I LOVE this. Not just because he's saying good things about Josh, but McShay admitted on live tv that he doesn't do his job. And having that radar just miss you every sweep is a satisfying comfort. The element of surprise is in our favor. And 6 weeks into the season they will all be saying Josh is good "all of the sudden" or "out of nowhere". Kiper was right that the players would run through a wall for Josh, and they aren't the only ones, especially if that wall's name is Todd.

Josh clearly struggles with regulating his power at times. It's like trying to shoot a bazooka at a bumblebee. My guess on the slants is he's afraid to overthrow over the middle and gift wrap an INT.

I believe we will have McD and Beane here through 2021 at a minimum. Playoffs sealed it. Unless the wheels come completely off and we have two 4 win seasons.

I now understand why the Bills passed on DK Metcalf
Heavy Kevi replied to HOUSE's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I wanted Metcalf, and would have been happy with him in rd2, especially without trading up. I have always understood he has a high "bust factor", but his ceiling is just so freakin' high. Because of his size/speed, if he could clean up his release and work on catching with his hands he has a chance to be top 3 in the league. I know it's a long shot, but he seems like the WR version of Allen. At this point, I understand Beane's route, and am ok with who he drafted. He does know worlds more than I do when it comes to football, but I'd be lying if I said I wasn't at least a little worried about DK becoming a marquee player that we passed on. -
Predict the OL for week 1 of reg season
Heavy Kevi replied to GreggTX's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I have no idea. There are too many guys I don't know that well. But wasn't the idea of Dawkins at LT that he was really good at LT but sucked at RT? (Unless that was Cordy?) Then I would say Dion stays at LT, and he's obviously not getting benched. I see LT and C as the only truly projectable starters. -
Let it roll any carry over to next year. Then we can have another FA run next year, and stagger the contracts so everybody isn't due at the same time. Not saying we can't sign anyone else right now, but let's not allow it to burn holes in our collective pocket.

Buffalo Bills Confirmed UDFA Signing. (2 Left)
Heavy Kevi replied to MAJBobby's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Thanks to MajBobby for updating this! Cheers, brother. ? -
I thought since we signed two pygmy WRs in FA, that it was a sign Beane was locked on to a big bodied WR in tue draft. I fully expected a WR from one of the first two picks. Also wanted one as well, you know... 'surround Josh'. I do get what they are doing. They signed some value guys (Beasley, Brown), have a CFL guy, UDFAs, and Zay. They are going to spend the next year giving all of those guys a chance to prove it, and hope some cream rises to the top. This year was for the lines. They went at AB, but swung out and moved on. So I think it's pretty obvious now that next year is going to be the fanfare year, and they will focus on pass catchers and pass rushers.

SI's Benoit: Oliver pick gets a C

I think you nailed it there. Has to be controversial to get talked about, so why not poke Bills fans. -
SI's Benoit: Oliver pick gets a C
Heavy Kevi replied to Heavy Kevi's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Yeah he is literally the only guy I have heard who thinks it's a bad pick. And I just don't see "high-risk, high-reward" with Oliver either. -

And after signing Star Lotulelei for big money in free agency last year, to pair with 2018 third-rounder Harrison Phillips and gifted (though mercurial) ex-Dolphin Jordan Phillips, they didn’t have a glaring need at defensive tackle. But outside, they badly need an edge rusher, as 2016 first-rounder Shaq Lawson is not that guy and Jerry Hughes could be in his last year with the club. That said, you can make room for a dynamic gap penetrator. Oliver relies on quickness and elusiveness within confined areas, which is a unique style of play. But considering his having had an up-and-down 2018 season and Buffalo not badly needing a defensive tackle, overall this is a high-risk, high-reward pick for a team looking to add talent in multiple places."

When did “Defense End” become “Edge Rusher?”
Heavy Kevi replied to BillyWhiteShows's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Yeah that's what I'm saying. The big guys dedicated to the line, with their hand in the dirt are still DE. The EDGE distinction is for the different guys who are pass rush specialists (to play from end of the line or OLB), the term did not replace DE. -

Because DE no longer describes the type of player. Edge is more of a hybrid DE/OLB that is put in position mostly just to rush the passer, imo of course. -

Albright when asked where DK goes...
Heavy Kevi replied to *******'s topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Would really make this a great draft imo. I was wishy washy about him at 9, but in rd 2 (even if we have to trade up) he's an easy 'run to the podium' type of guy for the Bills. -
Oh. Ok We shall see. I'm holding out hope.

Huh? I must be missing something

I think probably not. But I would like to see it.
