  1. There's no value in a trade right now. Doesn't mean it won't happen, but it would be a thin trade package. Makes more sense to me to play the season, and if he or Peterman do ok then trade them for something or someone of relative value next offseason. Let me also say NOTHING would surprise me at this point beyond the 8 or so guys that are unmovable.
  2. Ok, so I hit play on the video... They are sitting inches away from each other but are texting on their phones. We are doomed
  3. Yup thanks to the likes of Richard Sherman and Conor MacGregor and the like... Now you can talk ****, and everybody thinks you are better than you are, and you get PAID
  4. Yeah I'm not buying that... ...and since there is no proof either way, I'll stick to caution. Not saying a little pressure can ruin a guy, but if the OL is historically bad, anyone would get a little aprehensive when a DL or LB is in the backfield on every play before you can even make a 3 step drop. More than that... Honestly, why risk it?
  5. For real. Gotta look at the macro. Anyone focusing solely on this upcoming year when making that decision just isn't paying attention. No thanks to getting Josh killed in a year where we aren't real contenders anyway.
  6. His point, well, misses the point. It's not about this year, not about Peterman making the line better, or anything like that. It's about not ruining Josh. He's a fancy sports car and we shouldn't put him in there to plow the driveway.
  7. Hilarious. It was one of the worst OL performances I have ever witnessed, made those guys look like HOFers... It's going to be a long year in the Bills backfield. Bengals just keep getting paid by the Bills.
  8. I think anyone paying attention knows this has been a rebuild. Playoffs last year was a shocker for everyone. I'm still trustin' the process.
  9. I don't think our OL woes are going to do anything that resembles "miraculously go away". Shady is not good enough to be the only competent one out of 11 on offense, he will have even more negative runs. Not sure how a 30 year old RB is going to miraculously improve pass-pro either. People underrated Wood and Incogs. Everyone trashing Wood for the past couple years is getting their wish.
  10. Well, Don/Chad/Final Word... You didn't even make it a full page before being exposed this time. You won't be getting another 100 page thread full of pretend insider info. That is my prediction. At least it was entertaining the first time, this is just a poor attempt. It's pretty sad, man. Maybe hit up another board that isn't privy to your shenanigans and haberdashery.
  11. Give me a break. I donated and I would give an ovation for Andy. I thanked Cincy fans... ... I just see that it's disingenuous to pretend it's righteous generosity. We got something, we said thanks. There would be no giving if we didn't get something first. I'm sorry the facts make you want to pray for me. I don't need to spin the story to feel good about myself, I live as happy a life as I can imagine, and the facts are good enough for me.
  12. I hear you, but... Super Bowl would be way better. I also feel the collective 'kumbaya' here, and "caring about people outside of our tribe", but to play devil's advocate I will quote Sturgill Simpson "people only want to be you're friend when you got something they need". Where was all the Dalton love before that game? Nowhere. It didn't exist. Just like everything else we are selfish and only care because it benefitted us. It's great that the kids win and so much money went to charity (and now Roswell Park), but let's not write it as some noble magnanimity. We gave because we care- about ourselves above all else. It's the human condition. Not trying to piss in you're sweet and salty crunch berries, just calling them like I perceive them.
  13. Exactly. We knew EJ would suck and we just prayed for a miracle. With Josh the potential is palpable.
  14. Well it's getting a vote in January for NY as well. They are drawing up the bill as we speak. https://www.nytimes.com/2018/07/13/nyregion/marijuana-new-york-cuomo-legalization.html It's about to be everywhere legally. Just in NY the study shows around 700 million in tax revenue yearly, as well as creating a whole new industry and a bunch of jobs and new businesses. As far as the "knowing what you are getting", knowing about weed you can tell alot by close look, feel, and smell. Is it wispy or is it dense? Smell like skunk or cat piss? Etc, etc... But by bringing it to the light (being legal), there is definitely a better understanding, experience, and confidence in what you are getting. Just like anything else it helps to be educated on the topic.
  15. My thoughts exactly. If we already have a QB, it's time to get any big-time talent and get good before we have to pay Josh 40mil a year at the end of his contract (if he becomes what they think he can). That seems to be the closest thing to a "formula" for a chance at the SB. Unless you have a HOFer willing to play at a steep discount, the best way to get a SB window is to have a great team and an up-coming young QB on their rookie contract. This was true of Balt before Flacco got paid, GB before Rodgers got paid, Seattle before Wilson got paid, etc. Teams still have a good/great team once they pay the QB, but it's downhill from there generally because you can't have too many marquee players when paying a QB 30 mil...
  16. That is soooo ugly. The wrong kind of retro.
  17. Even if there's only a 1% chance it happens, Josh does have a higher ceiling in my opinion. Let's leave college accolades out of NFL evals- they aren't relevant unless we want to bring back Tebow, Colt McCoy, or Vince Young. I know Josh had had troubles with accuracy (or at least comp%), but he is raw. Let's talk about Cam for a minute. Yes, broke rookie passing record- but never matched that 4000 mark again, and had 21/17 TD/INT. On top of that he has only topped 60% completion twice (career comp% 58.5%), and throws picks like crazy (career 158/94 TD/INT). While leading the Panthers, they have had 3 winning years and 4 losing years, good less than 50% of the time. Yes he got an MVP but is wildly inconsistent, and really is not even top-10 QBs in the league right now. Also, let's not pretend you have to be a great QB to get to a SB- I watched Kaep and Flacco in one. Though I know you don't want to lend him any credence- Josh is prototype size (much like Cam), but has a much stronger arm, and Josh is not a me-first d-bag. Everyone talks about how hard Josh works and studies, but with Cam you get an arrogant elitist who couldn't seem to stop stealing things in college. People don't like Cam. I'm not trying to slam him, but... Character wise he is miles behind Josh Arm strength wise he is behind Josh Which means IF (and it's a BIG if) Josh realizes his potential, he has a chance to be much better than the perrenially overrated Carolina QB at least as a thrower/QB though he will never be as good of a RB as Cam or TuhRod.
  18. Awesome. I love this team right now. Coaching, attitude, players, very impressive. Now can we get episodes like 30 mins every day? I could watch just this and nothing else until September 9th.
  19. Very intereting..... Well, not really. I think AJ just about took himself out of the competition Friday night before he got "hurt".
  20. Surprise surprise! A crusade thread. Btw yeah everybody was excited about EJ's preseason... But it's pretty obvious before it even started Allen is a better prospect, and now that it's underway it's pretty obvious Allen passes the "eye test" much better than EJ. I don't understand why people are so emotional about it quite frankly. Who cares if you were wrong about a prospect? Just be happy that there's a chance we have a franchuse QB.
  21. The pundits will pull a 180 if Allen turns out good. Right now they are doubling down on their predraft predictions. They want him to fail so they will be right. ...but he is so fun to watch they will jump on the bandwagon the very moment he proves he is for real.
