  1. I'm not vitriolic about this at all, and I don't really get the apoplexy from some fans because some no-name commentator is trying to make a name on Josh. But my first thought is that Nick should definitely be scared if he loses this bet. He seems like the type that would still talk sheet at the ketch\must event and a sea of buzzed bills fans aren't exactly the group to taunt, and hammers can be a bit "lord of the flies-ish" But I guess you really can't make that nose any worse🤣 Fun segment though and I hope (for the Bills sake) that Nick is getting covered at the Conf champ game!
  2. I say let's name some streets now and once he wins Super Bowl, then let's name schools, libraries, and hosp... Oh, snap they already named a wing of a hospital after his grandma. Screw it, I'll name my first born "Josh", my dog "Allen", and I'll call Buffalo "Allentown".
  3. But if Mahomes, Rodgers, or Allen has Chubb and Hunt they are still a pass happy team with a good run game. You have a point... But his is just as relevant. You don't all of the sudden go "hey, future HOF QB, now we're a run fist team cuz we got 2 great backs". Just doesn't happen. If you can pass well, you pass first. If you can't pass well, you run the ball. That's just football in this day and age.
  4. I'll echo the several other comments- not giving it to Bosa kind of craps on the credibility of player of the week awards. They should be called "player of the week on a team that won"? Just doesn't have the same ring to it I guess.
  5. Alrighty then. Cool with the white facemasks, but I don't think there's anyone that serious about it.
  6. Quality first post. Someone just needs to tell the DB's to "knock it down" for sheets sake. They are trying to get the glory INT, when knocking it down is the correct play there.
  7. Yes Romo has a man-crush on Tom. But he's also got a little bit of Gruden style "love whoever he's looking at". Overall I think Romo is one of the best announcers ever in the game. Such an in depth understanding of the game, and he articulates in a way that is suitable for everyone. I actually have a hard time thinking of anyone that provides more insight from the booth, and he consistently provides info I have never heard another announcer provide. He's certainly not the only one with unconditional love for Tommy teriffic, and I'm pretty much numb to that at this point anyway.
  8. Never heard of the weekand before but it sounded just like every 80's song. And the guy even looks like he could be Billy Ocean's son (or grandson). Meh... could be worse. Better than rolling out washed up Madonna, Maroon 5, etc... And on first listen it's better than current top 40, country, or rap/hip-hop. But idk who really cares that much. It the part of the game when you piss, grab another beer, and re-heat the nacho cheese. The halftime show is for the people that go to SB parties and say "I'm just watching for the commercials".
  9. Bolded is basically what I started the thread for. If you don't obcess about the things you do poorly, you never improve them. I don't think McD has a problem with that, and that's why it's so odd he hasn't been flipping over rocks looking for ways to improve his challenge win rate. Or maybe he has been and it's not working. Either way he would probably benefit from a position like this (or an upgrade at that position).
  10. Yes I would agree- if we have one, he or she needs to be replaced. Sure, but it was NY who gave Knox's catch to the DB as an INT 🤷 It was clear and obvious Davis' foot didn't go OOB, but it was also clear that simultaneous catch goes to the receiver, so...
  11. Watching Davis' (non)TD today, and the announcers talking about McD's abysmal challenge ratio, I got to thinking. Should McDermott hire a person who's job is only to be the Challenge Specialist? This person would basically tell McD when to challenge, and when not to. Does this position exist already (in Buffalo or somewhere else), and if not why? To me a leader recognizes his weaknesses and delegates those tasks. Clearly knowing when to challenge is a weak spot for McD, and turning around his challenge ratio would be huge.
  12. Almost be a shame to see Gase ruin Lawrence... Almost
  13. Those are great excuses......... I can handle losses, but these are not just losses, this is regression. We lose to great teams and look ok, fine. But when every phase looks lost all of the sudden, something is wrong. This was one of the best teams in the NFL with an MVP candidate through 4 weeks and now they look like they got the blinky thing from MIB and forgot how to play.
  14. True! My only concern is he wont have had enough chances by the time we really need it. What if we need a 50 yarder in a playoff game or important late season game and he's yet to even attempt one under game conditions? Unlikely... but unlikely happens all the time in the NFL (and 2020). I know Hausch was fading but right now we definitely have an unknown quantity at PK.
  15. Kicker does suck right now... ...but he's kinda 4/5, just like Allen hasn't really thrown a pick. They will go down in the stat sheets, but they are clearly zebra error. Hate to see it with Bass mostly because it's so easy to mind-f*** young kickers and it doesn't look like he'll get many opportunities given this offense's red zone conversion percentage.
  16. Nope. This supposition that its a blizzard all the time is just plain false, and it's clear you aren't from the area (or maybe a new fan) because there is usually a single snow game- maybe 2 each year. And we don't need a new stadium. Why? So it can be downtown, with no tailgating, nightmarish driving/parking (its already bad for Sabres games with 17k fans), and double or triple ticket prices? Sure would love to see Buffalo sell out games under those conditions. ...And as mentioned above, how about those MVPs in equally cold GB or NE?
  17. I hate to make the comparison- mostly because everyone uses him as a comparable with every gunslinger, but it reminds me of Favre magic. The supreme talent coupled with an unorthodox style, inventiveness, jubilance in playing the game, has plenty of head-scratching throws, but can just make the magic happen on shear will alone. This kid is fixing to be a true superstar, and is already the talk of the league after 3 games.
  18. Well iirc he was originally a GB packer... then played for the Rams, Giants, and Cardinals. Fits my description of a journeyman.
  19. To me he's just as much the Cards QB who took a paycut to keep his receivers together. And he took both teams to SB's. Not sure that makes Fitz' case. Well, maybe Fitzgerald.
  20. Greatest non-franchise/journeyman QB... Kurt Warner comes to mind. Love Fitz though. His roast of Fred Jackson belongs in some type of HOF
  21. Meh. Not even a good troll job. I'll give it an F+. The + is for the historical reference, and not the substance of the attempted troll.
