  1. Which is funny since they have as many losses as the Bills and Chiefs combined. Honestly I look at being home dogs as a blessing. We've seen this team fail to meet expectations when they were sky high. This year it's "house money" from the outside looking in, but from the inside it's a HUGE mist-win for Sean and Josh. And I think the biggest difference this year is Josh has that "aura" about him. The rest of the team is playing above their skill level because they don't want to let Josh down. It's kind of remarkable. And for all the ***** I give to McD, he's recognized it as well, and has changed his approach to the way he makes some decisions, like going for it on 4th last week when a FG puts them up 9.
  2. Would it though? What if they promoted Joe Brady? The defense would get new leadership and the team a new "mentality", but you could certainly avoid a "cold restart". The offense could stay basically the same, GM stay the same, and Joe could bring in whoever he likes for DC. Given the defense hasn't been good this year anyway, how risky is that really? I get it, new coaches can be highly turbulent. But in this specific case, IF they were to promote Brady; I would argue that's about as clean a transition as would be possible since we have a highly regarded HC candidate on staff currently.
  3. I'm actually ok with this. You don't want to leave too much time left in the clock in case you either score quickly or don't score. 50 seconds with 3 timeouts is an eternity, so you don't have to be in a hurry. And he learned in the 13 seconds game that another team can score quickly. Why leave them extra time?
  4. I've been pretty clear on my criticism of McD and his botched decision making and clock management for a few years now. I am one of the folks who will be calling for a change again if we don't win on Sunday. We can't waste Josh forever.... BUT I do believe the Bills win this game decisively. It means too much to Sean and Josh. Plus they aren't getting blown out by the same team twice in a year. And then... They are a higher seed, but are HOME DOGS in the playoffs. Yowza. I believe they will roll the Ravens, feeling disrespected by Josh getting passed over for all-pro, likely passed over for MVP, and then ravens gonna come to Buffalo and be favored?! Nope. Not this time. This city of losers will humble the ravens and turn the "playoff choker" narrative back on Lamer. This is probably a bigger moment for Sean than the AFCCC we played in. So much at stake. If we win the SB this year, he can stay our coach forever, but if he loses in 2 days he should be let go. It's THAT big of a game and everyone knows it.
  5. Feel free to put me on the ignore list if you can't handle dissenting opinions. With 3:07 left in the third quarter, the score was 13-7. So with a single play, the Broncos could tie the game, with just an extra point away from the lead. At 3:06 Josh makes a great throw and Ty Johnson makes a ridiculous, highly unlikely catch on 4th down to really take control of the game. For almost 42 minutes, this was a one score game. And this was at home against a 7 seed Broncos team that barely made the playoffs, with a rookie QB that went on the road to Buffalo. It's not like this was Baltimore. I get it, this is a Bills board and people want to be optimistic, but there's room for opinions other than just being a cheerleader. I see the things that need to be cleaned up in order to get a championship, something that I guarantee the team is also doing.
  6. For real. This game was much closer than the score indicated. But honestly I feel more confident against BAL than Denver. This team gets up for the big games and that's all that is left. This team is not getting blown out by the same team twice in one year. Hell if Texans can knock off KC, the Bills could get to avenge all of their AFC losses.
  7. Well Josh is just gonna have to outscore them. Here we go again, Josh Allen vs an entire team.
  8. Interesting. From a mental standpoint I completely disagree. I think there's an advantage to practicing like you are going to play and staying in the "grind" mentality. I feel like time off (for just about any job) rounds off your sharp edges and makes you rusty.
  9. Nantz and Romo said they believe Josh cares so much about his consecutive start streak, that he'll play a series or even just 1 down vs. the Pats to keep it going. What do we think?
  10. Win this week, rest next week. Get 2 seed. Gotta take care of business when Baltimore comes to town, and head to KC for the CG. Gonna be tough Hate to quote Nick wright here.... But I think he may have been right when he said between Bills, Ravens, and Chiefs... Whichever team doesn't have to play BOTH of the others will represent the AFC. And unfortunately that looks like the chiefs again. I'll cross my fingers that Baltimore loses in the wc round but they are playing great football right now.
  11. Kinda weird before they even pick MVP What if he doesn't get it? Kinda tacky/ugly imo but I wouldn't be wearing a gargantuan diamond encrusted anything, so.... I'm not the right guy to ask. Flava flav says hi👋
  12. Omg I'm so sorry to hear about your family getting shredded at the corn solstice festival. I bet you can't even eat corn to this day🌽 But I don't want your skunk pelts.
