  1. We live a very different life, brother. I swear more than I should and don't even realize it, because most places and situations I find myself in are full of it. I have an aversion to places that I can't relax enough to speak plainly. To add to that, I not have spent much time trying to purposefully not offend someone (I don't generally go out of my way to try and offend people either). I live MY life, and as I often say, "if you don't like it, find a comfortable distance". Not aggressively really, just plainly- someone else's feelings are not my responsibility. I have been told this makes me "cold" or "aloof" (or other expletives) but it works for me. Just as a general question- what do you do? I have never met a workplace that isn't at least R-rated, and often times are like a Rob Zombie movie- we would have to clean it up to get an R rating.
  2. Country? Could have fooled me. But PSE is killing it right now. Production quality is unlike anything we have ever seen come out of the organization.
  3. A's across the board. They may not have had championships in their short tenure, but they are clearly doing everything they can to succeed. They continue to attempt to put the right people in place, and let them do their job- without getting in the way. Once they find the right people (and maybe they have in some cases), it will eventually work. Drought over, Sabres have probably the NHL's best prospect pool. From another standpoint, their contributions to Buffalo cannot be understated. They are the only type of owners that can undoubtedly fill the shoes of Ralph Wilson, and may turn out to provide more production to boot.
  4. Yeah, but... I don't think it's a knock on Beane "down the road". Certainly this year. I believe he purposefully did not address the line because he wanted to see if the young guys can produce. I'm not saying it works, but I believe if they suck (as projected), it will be his #1 concern next offseason, which is why I don't think it's a "long term" problem, or something that will drive the narrative on Beane down the road. That said, I am as frustrated as you are that we have basically no offensive line, but you can't blame him for making QB the priority this year.
  5. -Cheating -Murder -Suspensions In a nutshell! Brutal.... I like it.
  6. 14/22, 231yds, 1TD, 2INT Bills lose a surprisingly close one 24-23
  7. I bet. I got 9-7 without much trouble, but if the Jets or Phins are suddenly good there could be a swing there. If we win more than 1 of the first 4, maybe we do better? Sounds crazy maybe I'm still on a koolaid hangover.
  8. IK should have been a boxer, because all he's known for is punching people.
  9. Exactly, if you have a QB competition and one of the QB clearly outplays the other two, you have to start him. Otherwise it was never a real competition and Josh should have gotten all the 1st team reps the whole time. I'm pulling for Nate. His quick throws will definitely lead to INT's, no doubt about that; but we may be able to move the ball better with him.
  10. 1 General for Kevin 3 of us, but just 1 pickup truck.... Can't wait. You guys will have to heckle my buddy since he's a Charger fan.
  11. I hope you are right. We really need a good punter, Schmidt has been bad. Even more than the punter, I would like it to see Beane and co. manifest verifiable competence.
  12. Idk, I could see them carrying 4TE. If the OL is going to be the weakness of weaknesses, throwing extra TE's in there to block will probably be commonplace, and Thomas and Clay are likely to line up wide sometimes. Not saying it will happen but it seems reasonable to me... As far as WR goes I don't even want to make a shot in the dark, though I sense McCloud will get plenty of chances. Alot of this starts at the top (QB). Who starts I think will drive decisions as well. If Josh does start, I could see alot more of the younger guys at WR and TE so he can get chemistry with them (assuming that starting Josh is tantamount to punting this season). If Nate starts it will probably be more vets like Holmes and maybe leavimg 1 or 2 TEs inactive. I realize that doesn't entirely answer the OP, but that's what I think.
  13. There are arguments on both sides. He has done "fine" so far be my definition. For the sake of continuity, if it was my decision, I would leave Beane and McDermott in their post for 5 years. At the end of that time, re-evaluate and change if neccesary. The NFL seems to run in 2 year coaching/GM cycles nowadays, but then nobody ever really gets to implement their full system with players who are a fit. I would like to see it be more routine to keep coaches around for much longer, so long as they show promise (as McD and Beane obviously have). For these reasons, I contend that any attempts to fire Beane OR McD now would be nothing short of foolhardy.
  14. Yeah that is my thought process. I think Shady's big games are past him as well. My real concern is that there is NO trade market at all for 30+ RBs on decline. But I was wrong about AJM being tradable, so maybe Shady gets moved.
  15. Not back-tracking. It's not about me "being behind", I just provided commentary as any crowd laughs when something funny happens. I read your post and it was hilarious. You can parse it out to try and defend it, it doesn't change the comic gold that you provided with that post!
  16. No need to get defensive, but it's freakin hilarious when you acted like people were stupid for thinking what happened would happen. Just quoting when you said AJ "doesn't add value" to the Raiders.... The exact team he got traded to. So apparently they did value him. Not in a Mack trade, but so what. Still funny. But, you know, carry on freaking out trying to prove that you are vindicated on something that doesn't matter to a bunch of folks you don't even know and will probably never meet.
  17. Not sure if you are serious, but I would be ok with this. Shady will be long gone before (if) we are relevant again.
  18. Peterman... ...until we are out of playoff contention, then Josh the rest of the way.
  19. Man he is so talented... but definiyely NOT a process guy. We are desperate at WR though so I wonder at what point McD starts to think he can handle a diva or two. I hope it's not now, but I could justify it if it happens.
  20. That is the first thing that jumped out at me. Haha great. That 200 something page thread of his was top notch trollery.
  21. So this thread is because he didn't give up 2 1st's for Mack? I mean, I know it is even though his name isn't even in this thread. Idk how Beane will be remembered, but right now all the balls are up in the air, amd we need them to fall to see what we have. The book is not ywt written on him. And for the record, Whaley's Watkins trade was far worse than Beane's Watkin's trade.
  22. Ramsey is quickly putting himself in the "boy who cried wolf" category. People are going to stop listening.
  23. What a gut punch that would be, after waiting all this time for him to retire. Plus I want to beat up on them for awhile once the pendulum swings back.
  24. https://articles-newyorkupstate-com.cdn.ampproject.org/v/s/articles.newyorkupstate.com/buffalo-bills/index.ssf/2018/08/pizza_hut_official_pizza_of_the_nfl_places_buffalo_bills_in_wrong_division.amp?amp_js_v=a2&amp_gsa=1#amp_tf=From %1%24s So, as part of the new sponsorship after Papa Johns fallout, Pizza Hut put out this box... The article says it was a mistake, but I can't help but wonder if it could possibly be a joke by someone, only because of the team they switched us with- Cincy Is it crazy to think this might be a joke/prank at the Bills or Bengals expense? Pretty funny if so.
