  1. It is true, but not unprecedented. Same thing happened with Rex. As far as Josh goes, I did the same 180, but it was just the day before the draft. I was a bit enamored with his 5 mile throws at the combine already, but when somebody dug up his old tweet the day before it told me somebody wanted to kill his draft stock. Which to me said some team is trying to make him fall to them. That's when I said "you know what, lets get this guy" These days I am downright ecstatic and I am really happy we have him. Obviously he has a ways to go, but you can't help but love his fire, passon, work ethic, and leadership so far in his short time in Buffalo. He seems to really understand the city and realizes the opportu ity before him. I believe he has that "it" factor that is so hard to define, that we haven't seen since I was in gradeschool.
  2. Holy freakin crap we beat the pack? I mean I believe we are the finest fan base out there, but perception is generally GB is best. The tides are a changin'. I think the Dalton donations are warming the world up to us. That, or it's just tons of Bills fans bum rushing the poll.
  3. Yeah I want some huge pass catchers, be it at WR or TE... Brown and Beasley are fine, but we need a prototype "hood ornament" type reciever. Then pass rush.
  4. I truly believe they are safe for a minimum of 2 more years. I just think the Pegs believe they found their guys, and making the playoffs bought them some time off the hot seat. McBeane will get a chance to fully realize their collective vision. That's not my choice, just my gut feeling (though it also happens to be my choice).
  5. Facing sexual assault charges in Ireland, but that's just the excuse. He's getting out of fighting before everyone realizes he's the most overrated fighter of all time, and managed to go his whole career (in mma) without fighting really anyone of consequence, and existing almost solely on hype. Nobody has made more money for less in mma. Seriousoy look at his fights. A 15 or something second fight with Aldo and then a bunch of filler. https://m.sherdog.com/fighter/record/Conor-McGregor-29688 I bet even the seasoned mma watchers (myself included) don't recognize the names past page 1, and page 1 is a who's who of mediocre ufc fighters. I'm just sad we won't get to see him exposed. He has been so protected for years we will never see his version of the Holly Holm headkick (end to hype machine Rousey).
  6. Nice breakdown from a neutral observer. Favorites parts: Josh started as a backup to Peterman "until Peterman played like, well... Peterman" "Kelvin Benjamin AKA the Michelin man" Lmfao ?
  7. Perfect. They had me at 'mean streak'. I'm no draft/scouting expert, but I also like the sound of "unheralded" until you "turn on the tape". The following line is all I've ever wanted out of a football player: "He plays as if he hates anyone in an opposing jersey and will punish them through the whistle. "
  8. I tend to agree. I watched the video, and he made some good points, and perhaps he is the next megatron... But I see a guy with "concentration" problems, doesn't have great hands, and who never cracked 1000yds (less than 600 on 26 catches last year) in college. The guy in the vid makes a case for DK because of the bad system and QB, but their leading reciever (Brown) had 85 catches for over 1300yds. DK was the THIRD most productive reciever on his own team. That scares the ***** out of me.
  9. Without really looking at the differential in numbers... Objectively we went from 1 "above average" starter to now 3 "above average" starters. Seems like a sizable difference to me.
  10. So this seems like just a fake source. Can't find it anywhere real. So.... A very misleading thread title.
  11. For real. It's like a frickin' magic eye
  12. Not surprised. Not even sure why I wanted him all of the sudden, but glad the saga (which didn't even make it to the actual start of FA) is over.
  13. Definitely in quantity. I'll reserve judgement on quality to once the signing is done, but I like alot of what is happening... Most notably handing out cash while still not negatively impacting the cap in the future. Smart.
  14. I still disagree. You telling me I'm wrong as if you are an authority doesn't change anything. I say things like "I believe", and I "agree" or "disagree". You don't, you present your opinion as if they were facts, because you actually think you just know more than everyone else, with an unearned bravado that reminds me of Rex.
