  1. What I don’t understand is why there is so much pushback still? After 13 seconds the guy should have been fired. Plain and simple, end of story. There’s no excuse for it and if we never win a Super Bowl then that is going to be even worse. The guy inexcusably got off the hook, got a whole other season to right the wrong and only was worse somehow. After week 2 this defense sucked. Fraizer was horrible In Minnesota and runs the plainest defense in the NFL. Every week the opponent says out loud, nothing we do is complicated. We never change anything. Poyer and Hyde covered up so much of how bad this scheme actually is. You don’t have them erasing the faults and you see what this really is. A remedial defense that gets shredded by any patient accurate QB or any physical run game.
  2. I think one thing that can work in our favor is the expectations will fall off nationally. We are going to start to be looked at as paper tigers and behind the Bengals and Chiefs. I think being able to fall back into an “underdog” role might be good for us. A little motivation to show that we still have that juice. Might bring back a little intensity
  3. No matter what anyone thinks of the regular game, watching 5 min of this…bring back the normal game please
  4. At this point there’s no reason to think he won’t be back. In the back of my mind I’ll just know the next season probably has an expiration date. That’s very upsetting. I can’t imagine a situation where anything gets better with Fraizer involved. The guy runs the same thing every week every drive regardless of down or distance. If the guys we have on the back end weren’t incredible, we’d be one of the worst defenses in football. It’s embarrassing that a top end team trots out a pre season defensive scheme. All you can hope is the guy somehow leaves on his own. At this point there’s no reason to think he won’t be back. 5. It’s insane to me how many people keep ignoring the issues here. It’s actually been the same for 2.5 years. Obviously the Bills are also ignoring it which is incredibly frustrating. Go get WRs….that will fix it
  6. How about the rest of the season? The playoff game? And we had 34 points in that game.
  7. The bengals scored on every drive that mattered. Once it was clear the game was over and there was no threat, the foot was off the gas. There was zero resistance and the defense held them to nothing. When it was just a matter of running out time, that’s when they stopped pushing the issue. The bengals had anything they wanted from the start of the game. Either game honestly. We got lucky to get a no decision in the first.
  8. It feels like somehow from the minute the game ended all everyone wants to talk about is lack of weapons and the offense. I feel like I’m taking crazy pills here. This team casually scores 30 every week like it’s nothing but we get run over constantly. I know this was about something else I guess I just wanted to have people relax over the Josh stuff. He’s probably trying to do too much because he knew he needed 7 on every drive.
  9. The bengals could have scored every time they touched the ball. God forbid our offense has an off day and doesn’t bail them out. Literally every week the offense wins us games, 1 time they don’t have it and that’s a big deal. How about once in a while have the defense making stops. You might have to win a game 13-10. You just never can because our defense absolutely blows. Let’s spend the offseason complaining about WRs and Dorsey though….keep not fixing the actual problem and wonder why we are watching the Super Bowl with the fans.
  10. No. We are probably going to fall out of favor a little here with the flash games
  11. Switch to a 3-4? They won’t take the nickel off the field on 2nd and 1. This team is calling the same defense every down like it’s preseason and just wondering why it can’t stop Burrow and Mahomes
  12. I think what it is for me is : Mahomes is the best QB in the league. I have never seen a guy pass like Mahomes. He somehow almost never makes a bad throw it’s inconceivable. The guy is the closest thing to Brady that you are going to get when it’s all over and it’s amazing how easy he makes it look. Allen is the best player in the league. Nobody can do what Allen can do. The combination of throwing and rushing with Allen is borderline unstoppable when it on. There have been good QBs that can move but not like this. Allen is not only fast but he is a powerful runner. He also is insanely tough and also an excellent passer. Accurate, aggressive and possibly the best arm in the league. Cam Newtons legs with John Elways arm. Something you just don’t see. There’s no player in the league Id want more then Josh. I’m totally good with expectations going down here nationally. I actually think it’s taken a lot of the fun out of football for me. You almost fast forward mentally through the regular season now because you are just assuming you will be there. I don’t like that feeling. It used to happen a lot for me with the Rangers. It’s almost like you can’t do anything well. It’s either you do what you are supposed to do, or you let down. I want to enjoy the ride because one day this will end. A 13 win season shouldn’t feel like we left a few out there. It should feel good. And these ridiculous expectations ruined any joy you get from the ride here. We need to reinvent the way we play on both offense and defense or this thing is always going to end the same. Wether people want to realize it or not, the Chiefs and Bengals have good defenses. I don’t care what these advanced statistical nerd sites keep saying about our defense compared to theirs….our defense is terrible. That’s why we keep losing in the playoffs. You don’t need to be told who is good by hidden dvoa numbers. Watch the games. The chiefs and bengals make stops against good physical teams and good QBs. Our DC was horrible in Minnesota and never once gets to or slows down anyone that plays physical. Every single accurate QB that’s willing to take the simple throw, has all day to carve is up on 3rd down. When we aren’t forcing turnovers, we aren’t making stops and that’s not sustainable. This is the actual truth and the issue with this team. That’s why they keep making it further then us.
