  1. I DVR'd it but had seen an email right before I started watching that said the Bills won...so I knew the outcome going in... But if I had been watching live, that 4th quarter would've given me a heart attack.
  2. Yeah, I see no reason to trade up for a QB unless it's an obvious Andrew Luck-type of player.
  3. I'm really hoping for a great year, of course, but I can't imagine this team's good fortune continuing - the favorable calls, the turnovers at the right time, etc. - with the severe lack of talent and playmakers they have on offense. The injuries to Humber and Mathews don't help, either. The Bengals game will say a lot...
  4. This team is over-performing. I love the new attitude that McD has brought to Buffalo, but let's be real: we have no offense. TT has no one to throw to but Clay and Shady, and behind Shady is literally nobody. We've lost a starting LB and WR to injury for at least a month, and we have benefited greatly from some questionable calls that have gone our way. I'm all in on this new regime, and I'm excited for the future of the Buffalo Bills. But right now? This team is winning with smoke and mirrors. And one helluva good defense.
  5. You do not win many games on the road by kicking field goals. Look at that GB/SEA playoff game two years ago...McCarthy chooses to kick FGs in the first half instead of go for it on 4th and goal from the 1 twice...they dominate the Seahwaks, yet the Seahwaks come back and win the game. On the road, take the risk and try and score touchdowns.
  6. lol this kind of thinking is why Chuck Pagano still has a job. You're wrong. I'm sorry that's hard to accept. Giving one example where it didn't work out doesn't make it any less of the right call. That's like people saying Nate Silver was wrong when he said "Hillary has an 80% chance of winning the election." Math? How does it work?
  7. Yeah, that Giants game two years ago was disgusting
  8. You're right, I meant the Dolphins: Baltimore L 13-7 NY JetsL L37-31 ArizonaW W 33-18 New England W 16-0 Los Angeles W 30-19 San Francisco W 45-16 Miami L 28-25
  9. It is almost ALWAYS better to go for it on 4th and G from the 1. No matter what point in the game it is. Even on the first drive of the game. If you don't make it, the other team has the ball backed up in their end zone. It's not exactly a win/win, but it's damn close. Naturally, kicking the FG would be better depending on score and game situations. This wasn't one of those.
  10. yup Beat the Pats without Brady and the Cards coming off their SB year. Also, the 49ers and Rams.
  11. I too feel different about this team...love the coaching staff and that the players have bought in. Would be nice to have an offensive player other than McCoy an Clay, though. A WR would be nice lol.
  12. He's getting open...I just think he's pressing too much...he'll come around
  13. we started 0-2 and then rattled off 4 straight...and then laid an egg vs. the Giants.
  14. The math says your wrong. I so hate these traditional football fans who believe John Gruden when he says, "You have to take points there!" No, you play to win the game...they punch it in there and go up ten, the game is all but over. Instead, we had to sweat it out. And there is some research that being up 3 is actually better than being up 6 late in a game, because most team play for the FG and the tie unless they break a big play. Down 6, they know they have to get the TD. they should've gone for the TD on 4th and 1.
  15. Bills' record since 2011 after the first few games: 2016: 4-2 2015: 3-2 2014: 3-2 2013: 2-2 2012: 3-3 2011: 5-2 I'm loving this..but let's see what they do in Cincinnati...
  16. The real mistake was not going for it on 4th and goal from the 1 and make it a 10 point game. Kicking the FG there was weak.
  17. Man, I really want EJ to do well...he deserves a break.

  19. Wow...I'm so befuddled by thinking like this, I'm not even sure if unity is even possible anymore.
  20. LOL at pulling out the manual like the NFL is some bastion of patriotism...players are only out there for the Anthem in the first place because the Defense Department paid the NFL millions to have them on the field for recruitment purposes into the Armed Services.
  21. Surely arguing that Tamir !@#$ing Rice had somehow provoked his own shooting deserves some kind of ban, no?
  22. 1) You keep harping on "offensive," as it if it actually means anything. So what if you think it's offensive? I don't. So who's right? 2) What part of the above quote from Kaep is false?? 3) Stating that things are not like they were in the 50s is a false equivalency. Yes, things ARE better now but that doesn't mean that there is no systemic oppression of people of color anymore.
  23. Is this a real question? In a world with instant information at your fingertips, I'm not sure how anyone could actually believe this. And anyway, if he actually WAS Muslim...so what?
