Should the Bills switch to a 3-4 defense?
Brianmoorman4jesus replied to Tipster19's topic in The Stadium Wall
Switch to a 3-4? They won’t take the nickel off the field on 2nd and 1. This team is calling the same defense every down like it’s preseason and just wondering why it can’t stop Burrow and Mahomes -
Josh = Phil Rivers (just messenger)
Brianmoorman4jesus replied to Over 29 years of fanhood's topic in The Stadium Wall
I think what it is for me is : Mahomes is the best QB in the league. I have never seen a guy pass like Mahomes. He somehow almost never makes a bad throw it’s inconceivable. The guy is the closest thing to Brady that you are going to get when it’s all over and it’s amazing how easy he makes it look. Allen is the best player in the league. Nobody can do what Allen can do. The combination of throwing and rushing with Allen is borderline unstoppable when it on. There have been good QBs that can move but not like this. Allen is not only fast but he is a powerful runner. He also is insanely tough and also an excellent passer. Accurate, aggressive and possibly the best arm in the league. Cam Newtons legs with John Elways arm. Something you just don’t see. There’s no player in the league Id want more then Josh. I’m totally good with expectations going down here nationally. I actually think it’s taken a lot of the fun out of football for me. You almost fast forward mentally through the regular season now because you are just assuming you will be there. I don’t like that feeling. It used to happen a lot for me with the Rangers. It’s almost like you can’t do anything well. It’s either you do what you are supposed to do, or you let down. I want to enjoy the ride because one day this will end. A 13 win season shouldn’t feel like we left a few out there. It should feel good. And these ridiculous expectations ruined any joy you get from the ride here. We need to reinvent the way we play on both offense and defense or this thing is always going to end the same. Wether people want to realize it or not, the Chiefs and Bengals have good defenses. I don’t care what these advanced statistical nerd sites keep saying about our defense compared to theirs….our defense is terrible. That’s why we keep losing in the playoffs. You don’t need to be told who is good by hidden dvoa numbers. Watch the games. The chiefs and bengals make stops against good physical teams and good QBs. Our DC was horrible in Minnesota and never once gets to or slows down anyone that plays physical. Every single accurate QB that’s willing to take the simple throw, has all day to carve is up on 3rd down. When we aren’t forcing turnovers, we aren’t making stops and that’s not sustainable. This is the actual truth and the issue with this team. That’s why they keep making it further then us. -
2023 Running Back Depth Chart: You Choose
Brianmoorman4jesus replied to Rigotz's topic in The Stadium Wall
I actually think we have exceptional talent on defense. The scheme is the issue. -

2023 Running Back Depth Chart: You Choose
Brianmoorman4jesus replied to Rigotz's topic in The Stadium Wall
My entire point was to adjust the philosophy into a more physical, balanced attack. It’s very doable and not a pipe dream whatsoever. It’s a shift in mentality and coaching scheme with some run game pieces added. The eagles commit to the run and push the line of scrimmage on both sides of the ball. You are getting hung up on the semantics of the roster here -

Why? Why would you not keep working? We are about to drastically overhaul the defense personnel wise -
2023 Running Back Depth Chart: You Choose
Brianmoorman4jesus replied to Rigotz's topic in The Stadium Wall
The more I think about it, the further into this era we get….I think I want a pretty legitimate philosophical and mentality change. I know it won’t happen and I’m sure I’m wasting my words. I want to shift to extreme balance. I want to see what this team looks like with an exceptional run game. I know it won’t be popular, I know exactly what everyone will say. I think our only path to a championship, is with current Josh Allen skill set and a dominant run game. Considering everything. I think that’s our best path to finishing one of these things off. I don’t want to be the chiefs at this point. I want us to be the Eagles. I want a dominant, tone setting physical style on both sides of the ball. And I want an all world RB to take a ton of the load and attention off of our QB. This throwing every down isn’t for me and in Buffalo weather, it’s not sustainable. We aren’t going to beat the chiefs and bengals at their A game. They are better at that than us. Let’s branch off and be the team that’s different and have both an excellent passing and excellent rushing game. Make the other team defend the entire field, every snap, every game. Not just air raid. I want a top 5 RB in the nfl to be the A#1 going forward. Don’t worry about what people think. -
Joe Danna named Bills safety coach
Brianmoorman4jesus replied to Draconator's topic in The Stadium Wall
The only accountability for last season better not only fall on this safety’s coach. The guy’s responsibility is a drop in the bucket. Come on. Do better with this defense -
Dawkins, Saffold and Knox added to Pro Bowl