  13. Let this guy get away from Burrough and Chase and see how good he really is. Probably will go to the Bears and just disappear
  14. The defense is this team biggest issue. I think it’s Fraizer but if it’s both of them. Whatever. Just start getting rid of people and fix it. I want McDermott to stick around but I need a completely new voice in the defensive headset here. The defense is why we can’t win a Super Bowl. Fix it.
  15. I actually think we have exceptional talent on defense. The scheme is the issue.
  16. We have a very deep roster
  17. My entire point was to adjust the philosophy into a more physical, balanced attack. It’s very doable and not a pipe dream whatsoever. It’s a shift in mentality and coaching scheme with some run game pieces added. The eagles commit to the run and push the line of scrimmage on both sides of the ball. You are getting hung up on the semantics of the roster here
  18. Why? Why would you not keep working? We are about to drastically overhaul the defense personnel wise
  19. The more I think about it, the further into this era we get….I think I want a pretty legitimate philosophical and mentality change. I know it won’t happen and I’m sure I’m wasting my words. I want to shift to extreme balance. I want to see what this team looks like with an exceptional run game. I know it won’t be popular, I know exactly what everyone will say. I think our only path to a championship, is with current Josh Allen skill set and a dominant run game. Considering everything. I think that’s our best path to finishing one of these things off. I don’t want to be the chiefs at this point. I want us to be the Eagles. I want a dominant, tone setting physical style on both sides of the ball. And I want an all world RB to take a ton of the load and attention off of our QB. This throwing every down isn’t for me and in Buffalo weather, it’s not sustainable. We aren’t going to beat the chiefs and bengals at their A game. They are better at that than us. Let’s branch off and be the team that’s different and have both an excellent passing and excellent rushing game. Make the other team defend the entire field, every snap, every game. Not just air raid. I want a top 5 RB in the nfl to be the A#1 going forward. Don’t worry about what people think.
  20. The only accountability for last season better not only fall on this safety’s coach. The guy’s responsibility is a drop in the bucket. Come on. Do better with this defense
  21. I don’t have an issue with him being tall. He’s super physical and athletic. I want the tone set in the interior
  22. It’s not even about money at this stage for me. I just flat out don’t even want him back. I want a new downhill physical LB that plays fast with instincts and tackling ability. Edmunds always looks like he’s thinking first, then moving. I want a guy that just plays fast football and just transforms our Defense into a physically imposing unit. Draft a guy in round 1 or 2 and just let Edmunds go learn somewhere else.
  23. This probably isn’t the place to ask this but before we move on from Brown, can we try him at guard? I feel like this guy might be a monster in that tight space
  24. Everyone’s new thing was Beane only drafted 1 pro bowler besides Allen. Then you make fun of the guys that get chosen for the game. Which one is it here? Is it a big deal that we aren’t drafting pro bowlers or is the thing a joke anyway and not a good interpretation of who the good players really are?
  25. The acceptance of the interpretation of this rule is insane. When you see 0, turn your head then see if the ball gets snapped? How is that ok? When it’s 0, it’s s penalty. It’s that simple. It could take a ref any amount of time to look after they see 0. Then whenever they call it is on them basically. The clock is there to count down. When it’s 0, should be a buzzer just like shot clock violation. Not when it’s 0, the ref will then decide how long after to react. Dafuk is that even tolerated