  15. Totally agree that's why their GM is doing it. Whaley did the same thing and it fricked us real good. Completely disagree with everything else... I don't want the Bills to act like this, mostly because you set up this "window" of a couple years before being in cap hell and it has to work. Often times it takes QBs longer to develop, and then they have to endure the several years of getting back on the right side of the cap. We just went through the ramifications of bad cap management, and it's worse on the backside than it was good up front. Lest we forget we had to field a team last year with just 70% of the cap. Furthermore, I do not agree McD or Beane will be on the hotseat regardless of this upcoming seasons outcome. I believe they will be allowed to realize their vision and develop Josh.
  16. Shady McCoy and Frank Gore! 8-10 years ago it would have been the best RB duo ever. But it's 2019. Good thing we got doctors.
  17. Right now it's Tyrod. I'm really hoping that in the end it's drafting Josh, though. It's actually pretty close right now. Even if Josh doesn't work out, it was the right thing to do.

  19. Time is not on his side. It worked for Cousins because he was young enough, played his contract out and then forced FA. Brown can't "force" FA that way for another 3 or 4 years, and by then his kids will be shopping for nursing homes.
  20. 50 stars out of 5 The Bills win the mother freakin' Super Bowl. So... yeah. And you even get a cameo from the (then current) Bills starting lineup. The acting leaves alot to be desired, but the ends justify the means.
  21. https://www.buffalobills.com/news/how-recent-history-for-young-quarterbacks-looks-favorably-for-josh-allen-enterin This is a Chris Brown article from BuffaloBills.com. Very interesting read: It was evident to anyone who watched the second half of Josh Allen’s rookie season. The quarterback has the ability to take over a game. Allen made a good first impression on a lot of people in 2018, including those who professionally evaluate performances on a weekly basis. So what should be expected from Josh Allen in his second NFL season? “I think he’s going to be a great player,” said Sirius XM NFL Radio host Pat Kirwan. “His athleticism, we all knew he had it, but watching him this is rare athletic skill. His ability to give himself a chance to win games with the way he works around the pocket. He can do so many things that a lot of quarterbacks can’t do just to get himself open to extend plays and throw the ball.“You get him the right set of receivers, look out. I think he’s going to take a quantum leap in year two.” Recent history has shown that most quarterbacks who see significant action in their rookie season advance their team’s fortunes in their second season under center. Nine out of 11 current NFL quarterbacks, who started at least seven games as a rookie, helped raised their team’s won-loss record by an average of three wins (see chart). Six of those quarterbacks helped their team post a winning record after being under .500 the season prior. Among those signal callers are Mitchell Trubisky, who led the Chicago Bears to the NFC North title and a home Wild Card playoff game just this past season, and Jared Goff, who helped the L.A. Rams win the NFC West title in 2017. And three of those 11 quarterbacks helped their teams to Super Bowl titles in Ben Roethlisberger (2005), Russell Wilson (2013) and Carson Wentz, who was putting together an MVP type season in 2017, before Nick Foles finished it off in Super Bowl XLII. I think that we’ve just got to keep grinding it out and really improving in all the stuff that we can.”“He’s not arrived by any means, but I know who he is and he is not complacent,” said Beane of Allen. “This guy is competitive. He wants to get better. He wants to be the best at his craft. He’s got a really good plan. We talked to a lot of the young guys and Josh has a really good plan for the offseason to come back here bigger, stronger, faster and mentally even stronger.” That’s why Beane is determined to equip Allen with the tools he needs to lift the Buffalo offense that languished near the bottom of the league in total yards, passing and scoring to a level that can help them pull their weight. Coupled with a top five defense, year two for Allen could mirror some of his NFL predecessors when it comes to team improvement. “He has huge upside,” said former NFL quarterback Jim Miller. “His arm strength is ridiculous. He puts some serious sauce on that ball. If he just hones in and gets his footwork all worked out, man he’s going to be a good one. He’s tough and extremely athletic. He can do things that no quarterback in this league can do."
  22. I love Zubaz. I am a chef amd wear the very similar baggy chef pants. You really can't beat it'a comfort factor. My problem with Zubaz came when I put the lift kit on my truck. Now I rip out crotches of pants like you would not believe, and zubaz have been the number one victim. So my Zubaz are all dead and I currently own 0 pairs. Maybe someday I'll get a car or stop driving on gameday, but until then the zubaz are gone.