I don’t have an issue with him being tall. He’s super physical and athletic. I want the tone set in the interior -
Would you resign Edmunds or a tackle?
Brianmoorman4jesus replied to 78thealltimegreat's topic in The Stadium Wall
It’s not even about money at this stage for me. I just flat out don’t even want him back. I want a new downhill physical LB that plays fast with instincts and tackling ability. Edmunds always looks like he’s thinking first, then moving. I want a guy that just plays fast football and just transforms our Defense into a physically imposing unit. Draft a guy in round 1 or 2 and just let Edmunds go learn somewhere else. -

This probably isn’t the place to ask this but before we move on from Brown, can we try him at guard? I feel like this guy might be a monster in that tight space -

Everyone’s new thing was Beane only drafted 1 pro bowler besides Allen. Then you make fun of the guys that get chosen for the game. Which one is it here? Is it a big deal that we aren’t drafting pro bowlers or is the thing a joke anyway and not a good interpretation of who the good players really are? -
Sound a horn when play clock expires
Brianmoorman4jesus replied to Utah John's topic in The Stadium Wall
The acceptance of the interpretation of this rule is insane. When you see 0, turn your head then see if the ball gets snapped? How is that ok? When it’s 0, it’s s penalty. It’s that simple. It could take a ref any amount of time to look after they see 0. Then whenever they call it is on them basically. The clock is there to count down. When it’s 0, should be a buzzer just like shot clock violation. Not when it’s 0, the ref will then decide how long after to react. Dafuk is that even tolerated -
Using that many guys and constantly using all of those guys is very different. I’m not wrong and I’m not going to say I am. We rotate too much. There’s a ton of grey area between using a guy a handful of snaps for a rest and using pre determined entire until rotations regularly. I don’t even know how to find stats that would show all of it all I can find is this from 21. https://billswire.usatoday.com/2021/12/04/next-gen-stats-buffalo-bills-rotate-defensive-line-sean-mcdermott/ at that point we had 5 games ourselves of that type of rotation and the rest of the 31 teams in the nfl had a total of 3. Using 8 guys isn’t the same as giving 8 or 9 games almost equal playing time
-
We rotate more than anyone. Our good Dlinemen barely even play half the game. It’s too much. You want to give a guy I breath here and there, fine. But not entire drives of full line rotation constantly. It’s incredible we won’t put a 3rd LB in obvious run situations and will just let teams run it down our throat in nickel no matter what but we will rotate the Dline no matter what

The Bills have a Tre White problem
Brianmoorman4jesus replied to Back2Buff's topic in The Stadium Wall
Our problem is philosophical and not personnel related on defense. If that doesn’t chance, it won’t even matter. Guys just falling back giving accurate QBs all day to hit simple throws. It sounds even more ridiculous every time I say it. Hoping a QB gets bored taking easy throws….this is a grown adults mindset -

I’m good with White and Elam. I think you just figure very soon, if not now…Elam becomes the 1 and White is the 2 -
Maybe I moss understand the definition of the rule, but Is it not that dressing a 3rd QB doesn’t count against the game day active and it actually gives you 1 extra guy anyway? Essentially that the 3rd QB is a free active roster spot regardless? Not having a 3rd QB dressed is insane to me. You are 2 plays away from having a RB playing QB in a playoff game. Teams are to cute for their own good

3 super physical, town setting, aggressive powerhouse defensive philosophies in the division. And here we come with the drop back and ***** shell that was horrible In Minnesota. Just wasting Josh’s prime
