is a stinker because you are just beat down physically. -
Why is nobody discussing the offensive line?
Heavy Kevi replied to BigDingus's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The OL is def a problem, but... Like you said, he is alot more athletic/mobile than most give him credit for. He moves around pretty well (footwork isn't always pretty), but some of what we lost with Tyrods departure, Allen can make up for. Besides that, the thing I think gets most overlooked (and also evident on that TD), is how fast his release is. I saw on Soul and Science they said his release was faster than Brady. I didn't believe it. Now I do. Once he decides to throw the ball, it's GONE. -
My house has a metal roof, and I installed it myself, as well as having used it on many structures before. Sure, you can hear the rain sometimes, but even on the flat-ish portion (only 20 degrees or so), I don't hear the rain unless it's extreme. This portion is 14 feet long lean-to off the back of the house, and has only 2x4 construction with r13 insulation and sheathed with drywall on the inside, and OSB/furring strips under the tin. In my opinion rain noise is not a real concern, and the attic would help- especially if insulated. If you are 61... You won't have to ever deal with a metal roof again. Durability is top-level and you don't lose shingles in a windstorm. That is my experience with 9 years on this roof that looks like it was installed yesterday. Everything I build now gets a metal roof, even after spending many younger years doing shingle roofs. I don't know if you are planning on doing it yourself, but metal is also significantly easier and quicker to install. The tar-coat washered self tap screws are a must for a good seal, and be sure to get all the proper trim/peak pieces. If you have many pitches or valleys, it can be more challenging and you will want to make full use of flashing and dripedge. Jmo. Good luck

Yes because condescension is so much more mature than disliking a region. How's the weather on that moral pedestal?
-
If he meant fans, I'll say people. I have been there dozens of times as a teen/early 20's. My experience is the people there truly do suck. And that accent... horrendous. As Joe Rogan says (he's from Boston) "it's not an accent, the Boston area is a large group of people who say most words wrong". Yes, you are right in a sense- it's the Pats, Bruins, Sox, Celtics, etc... But it's also everything else. If I had it my way, I would take a big-ass saw, cut the state at the border and kick it into the ocean.

If this is true we need somebody glued to him learning the system. If he's "that good", and all of the sudden WE have a high-end NFL offense, he'll be a HC before long. That's the sad truth in an NFL that gives coaches 45 minutes to succeed and then fires them.
-
Several reasons. It's not about this year with Josh, it's about the long term. I don't wonder if he's ready, I'm fairly sure he's not. I think he can gain something being a pro for a year and getting to know the offense before starting. Also, by starting AJM/NP obviously we could suck. This is not really bad... Get a high pick for skill players on offense. If the starting QB plays great and we do well, even better and maybe we are in a position like KC was with Smith, and could get something of value. Seems to me that 2 years from now, these moves would leave us in a better position, and I want to set up a "window" so they say, of relevance. We aren't going to the SB (or probably the playoffs) this year, so we should plan everything around being good in the next couple years and being able to keep that window open as long as possible.

Jalen Ramsey trash talking a lot of QB's
Heavy Kevi replied to Royale with Cheese's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Blah blah blah. He's mad because the QBs get more fanfare. And he's wrong/lied in that exerpt. Just a young dumb kid with millions who thinks he can up his profile by calling out guys who get the attention. Best corner in football or not, tons of more people know who Flacco, Ben, and probably Allen are than even know who Ramsey is. It's cool though, everyone loves rivalries and "bulletin board material". He has successfully raised the profile of his games against these QBs, similar to fighters hyping a fight. This kind of talk will get him more money provided he is good enough against these guys, as people just don't recognize non-skill position players unless they are controversial. It worked with Sherman, people thought he way better than he really was... And Ramsey is just following that formula. Get on sportscenter=get paid. -
The Woman’s Guide To Changing A Tire
Heavy Kevi replied to Just Jack's topic in Off the Wall Archives
So I guess I'm the only one with a floor jack, chocks, and a lug wrench in the back? On passenger cars those pack-jacks are pretty easy to use, though... Like really easy. But as stated above, everyone I know who doesn't want to get their hands dirty just spends the $50 on AAA. I do applaud any attempt to teach young people (man or woman) how to do anything for themselves. They may break out in hives or sneeze continuously, but they will develop a tolerance to work. Heck, they might even start to enjoy it. ? -
Bills preview on Good Morning Football
Heavy Kevi replied to RPbillsfan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I don't want a girl that watches sports. I will agree Kay is smokin', but I want to watch a game in peace. I would rather she acts like sports are the plague, and avoids them at all costs. Gotta have separate interests, and spend significant time apart- anything else is too much and cutting into sports time does not sound appealing at all. -
Name one thing you have never done that most people have
Heavy Kevi replied to Another Fan's topic in Off the Wall Archives
Yeah... I have been cooking for 18 years. When I started I was the only person in every kitchen who didn't smoke. Now, out of 38 employees, only 2 of them smoke. It's a complete 180, and I like it. At the first restaurant I cooked in, the chef/owner had a hole burnt through his CUTTING BOARD from putting out cigarette butts. Thank god that era is over. -

Heavy Kevi replied to Another Fan's topic in Off the Wall Archives
I just read that smoking among adults is at an all time low. If I remember correctly it's now just 16% of adults that smoke cigarettes regularly, down from over 50% in the 70's. Weed on the other hand, well it's probably the single largest factor in the tobacco decline besides the high taxes and advertising bans. -
