  1. We are in a much better situation at half than I would have guessed. If we could just freakin' score...
  2. Worst part about watching the Pats* games besides losing is hearing the announcers suck Marsha's dick for 3 hours.
  3. He could have, he was always in position, but didn't try because he didn't want to risk getting hurt playing for us; until he could get out of his rookie contract and go to a team he wanted to play for.
  4. Since this is PPP, I reject your Hank nomination and substitute one of my own:
  5. My thoughts exactly. Steer clear of heavy fumblers, especially ones listed at WR that are 5'7".
  6. Look at the Sabres. After the two recent comebacks that's all you hear from the players. They say something to the effect of "last years team", or "before we would have went into our shells", but that this year they keep fighting and don't change their game or get dejected when they are down on the scoreboard. It's players like Eich registering 5 hits, a 300 year old Pommer with 2 goals, it's most importantly players not wanting to let down their teammates. They believe in themselves and their team, and don't give up, look for a way out, or (to use an mma reference) tap to strikes. I believe this is the type of "culture" we are looking for, and it has been a factor in many a successful team across all sports. You have to be there mentally to even scratch the surface of your own skillset. The Bills need to get there, but it will take time. If we manage to build a semi-coherent team with a few young stars, they will start to believe in each other, but that can be fostered from the top (HC) as well, and that is what McD is trying to do. Instead of looking for the magic scenario when the players do it themselves (guys like Peyton and Ray Lewis come to mind), McD is attempting to make it a "Bills" thing rather than the mark of olny one particular years' squad. I, for one; hope it works. We have seen glimpses of it in games like Minny. When we don't have it, we are just our collective talent (not great right now) and get smoked by the Colts, but when the attitude, the culture is right we can topple a great team like that even with this ragtag group of guys.
  7. Yeah, I think alot of people are operating on the assumption that McBeane's collective seats are getting hot and need to put something together fast. I reject this thinking for 2 reasons: 1. Playoffs. We made it last year and I believe it bought McD AT LEAST 3 more years 2. Pegulas. They were patient on a long, drawn-out rebuild with the Sabres and it is showing signs that it may have worked. Now I believe they are more prone to 'let it play out' with McBeane and no longer want to mortgage the future for instant gratification (that doesn't work anyway).
  8. I don't expect them to have it all buttoned-up next season. I expect something to the effect of: -Making a trade for a relatively highly paid proven vet. Probably not elite, but a definite proven quantity at starter -Hand out 1 or 2 semi-large contracts in FA, hopefully proven quantities as well -Draft whoever we can given the remaining holes -Stay near the cap floor (or at least nowhere near the cap limit), and carry that extra money into 2020 to fill out the team with another round of FA and another draft (plus you know Beane will be active with the trades).
  9. I'll give a D for effort, but this OP troll job just isn't believable. Shady landed directly on his head and everyone saw it, he was subsequently treated by an independent Doc who then made the call that he cannot play. Gug you could take some lessons in high-level trolling from BBF........
  10. I can see where OP is going, and actually can see a path to victory if the D shows up to play and holds them to 22ish points or less. I think Anderson could be downright serviceable with some more practice, and I just don't think it's as impossible as everyone thinks to get the W.
  11. 23-17 BILLS Bills win behind a fired up defense with Anderson throwing a TD and Hausch-money putting 3 through the uprights.
  12. You know it's bad when a team formally complains to the league for unfair scheduling (as we did a few years back) I do think we get the ***** end of the stick often, but it's also hard to believe there's some grand conspiracy to screw over one of the already most futile franchises in history. Probably more likely they are trying to prop up the league fav Pats by giving them a mulligan on national TV. We are just the victim, in the wrong place at the wrong time because nobody cared enough to stump for our interests.
  13. My god. It's so sad that this is a real debate. We are actually talking about "Pick 6" Peterman starting again, and it isn't even preposterous given the circumstances. Still, Anderson had good moments and imo represents the best chance at scoring points in the immediate future.
  14. All part of the plan. Perfect really. Play opossum against the Colts and then strike when the Pats least expect it. And an extra day to plan. Oh boy, look out Patsies! ?
  15. I agree with OP... Too many hot days, and then immediately chilly. Leaves shmeaves, I just want the good weather. Where is my 60° season? I love the winter, too; but man the fall is when I get stuff done. Guess I'll be doing it in a Carhartt this year.
  16. UCL?! Oh no.... Well I guess this is why I didn't want him playing behind this line. But you can't leave Peterman out there, can you? CAN YOU?
  17. If the Dems win in November this year, it's not going to matter who runs on the D ticket, Trump will be re-elected. That said, they better come with someone besides Booker, Harris, Avenatti, Warren, or Clinton if they plan on giving Trump a real run. The only name I have heard given serious consideration that I believe could win is Biden. Biden could successfully debate Trump, not so much for the others. Or somebody we have never heard of, to come out of the blue. All the people I mentioned above would just lord-of-the-flies themselves in a primary. Booker is just unispiring and too choreographed and nobody is taking Harris seriously (nor should they). Warren ended it today with stating she is, in fact, native American even though she is half as native American as the average joe, Avenatti is down for the count after fake accuser Sweatnick, and Clinton is DONE. Like done done. She would not have abandoned he "nice" facade otherwise. Also, nobody mobilizes the republican base like Hillary; see election in 2016. If I was a democrat, I would be hoping for someone who could transcend the swamp, the obstruction, the impeachment nonsense, and focus on real governance instead of drama, branding, and scare tactics. These things worked for Trump because that's his brand, and he ran in the dispassionate R party. The dems will lose credibility and status as the self appointed "good guys" if they nominate someone like that.
  18. If there is a good reason, I sure as hell can't figure out what it is.
  19. He's playing injured, so he doesn't stay out there many plays consecutively. Also, Ivory gets goalline looks. The O-line still stinks. And he's getting old. Despite people saying he doesn't show it, I believe he does show it. Just a couple weeks ago he had a 'great' week- 85 yards rushing on 24att for a 3.5avg. That's not a bad game, but that's not a great game by Shady standards.
  20. I voted DA just in case McD reads the board maybe he'll be swayed... I don't care if Anderson doesn't know the playbook, I don't care that he just got here, I just really don't want to see Peterman... like ever again. So just put DA in there, he can hand it off to Shady and Ivory. We are already going to win or lose on the defense, so long as the offense doesn't give away gift-wrapped pick 6's, we have a chance against Indy.