  13. I mean rappoport is a little late to the party. We've known he had a broken hand all season. In other news... Grass is green and so is turf
  14. Hilarious gag gift from the teammates More of a Christmas present for the Elvis impersonator Wrapped up and wheeled in like Hannibal lecter 😂
  15. Bingo Been saying it for years. It would be better off for the fans if we didn't capitulate and go wherever, whenever, or buy any streaming service, or get channels. The NFL has completely forgotten that the fans make it successful and now demand fans do what they say. So far they have largely been a success from a business standpoint because fans have shown they will do anything. But if we wanted to make a difference, I would *not recommended* but admit we would have to either skip the games or watch them on an illegal feed. Only when they feel it in their pockets will they care what fans think. This is why I don't go to games anymore, the game experience is so watered down and expensive. And whenever they do a peacock+ or some other obscure service or channel, I reddit somewhere that you can get the feeds for free if you look around.
  16. Yup This was the Detroit Lions vs Josh Allen Good thing he's the best in the business
  17. Easily McD Sad part is he's a great coach 95% of the time, and builds a great locker room culture Unfortunately the 5% bad is always in the biggest moments. He's a "choker", sad to say it. Especially since Josh is clutch af. How many times have we watched Josh "win the game" and subsequently McD s nach defeat from the jaws of victory?
  18. 100% agree. Though it would require high level on the spot coaching. But we just saw another example of Josh being all-world and McD blowing it. It's good that it's less consequential than a playoff game but it's another canary in the coal mine. Spoiler: the Canary did not come back.
  19. I, too am in group 4; though I have had an underlying "show me the baby" shift. I have often called for McD to get replaced, specifically last year I wanted Harbaugh or Ben Johnson. I think McD's myriad of coaching blunders have, to quote patty Mahomes; "robbed [Josh] of greatness" where I feel Josh "won" some games (not least of all 13 seconds), and McD's decisions gave the game away. The shift for me is due to the inherent nature of defensive HC's needing a good/great OC to work with your franchise QB. Perhaps McD needs that to achieve the greatest success, whereas an Andy Reid or Sean Payton type coach is never gonna leave for their shot at HC for obvious reasons. And McD might just have that OC in Brady. The other contributing factor to the shift for me is how loose the team feels. Sean is obviously a fantastic character guy, a culture guy, who builds a unique comaraderie among the players and gets the most out of them. But, being in group 4, I do feel a duality. This year really does feel like our year, but a part of me is just waiting for the other shoe to drop. After all, we have seen great regular seasons, but can they put it all together in the playoffs and cement this team as one of the ones? And that's why I say "show me the baby". I wouldn't say I have tons of faith in Sean's coaching decisions or our fate this year, but if they can pull it out and bring home the bacon, I'll eat the happiest, largest, most tough and greasy plate of crow you could imagine. And it'll go down like bourbon... But if we lose again in the div round, I'm certain to feel like I felt at the end of the last 2 years... Like it's time for a change.
  20. I like rex But I think it was obvious with the Bills *a decade ago* he doesn't want to put in that kind of work anymore. And that blowhard type tough guy persona just seems incompatible with the fickle hippie currently on their QB depth chart. Now if rex was ready to work and they had a grittier QB (ala Baker, Jameis, etc) this could be interesting given their defensive talent and skill potions.
  21. I think if we see them again it's imperative to score first. Maybe more than once. We don't stop the run well and that's pretty much their whole schtick. Get up on the scoreboard and they can't just hand it off. I also doubt josh would have as rough a game the second time around. Overall I'd be pretty nearvous if we see them again in the playoffs (more than any other team), but we should be favored despite the drubbing we took back in week 4.
  22. Yeah that was gross. He could have sacked Mahomie but stopped trying. I've lost hope. That's the kind of play you bring him in to make against a rival. And instead he was just chillin' between the whistles.
  23. This drive is all on the coaching staff Touch that little mini WR at the line and he won't be able to make a catch 1 second after the snap.
  24. Haven't seen anything on Twitter (don't even have an acct) But yeah I definitely saw him crouching holding that hand and trying to "shake it off". He definitely blasted it off a Phin helmet.
