  1. I try not to put too much stock into "camp highlight" vids put out by teams, but I will say that Dalton looks buttery out there. Just so smooth and natural. He catches the ball like he's catching a little baby. Hopefully he can catch Josh's fastball when he's the hot read and Josh is under pressure. If we had a guy who could be that outlet, it could truly be a game changer for us; especially given the talk this year about Josh focusing on some more short and intermediate throws to open up the shot plays.
  2. In a video released by Bills after the draft (maybe an "embedded") beane said all this directly. I would imagine that's where NYP got the info.
  3. Hoping Torrence can beat out bates by week 1🤞 Interesting they listed all 3 cb2 in the same slot
  4. This is what's so amazing about the jets situation. They have tons of talent on rookie deals and Aaron who is old. So their "window" is literally just 2-3 years before Aaron retires and/or sucks and they can't pay their talent on second contracts. Their team will self destruct in 2ish years, so they REALLY have pressure on them. Josh has a decade left and our window stays open until he gets old and retires or sucks.
  5. I still get all the info here. But if you really need it, I think all these kids on here who use Twitter are getting the updated info faster Luckily I'm a non-participant in social media outside of this site. The information really isn't worth joining the cesspool that is Twitter/FB/tictac for. But it's nice that others wade through the garbage and are willing to share info here!
  6. I'm kind of shocked it's not Taiwan Jones But I'm ok with it. Hines was likely to play a very small role outside of returning, and I would guess now we just take the ball at the 25 whenever possible this year.
  7. Yes I actually have a packer fan buddy who is upset because Jones gets the majority of the carries, and thinks Dillon is alot better.
  8. Meh. We are never set. Cook showed potential, Harris is good. Murray and Hines won't have much impact if at all. If it weren't for kickoff returns last year we'd be saying nyquiem who? And I think Murray turn 106 next month. Realistically you have to look at positions and longevity. Like hiring in business, everyone you hire isn't a "lifer", but you are ALWAYS searching for that. Cook is probably the only one in the RB room that FO views as long termer. If they think Dillon would be a suitable compliment to Cook, go for it. Cook is the only one that matters. Put the way my grandpa would have put it, "Don't trip over dollars [Dillon] to pick up pennies [Murray/Hines]" ...though the same could be said for Hardy/Sherfield and Hopkins.
  9. With spin like that you should join national news media. How has "that focus" (specifically to beat division opponents) been squandered? Because we didn't win a SB? Get real. We beat division teams every time it mattered and they never knocked us down or out. We even looked terrible against the fins in the playoffs but still won. We get it, you (and tons of others) aren't happy the bills couldn't get over the hump .. But that has literally no correlation to division games and it's downright irrelevant to the argument at hand.
  10. I read this a different way. Bills were 2nd in pts/drive despite being average (quite literally) in the RZ. RZ production took a big nosedive last year. With Allen, Bills have been near the top of the league in RZ production until '22. Ergo, if RZ production returns to normal (top 10 at least), Bills will be significantly better (and probably first in the league in pts/drive) Furthermore, the Bills had the fewest amount of drives in the entire NFL last year (close to CIN, because one less game), and even though this is an averages chart, another 8-10 bites at the apple might yield different results. The long and the short of it is this: Bills were better than they looked like last year, and scored alot early in the season, which left a bad taste in fans' mouth. They still finished 2nd in pts/GM while all hell broke loose. Wait until the stars align. If a team is this good, even under crazy circumstances of last year, just have fun and watch... ...because one of these years we will get the bounces to go our way, and this team/Josh is good enough to bring one home.
  11. Lol definitely some delusions of grandeur. "Hornets nest"? Yeah ok, more like a box of kittens🤣
  12. Well if there was ANY speculation that Frasier was going to return, this should put it to bed. Could be named Bills DC after this year if the defense does well. Prob trying to lock in consistency on D after Leslie's exit. I wonder if not naming a DC and not "firing" Frazier could end in bills still getting a comp pick if he gets a HC gig? Could be a reason it ended in this bizzarre, vague way of "taking a year off"
  13. That's my favorite part. We were so uncomfortable as the darling last year. For real! Miller played way too many snaps when healthy last year. Need this guy come playoff time
  14. He's not going to stop trading draft picks... But he does express at least some bit of frustration over the extra picks given up. Just listen to him. Right after day 1 of the draft this year he told McAfee something like (I'm paraphrasing) "yeah you know I've done it [given up picks] historically [then he gives a few examples, elam, Edmunds, josh]. Sometimes I hate myself for giving up all the extra picks" He goes on to say he doesn't want to "lose the guy", and for me that's all ok and makes sense. But he's aware he trades picks away at a clip not matched by other GMs
  15. It's philosophical. Ever since the not-amazong giants took down the "unbeatable" pats in the SB (twice) mainly because of dominant dline rotation, it's been popular for teams to try. The talent level of Buf dline right now vs Osi/Tuck/Strahan/etc is debatable of course, but the approach remains the same: Keep the dline fresh so you can keep pressure on QBs late in games and mitigate the effects of things like no huddle or other sped-up offenses. It works too, just look at those Super Bowls by NYG, and has worked as recently as LAR, and hell, we have two of those same d-lineman on the roster right now.
  16. From what I've seen he doesn't look like a "natural" pass rusher. He looks a little wild and flailing in his movements (they aren't tight). But I've also seen that he doesn't give up on plays and will routinely try multiple techniques or just go all the way around the tackle and catch the QB. He looks like he's trying like hell, all motor, and just laser focused on the QB. Von is ALOT more natural and smooth, but Floyd still brings the wood, even if it's not as pretty. (Layman's observations) All in all he should be productive on this defense; a defense that I betting we will see get alot more aggressive and blitz-y. That was McDs "problem?" In Carolina, being somewhat too aggressive and counting on the secondary to be dominant. But we do have a roster right now well suited to that style. Really dig this signing even if I'm still concerned about WR and the AFC arms race.
  17. That doesn't make you old.....right? Right? RIGHT!?
  18. Good reasoning But far too low a ranking. I'm no McDermott homer but he's at least top half of the league. He's like 65-35 w/l or something like that. That's a good coach even if I'm concerned about his decisions in the biggest moments.
  19. Yup they are so dumb. If you make it harder to watch legally, people will take the path of least resistance. I pay for several streaming services, but let me put it this way: I'm not signing up for peacock AND I'm not missing a playoff game.
  20. He'll sign with Jets. Negotiating tactic I'm sure. I would imagine everyone in that building thinks they can win a sb this year. He'll maybe they are right idk
  21. We ll in terms of when the games are, that's easily the worst schedule I've ever seen. I know, they are good and so the schedule puts them in the spotlight. But I just want Sunday 1pm games, and this year they are an endangered species
